- Nobody deep dives a race like Geo. His passion and dedication to what he loves doing shows in each and every race he handicaps.
On this show Geo gets into a little nuts and bolts of what he does and why he prefers to go all in with his work if he is going to make a wager.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us beginning punters! 📯🐎💰🙏
Right on brother got it saved looking forward to it you all keep up the great work. Gracias from the left coast
Geo, You’ve been very generous with your time and wisdom (Skills). Thanks!
Matt, thanks for the kind words & for chiming in, big summer ahead, Let's Go-Get-em
Thank you for the reminder that we need to play Within the Pick 5 sequence. Great stuff!
Thanks for chiming in with your comment, it's appreciated, Yes, how often do horse players play a Pick 5 , crush 3 or 4 of the races, and make NO money? it's nuts, if 2 of your better opinions are running in back to back races, realize the expected odds and make a DD wager at an amount where if you hit it, you cover the cost of your pick 5 ticket
The Handicapping Guru speaks.
Geo excellent synopsis into your Handicapping approach
Geo, informative as always. As a casual player, I don’t spend the time to watch replays and if I did, wouldn’t know how to interpret them. But, with a desire to be a better casual handicapper, I was wondering if it would be of benefit to better understand how to utilize the form better and if so, would you be willing to actually give a tutorial showing how you use the form to separate horses? Maybe a Clm race, or G1 race if they’re different? Not sure it this is even sensible, but it’s a question I’ve been wondering for quite some time
Geo…Saturday you passed out some fish, which I appreciate. Today you are teaching me how to fish…which I appreciate even more. Thank you sir! 👊🏼
Let's Go -get-em 😀, thanks for taking the time to comment
You guys are great. I hope you can get back on the beam at the big races...... like the K Derby,Preakness.Belmont.& Foster
Thanks for Chiming in, stay tuned, so much coming throughout the year
Thank you for your informative insights, Geo. You shared your handicapping plan of attack concisely and I’m looking forward to more videos from you.
Thanks for chiming in, much appreciated!
Thx for your generosity! could you expand on in a future video how to determine when to bet win only vs adding the exacta, tri, super and muli race wagers?
Thanks so much for chiming in with your comment, very much appreciated , absolutely, I will put together added shows which serve your request, no doubt there are specific times, especially with G1 or G2 races where a strong opinion surfaces and the WIN bet is the # 1 opportunity to have covered
Thank you Jon setting geo set big race Jim and Charles Trent to be real u guys really good at betting I haven't deposited in my account for awhile using some angles u guys play amd coming up with my own. my tvg account is at $265 also I gotta thank someone else who wrote a book how to pick long shots great book
Thanks for chiming in, let's have a big month of July! Saratoga opens in 8 days
Not to nitpick, but this is about BETTING. I didn't catch any angles about how you HANDICAP to get the #s in the first place. I'm sure you're aware of things like speed class distance. That's usually what's handicap and I get your bedding is what you're talking about here right? What a wonderful piece of work, though. I don't think most people could survive with the ALL, ALL, with ALL approach, but I wouldn't argue with your success. Can't help but notice your partner John on the same channel doesn't Advocate boxing or Wheeling it shows how different approaches work for different people I first went to the track with my grandfather on Santa Anita around 1950 I was 12 years old. And it's a pleasure to listen to your hard work and all you put into it thank you very much
Rosemany, Thanks for reaching out, all comments or questions are always greatly appreciated, To add more to what you shared, if you remember me saying, there are 100 other contributing factors, I would be speaking for 4 hours if I covered them all, watch again, I share that a few times, the DFR along and it's past performances give you 100's of things to verify, you mentioned, speed, class, distance, of course & so much more, I'm huge on pedigree and bloodlines, especially for 2-year olds, but even still more as they progress , take on longer distances and get into Stakes company of that's their path, you mentioned ALL-ALL, I never mentioned the word ALL, not once, and in 45+ years handicapping, I have NEVER once hit the all button, as for Boxing, as I shared, by default you have losing bets in the mix, I specifically spoke about it after you have made your precise straight, and your Key, not once with ALL, but over the horses that made your handicap, and ONLY if the odds of the horses you made in your handicap , several are huge, 30-+, for example, then it just logical sense to play a box, to avoid losing by a nose, neck or head with a BIG priced horse you made in your handicap, you are sacrificing a few bucks and if you hit your precise, you hot your key and your box by default...
