I recently moved to Saskatoon from Ontario after retiring. Haven't fished in years but am going to try to get back into it. I have never caught fish like you do out here. I appreciate this video as it gives me some place to start.
You've come to the right place! I'm not too too familiar with the Saskatoon area but I know there's fish in the bays and coulee on Lake Diefenbaker in the spring. Both rainbow trout and burbot world record came from Diefenbaker.
Looking forward to slamming some pike at Lake Diefenbaker!

In holland ur not allowed to fish for walleye untill the last saturday of june... I catch some very big fish though.. like 35-37 inch fish if im lucky.. But only on some very hard to get spots.. al the bigger spots are so well known now.. its like 50 boats/guides everywhere fishing livescope.. id rather fish smaller lakes where no big boats can go. I also got a little railroad bridge where u can only fish from boat.. thats like guaranteed 10 fish on the float in a couple of hours.. mostly in the spring.. there is a little curent there and some shade.. walleye/zander like these spots most of the time. Also a lot of people fish the banks in the spring.. fish the spots where the sun shines on most (esp late in the day).. thats a solid tip, also for pike fishing.. pike tend to set up more on the warmer bank to digest their food.
That's a great tip! The water gets the most sun time is the warmest and walleye will be there. I wish we have walleye growing up to 37 inches. Jealous of your Zander fishery!
