this show is super underrated . i cant believe they are not making 20 seasons of it.. if i was a multi billionair i would have invest money into this to never stop production always make legit content no lgtbq bbulshid like disney+ did to starwars .
one of the main characters is legit gay and comes from a race that is almost entirely gay
@@daralover1 lazt season was messed up with LGBTQ shid. That poision is in all of Hollywood stuffs theses days like disney+ is worth 200billion $ . They spread and whole west is crupt now. I'm only watching old series now it sucks 😔
I love the show, but I am afraid the biggest surprise regarding season 4 will be when it will finally be aired... I fear it will be measured in years...

At one extreme you have total comedy (Red Dwarf and Hitchhickers Guide to Galaxy or Earth Girls are Easy are good examples).
At the other extreme you have 100 percent serious with no comic relief. Blake's 7 or (admittedly not science fiction) Law and Order are examples.
This show is almost perfectly right in the middle ground as it has serious issues and certain parts of the story are pretty serious but it also is part comedy, a science fiction "dramedy".
Straight comedies eventually run out of ways to still seem funny without being repetitive and shows that are too serious tire the audience out. This show with the perfect balance between those 2 extremes will keep audiences interested much longer.
I won't be alive in the 25th century (unless you believe in reincarnation I guess) but I strongly believe that when the era of this show arrives we won't have interstellar travel. The show is only 4 centuries (approximately, I don't know the exact dates) in the future and it took over half a century to get from the invention of airplane to astronaut in orbit and that was nearly 2 thirds of a century ago and the best we have done with human exploration is putting a few people on the moon for a few days and an astronaut trip to Mars is probably decades in the future. On those time scales there is no way we can travel hundreds or thousands of light years in 400 years. If this level of space travel ever happens (a big if) it is probably several THOUSAND years in the future.

The main thing it needs to change is runtime, needs to go back to 30 minute episodes, last season episodes were to long and I almost stopped watching multiple times due to it being to long for the story the episode was telling, it just dragged

The Orville is such a great sci-fi series. On the other side kurtzman´s garbage is the worst TV material ever produced.
It’s more Star Trek than New Trek. Discovery Season 4 was bad IMO. Picard…bad. Strange New Worlds - TERRIBLE IMO…
I agree. Strange New Worlds sucks. Picard Season 3 was a desperate grab at ratings by re-assembling the Next Generation crew. Discovery completely sucked. I'm glad that show is over. And, I'm no fan of Lower Decks. Star Trek is NOT animated comedy.