PS: Rosemarie, I went back and watched all I shared, and I even spoke of the importance of speed figures too. Remember, regarding a Super or Triple key, I spoke ONLY about using horse that made my handicap, not ALL in the field
@@geo7settePastTheWire this made sense to me bro…
Oh, what a detailed wonderful response. The Title said " Handicapping " that's what I was referring to. Like which Handicapping factors allow you to narrow down the " deep 5 or 6" to selections for pk4, pk5,etc. Easiest would be if you just maybe it's Saratoga one day but what you're going to bet as opposed to the 5 or 6 horse grid in each race. The actual bets and why. You couldn't be possibly more thorough but isn't that what most of the selectors do? I really appreciate your response and I'm learning a lot.
As an example every day My Sons and I get the form we look for certain angles. And at most we make 1 or 2 bets a day, not ' every race', no. That's just our approach, there's always fresh races. Anyway, we look for Animals 3rd off a layoff, we look for entrants that showed marked improvement in its last 2 races. We look for hidden entries. We love the game and need keep high, high percent correct bets. We bet Show only..@28 or@56 $. Everyone has a different goal over there. But I'm sure You agree, it's got to stay Fun! Thanks again for thought provoking effort by You, Sir
Nice video Geo . Sadly it seems the 12 horse MSW dirt sprint fields are a thing of the past . Now it’s 7-8 more the norm and sometimes even shorter
Thanks for chiming in, I'm expecting big 10+ fields in MSW 2 year old races at Saratoga, many will be mostly 1st time starters, that's when a DEEP pedigree dive and analysis is essentially needed too
Great posts paisan always and much appreciated!.. Ty!…Geo ..an interesting idea I’m sure others will feel the same would be just how u Capp a race and yr approach.. I know the variables are numerous when taking apart a race but curious on how u take apart a race and what variables u weigh more than others..just an idea..thx and God Bless
Good morning & thanks for chiming in with your comment, it's very much appreciated, Yes, I will do a future show on my specific approach towards every level of racing, from maidens to the top shelf Graded stakes races
Thanks for your time ! Happy 4th ! Romans 8:31
Thanks for watching Gary 👍
You just explained in about 20 minutes why horse racing has no future. The idea of spending 3 days on 1 card just to find a bunch of maybe’s is the definition of insanity. Even better when the races end up coming off the turf. No sane person would do that. You might as well go play baccarat for a couple of hours. You will probably lose less money in the long run.
Nick, Thanks for chiming in, all comments are embraced and appreciated, however, no insanity here, horse racing is entertainment, and gambling, but to me it's also investing, I work longer, smarter and harder than others who contribute to the odds, Sure, it's possible for an experienced handicapper to head to the track and win various races on the card WITHOUT fully preparing for a few days and MANY hours in race review, I have done it, but when it comes to being prepared, thoroughly prepared, as I shared, there are 100's of contributing factors to cover, yes, hours and hours, at times, very arduous, but with my hard earned money, very much worth it...
PS: In addition to my 1st reply to you, I'm always prepared if a race comes off the turf, if my horses that made my handicap are scratched, I do not play the race, unless I found an opportunity during my handicap and noted who I know I would like in the event the race came off the turf or conditions changed from Fast To Sloppy on the dirt, Lastly, you mentioned Baccarat, not the same in any regard, I'm playing against other players, like in Poker, the house just gets their rake or take out, those who bet horses regularly and do not execute a thorough handicap, lose all the time, some people don't handicap at all, and play names and numbers, those are the players I love to have in the pools I'm betting into
