There are two miracles of the nature; fasting and sleeping.
Both are healing your overall health. Also, fasting is the most effective anti-aging application.

I've been morbidly obese for many years (class 3 - BMI >45). Before the pandemic I reduced to class 1 almost into the overweight category with prolonged fasting. The pandemic caused a backtrack so now I'm back doing cyclical prolonged fasts in a 30 day- 3 day refeed - 10 day- 3 day refeed- 20 day- 3 day refeed 10 day - 3 day refeed and then repeat.
I have regular blood tests and my doctor is supervising. I daily track my blood glucose, BP, keytones, and weight.
Once my BMI is < 30 (overweight) I plan to take a 30 day break, maintaining with an intermittent routine then switch to another cyclical but this time with a 14 - 21 day cycle until my BMI is 20.
I plan to continue with an IF routine for at least 2 years hoping my body will adjust and start maintaining homeostasis at that new weight.

Wow!!! You have done very well!
      Congratulations!
I have been ( few years ago) the most I ever weigh is 98,8 kg.
Now, in June I was 89 kg, but started keto + intermittent fasting when my doctor found I had Diabetes 2.
I have now already beaten diabetes, and my doctor was amazed ☺️ He wondered how I did that. I told him.
He said he had never met a patient being rid of diabetes so fast.
So since last week in June I have lost 17 kg.
      I am 174 cm tall. (5'8.)
Now my BMI is 23, 8.
Normal weight kategory but on the higher level.
I want to weight around 60 - 65 kg, so I have a few kg down to go.
Guess by next summer I am slim like 39 years ago.
I had feast meal this Friday Dec.2. with my birthday cake plus some snacks after the dinner and creamcake, so I have chosen to fullfast a few days to burn away that. I am now on day 3.
But normally I eat every day a cold meal at 2 pm and warm dinner at 5 pm and fasting 20 hours till next day.
If you do that you will lose easy.
You dont have to starve for so long periodes. Make a 4 hours " Eating window" and eat 2 meals. Its easier.
Just cut the sugar or carbs that the body will transform to sugar.
Eat fish, meat, bacon, real milk and real butter, real mayonaise, lots of eggs, chicken, sausages and salafs with Olive oil, and vegetables growing above ground, and chose berries/ not fruit, because blodsugar and insuline will react also on fruit sugar. Treat yourself with strawberries and blueberries with real cream. Ah, and also eat cheese. Your body will thrive, your insuline will not store bodyfat anymore.
Good luck! ❤️ and Merry Christmas.
      You will make it!

Paradoxically, fasting is both stressful and renewing. It’s like being given 5 more hours every day, or 2 more hours if you still must cook and clean for others. You become hypersensitive to odors, incredibly nuanced fragrances. I find an almost automatic meditative, peaceful perception of the world. My brain feels calm, after the initial rebellion of the body. Food always remains a choice. Exercising choice makes a chooser stronger.

Three things vaporized cannabis or microdosing magic mushrooms before bed.. But the most recommended is a good workout just before bed. Working out before bed may not be for everyone so you may have to go lighter at first. Whatever you do don't get too stressed before bed. Baths late I don't recommend but early very warm baths with Epsom salt and borax should really relax you even for bedtime many hours later. A cold shower before bed may be helpful. I have mixed results with that. No stimulants like black coffee or tea unless herbal tea. I like dry fasting. Start out slow no need to rush. It gets easier as you get more experience. Don't throw in the towel. So worth it.

Thank you, I have got it covered. I have been fasting regularly for years (both intermittent (every day) and prolonged fasts (every 3 months)), even before intermittent fasting was a thing. I do not think I am the demographic you are looking for (a 41 year-old muscular and fit male). People who need you the most are people with prediabetes (with metabolic syndrome). The problem is that these people will probably not find your video because UA-cam does not know they should be interested in fasting. Finding the right people who need your help is further complicated by the stance that common doctors have to fasting - "It's bad for you, your metabolism will slow down, you will not lose weight, bla, bla,...".

Thank you for sharing more details of your fasting experience.
From a medical viewpoint, fasting makes sense for treating various metabolic diseases such as hyperlipidemia(excess fat in the blood), diabetes mellitus type 2 or metabolic syndrome. It is also indicated for obesity, in particular for patients who want to change their lifestyle permanently. Fasting has also been proven to have a beneficial effect on chronic inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or joint disorders like osteoarthritis. Irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, fibromyalgia syndrome and many other diseases can also be influenced by fasting.

