EP46: Exploring the Beautiful Discovery Coast | Agnes Water, 1770, Bundaberg | Lap of Australia

- In this week’s episode we’re here on the Discovery Coast and spend some time visiting the stunning town of Agnes Water and 1770 where Captain Cook’s second landfall on the coast of Australia happened. We then continue south and check out the lovely sugar cane town of Bundaberg.
We start in Agnes Water/1770 and checkout the point where Captain Cook landed and the beautiful coastline.
We take a walk through the impressive Paperbark Forest, take a trip on the famous LARC and watch an amazing sunset, one of the few places on the East Coast where you can watch the sunset over the water.
Onto Bundaberg where we visit the famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery, take a tour and try (buy) some of their booze. We also couldn’t resist stopping by the Bundaberg Ginger Beer Factory to do some taste testings then spend some time checking out the town.
We are Hannah, Chris and dog Archie, setting off on a 12(ish) month trip around Australia - our BIG Staycation, with the whole of Australia as our backyard! We've quit our jobs, rented the house and gone from never towing a caravan, to touring the country full time with one! We're learning as we go! / staycationoz

Breathtaking - yet more glorious scenery. Having read about Bundaberg when I first visited Australia, it's been nice, after all these years to see the actual Rum distillery and watch you both appreciating its products.

only just catching up our son got a bottle of the expensive Rum for Christmas but I don't think he will be sharing it anytime soon. Loved this episode lived in CQ for 30 years and never visited 1770 but its on the list now😄😄😄
1770 is just such a stunning and peaceful place, it’s one of our favourite places on the east coast! And the sunsets are just awesome!! 👌☀️

I see you have an anti-flap kit. How do you find it? We are contemplating buying something and weighing up the different kits….
Yea it’s great! We got ours from Aldi when they had a caravan sale haha, it does the job! But when it’s really windy a set of those anti flap bars would’ve been great! Thanks as always for watching!! 👍
