SNIPING CRAPPIES in the Fall! What do I use?! (Vertical Jigging)

- Went out on a beautiful day in the middle of October, on a lake in the Brainerd Lakes Area! The water temp was in the low 50’s. I used plastic and jig, fatheads, crappie minnows, and sniped crappies using my Livescope in down view. Slowly trolled along trying to stay with any schools I found. It seemed like the more aggressively that I jigged, the more enticed the fish would be to bite. Definitely caught enough for a meal, but didn’t keep any. I try to disperse what I keep throughout the year and try not to deplete any spot that I find while fishing. With the electronics we have nowadays, it is easier to find fish, I feel we need to be conscientious of what and how many we keep so that we don’t destroy our valuable resources.

Thanks for the compliment, was definitely a good time. Sad day when it’s time to put the boat away for the Winter, but first ice is on the horizon 🙌🏼
@@JMonOutdoors man we just about to get started for the winter lol. less people on the water here usually equal better fishing results for us.
@@351cleveland8 haha I like that! Well it’s been in 20s today and northern MN just got 8-12 inches of snow. So, it’s coming! Where you from?
got up to 81 today in south carolina. Thursday morning suppose to be 31. probably gonna stun the fish but they will bounce back.
