The thing I love about Miami boat ramps is all the kind and courteous boaters who will always grab a line from an incoming vessel to help them dock. Lmao. I don't think I have ever seen it once.😂🤣
It's today's society. Most have no clue that anyone needs or could use some help for 11 seconds. The other thing is most younger people claim they are social butterflies, have a ton of friends, but have no idea how to talk to someone they have never met or aren't at a party with...
0:21 I have been to many, many marinas over the years and NEVER saw people NOT offer to help. Sometimes the help wasn't much real help but the thought was always there. Apparently the opposite is the case in Florida where no one helps, no matter what is happening.
One of the things that makes Seattle special is that every time I’ve seen someone come to the dock, at least one person comes down to grab a line whether the incoming boat needs it or not. Even noobs do it. I must confess that even I do it, as jaded and salty as I am. Must be some sort of weakness in the Seattle boating community. There are some signs of strength, however. Some people won’t throw the line no matter how obvious you make it that you just came down to catch a line.
@@signoresantinoburnett1169 Thanks! I'm not a boater, but this channel provides tons of entertainment. I think one other boat had 1 pole (later in the video).
02:13 I always tell my daughter to IMMEDIATLY "Make the line fast/secure", then I can put boat in gear to bring it along side of dock (with fenders out of course).
Hey @MiamiBoatRamps, I need your support. I've been binging your channel lately and am getting headaches from my head shaking back and forth so much. :) Please send Tylenol! I hope your content-makers watch your channel and at least try to learn from their mistakes. I'm betting they don't. Good news for you - there will be content for years to come! :) Thanks for sharing your videos!
of course if dad tried acting a bit more captainly - ''you grab that rope, you grab that one, and as soon as we get close enough jump on the pier and wrap it around a bollard or cleat'' - then things might go a bit smoother. this applies to all boats.
The guy with the two daughters didn't need to tell them that. This obviously ain't their first rodeo. I grew up on a river and we always put the good boat on the downstream side of the dock so it wouldn't rub. I don't even remember learning how to dock that way. I bet those two girls have already learned.
Why do people let their kids play on boat ramp or not put kid away from docking side. With the stupid stuff you see people do, get your kids out of the way.
This is called more money than brains. How to hell do you leave your engine on. That’s why you should always put your engines up and turn them off. Even if you don’t have to put them up without hitting.
You need to do your homework before attempting any maneuver trailering a boat . Anything you can learn to prepare you , your trailer , ropes straps etc…. Is best done as to facilitate your experience !

NOT! lol

@@paulcharles8921 Sometimes the "help" does more harm than good. I dont want help unless I ask for it.
i thought the same thing. Not one person offered to grag a line. Sad state of humanity
I needed to see the one at 5:35. That's a guy who probably grew up in boats and his kids are learning the same way.
If you get the stern line around a cleat on the dock just put it in forward and the bow will swing right into the dock. Easy peasy.
Most of these people don't think much past aiming the nose at the dock.
Everyone doesn't have a soft throttle like that. One of my boats are very tight so I can't chance doing that with that one.
That’s helpful for idiots
Perfect response to a forgotten motor running
I like how nobody on the dock even asks if they can help, much less actually help.
I love my local ramp because no one needs help. No one even takes longer than 1 minute to launch or load
I wouldn't help anyone. Not after Covid. People can go eff themselves after that. They are helpless anyway.

Please don't ever try to compare Washington to Florida we don't have a bunch of namby pambies down here
5:50, that guy told his daughters, "you ever want to take the boat out. You better learn how to dock it."
What are those two vertical post thingies on either side of the motor at 2:02? Never saw those before.
Power pole anchors.
Those power poles are good on flat boats in the shallows. The pole goes down into the sand and acts as an anchor. Expensive, but they are useful.

@@61rampy65 Cheers. One or two will do the trick.
Are fenders illegal in Florida?
I'm pretty sure I've seen that first boat on this channel before lol

Whats that rattling noise when he shifts from forward to reverse??
that's the engine rattle
Nothing like enjoying a 12 rack at the boat ramp, watching latinas
Those Yahama 4 strokes are really quiet....
That's a sign of no maintenance on the engine. Tight lines.
Bronco may be narrating Miami boat ramps but you can't take the Chesapeake out of him. ;)
You must really like the way you sound !

Thank goodness the chatter was minimal, I think the water patrol could use some exercise 😂
Not many mirrors where some of them live.
How drunk do you have to be to forget to turn off your motors?
Just drunk enough to then climb into your personal vehicle and drive it home.
Someone needs to start a business selling fenders at the boat ramp.
I would say that’s an overkill with that engine. lol
He should have rigged it with a circle hook.
I think that was Florida Fishing Couple
At least one knows how to dock.
I can't believe that no one ever lends a hand..
Who in hell would even go out on a boat that has a skipper who can't even successfully dock beside a jetty? Some real nutters out there.

Why does a day out enjoying a days boating always involve drinking too much?

The amount of people that have no idea WTF they're doing is astounding.

Why are you blurring their faces
In the Netherlands it is normal to take a mooringline and help the yachtman to moore. I only see egoïst people on the dock.

I'm always amazed how lazy and entitled most of these passengers are
Did boat fenders become extinct or what?
I’ve noticed that the smaller the boat, the larger the women.
Less COMMENTARY could make video enjoyable…BUT🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
Not that interesting….
