the worst part of this movie is that it's trying to be an earnest romance on a ridiculous premise, they should've gone full comedy (with good comedy writers lol) or full romance cause the whole him repairing and working for the school making her see him as a genuinely sweet guy was actually kind of cute

Yup. Sheriff was a thief guy that kept getting away, and the other guy was the sidekick character to Sandberg (main character of show)
