It is difficult. I have ME/CFS. I developed it after contracting mono in my late 30s. I was also diagnosed w Ehlers Danlos. It's life changing. I was married with small children when I aquired ME CFS. I had to have my husband help me a lot more with our kids. Ultimately our marriage didn't make it. I was no longer the energetic, active woman he married. He did stay for several more years after I got sick but it was wearing on him. My kids are grown now. I see them often and they are great. I don't intend on remarrying though. I've accepted my limitations and am at peace and pretty happy. These illnesses do change your life and you start to appreciate simple things.