    • @jiriwiesner

Fasting cured my stomach inflammation that I had before I adopted a healthy lifestyle. It took roughly 3 5-day water-only fasts spaced 1 month apart for my stomach to stop hurting when it was empty. Also, I suffer from chronic mental stress. Fasting helps in that regard as well. After finishing my recent fast, I feel less stressed out as if different synapses got activated in my brain. I will actively try to stay this way for as long as I can. So, yes, fasting is almost miraculous in its effects.

The loss of muscle and protein during fasting is a concern shared by most of our patients. Fasting researchers have not debunked these concerns - until now. Our latest study, published in October 2021, shows that muscles are probably less affected than long feared, and that muscles regenerate after fasting in the same way as other organ tissues. No decrease in muscle performance was observed; on the contrary, the performance of the muscles of the lower extremities improved significantly after fasting, while that of the other muscles was not affected. Watch our video here for the scientific explanation with the link to the study here: ua-cam.com/video/873gQ33G-6U/v-deo.html

O.K., I finally did figure out your daily IF schedule, Katharina (was necessary for me to stop the video & freeze your fasting/feeding scale.)
if I have this right, it looks like your last meal finishes by
    6:00 p.m. , 1600 hours (?), and you fast for 18 hours, then eat breakfast at 10:00?
This is exactly the schedule I have been aspiring to, but somehow always seem to miss!
I do try - maybe not hard enough - I can sometimes hit the mark for a day or so, but then my eating schedule seems to gradually devolve into a later & later breakfast - then later & later dinners. So that, at times, I'm eating 'breakfast' around 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and then finishing dinner as late as 19:00.
I'm just not a consistent or disciplined person. And if I 'listened to my body' about when to eat, my feeding/fasting window would be even more erratic, unfortunately. ;(

@@jacquietarr7280 not sure what context your questions apply to.
      You ask..."what is this?"
What is WHAT?...what are you referring to?...her intermitant fasting schedule, for which she posted a scale?...or something else?
Basically she's talking about doing a daily intermittent fast.
Per the scale she posted, It looks to me like she finishes her last meal (dinner) around 6pm. Then no food (but possibly water, broth, or possibly diluted juice (she doesn't say) until she resumes eating the next morning.
It looks like she eats her 1st meal the following day around 10:00 a.m. - then rinse&repeat - the last meal of that day is 6:00p.m.
      This would be considered a
16 hour daily fast, ('intermittant fast') followed by an 8 hour 'feeding window') - that is...she eats between the hours of 10a.m. and 6.p.m. (and fasts the rest of the evening & overnight, then resumes eating at 10a.m. the following day.
She also spoke about taking longer fasts of about 12 days
(I think?), once a year. Plus shorter fasts of around 2-3 days (I think) if she feels her immune system is low, or feels like she may be getting the flu, or a cold.
I think that - especially for the longer fasts - they do consume liquids in the form of herbal teas, broth, a tiny bit of honey.
I thought I saw a separate video concerning the liquids they consume during the longer fasts. (Or possibly what I saw was a link to click on to see the types of liquids, etc. To consume during a longer fast.)
You can key in data you are searching for in the UA-cam search engine, in order to search for more
      Buchinger/Wilhelmi videos on fasting.
      Hope this helps.

We do not recommend only dry or water fasting, since it is very stressful for the body.
According to the fasting method of our founder Dr. Otto Buchinger, you can also take in teas, juices and soups, besides water. Our scientific studies show that it boosts your energy and does not break fast. Watch our video for the explanation here: ua-cam.com/video/R6g6j66XXC0/v-deo.html

The Buchinger Wilhelmi programme is built around the fasting method developed by the clinic’s founder Dr. Otto Buchinger (1878 - 1966). It is designed to help you regain and preserve your quality of life, functional capacity and inner harmony. Besides unlimited amounts of mineral water, guests who are fasting at our clinics are offered herbal teas, freshly made vegetable consommés and freshly pressed fruit juices - naturally all organic. Fasting begins with a light vegetarian meal on the day you arrive followed by a digestive rest day. After you have completed the fast, you gradually build up your nutrition again over a period of four days - an intense and pleasurable experience and one which is vital for the success of your stay in the long term.
