With this and my legs I’m getting the sense that I may need to glide my whole body!
I am dumbfounded by the fact that this channel has so few subscribers. The content here is amazingly well done and incredibly informational. SO HAPPY I found it. Count me as a new and very satisfied subscriber! Will do my best to share your videos and get you closer to the 1M+ number you deserve.
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
It's because watching this requires viewers to get off the sofa and that's a big no-no with most people.
She's gained like 40k subscribers the last month or so though, so big W there.
Pretty sure you could watch it and try it out when you next get up 😂
@@Livinleggings with tiktok level of attention span, highly unlikely
As a registered physiotherapist (physical therapist) I like the way you teach. I would recommend putting your head in neutral (or even flexed towards the side doing the movement) when your arm is doing the "stretching" movement, and when returning the arm to neutral, flexing the head away from the arm. This will create a true glide. What you are describing is a tensioner, which also helps for neural mobility, but can irritate a sensitive nerve.
Didn't notice that error until I tried performing the radial nerve exercise. She is tensioning the nerve then as she adds the simultaneous neck/ wrist movement, she is actually tensioning the nerve further.
Is the neutral head position for both stretches?
Am I wrong or doesn't she talk of mildly *stretching* mentioned 2 nerves e.g. around 1:27?
Restarting my workout journey after years of dealing with pain and injuries. My left shoulder has been a problem for years as a result of hitching and unhitching trailers for work. These movements gave me instant improved mobility in my shoulder for the first time in 7 years! THANK YOU! ❤
I came across this video, and am amazed!!! I was probably 11 or 12 when I noticed that I could not put my hands straight up over my head. When I'm lying down, I cant put them straight up, and lay my hands on the floor either. I just did this exercise...10 on each side for each movement, and WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! I want to cry! I was not able to lift them both up all the way, but both improved, and the right SIGNIFICANTLY improved. I was able to lift it more than I have in 30 years! Thank you, thank you so much for this video!!!
Therapy begins at 02:45 Thanks for sharing this video. Cheers.
omg you are the answer to my prayers! I've been doing yoga since before you were born, and have never gained much, if any, mobility in my super tight shoulders. These nerve glides are exactly what I needed. My shoulders are already feeling so nice and loose and lovely. Many many thanks, I will be doing a few of your videos every day!
AMAZING, AMAZING!! Thanks for posting this! Perfect companion to the one for hamstrings. I have good shoulder mobility, but this one makes it even better! Can't wait for more videos targeting other areas like lower back, hip flexors, hips, etc. Thanks a million!!!
It is great to see that neck-tilt motion in conjuction with other stretches. I have been doing this for awhile now after noticing that very few workouts include any attention to the neck whatsoever. Keep up your high-quality content.
Thanks to Film Booth (hubby) I’m here getting more flexible. Hey Liz! Congrats on going in on your channel!
Finding your channel is a godsend. Such clear instructions, amazing work
Just found this channel and I can’t wait to dive into your content. I’ve been trying to become more flexible as I work a sedentary job and stopped working out. I became stiff, hips are tight, and just out of wack everywhere. I hope this helps me begin my journey to better health, the right way.
Love the simplicity and effectiveness of your work.
These are amazing. Keep them coming. I need it for my whole body
This was amazing, I have had shoulder issues for sooo long, this simple exercise has helped ease the tightness so much. Thank you, you are a god send 🙂
This just gave me back years of lost mobility! Thank you so much!
It's so much fun and pleasure to watch your videos. Thx a million.
Edit: I watched the video again and I had tears of joy in my eyes just because of your positivity and your smile. THANK YOU.
Wonderful!!!
I’ve been practicing yoga for 50 years and NOT one person (not even experienced teachers) have ever talked about or taught about the nerves - this is excellent information
I fractured my wrist and radius in an accident in February. I miss my yoga practice and was feeling a bit disheartened today, but finding your channel has lifted my spirits. I can't thank you enough for this valuable information. Although I'm still in a splint, I am feeling more confident and inspired having watched several of your videos now. Bless your heart.
I just found your channel and decided to start doing yoga again. I've been really depressed for a few years and I felt so disconnected from my body. However, I feel that I must start doing stretches again because I have headache, backache and lots of other aches. So I'm getting the mat out of the cupboard for the first time in 4 years!
This is amazing, it worked for me first time, massive improvement!!!! Thank you so so much for making these videos!!!
Thank you for explained unusual needy things!!
Great, concise, effective tutorial, thank you! I'll keep returning to this to work on a shoulder issue. Appreciate your sharing your expertise online. I'm a happy subscriber!
This one is so great! I love any of the nerve glide type videos you do, they work so well for me! Thank you!!
I could totally see AND feel a difference!! Thank you for sharing!
I love your videos. I've started yoga last year and practicing a lot (15+ hours per week of classes) and your videos help me. I've seen your video about handstand today as well, it was helpful, I'll practice your advices.
I’m so very grateful this showed up in my feed. I have a neck/shoulder injury and the nerve pain is getting worse. My Dr has given me another pain pill rather than find out the reason for the increased pain. I can’t wait to try this and check out your other videos. Thank You so very much!
Thank you. I tried these exercises and recorded the before and after. It did work for me.
I really appreciate your channel. I have several of your vids bookmarked and work through them. Thanks for the work you do.
This is so fun, thank you!! I forgot to record myself but I saw a big difference in my shadows and of course the arm stretch itself. I'm super unflexible so I'll need to carefully work on everything. Thanks again! 😊
I love these glides you've been showing, they work great. TY!
She is AMAZING!!! So glad the algorithm let me to her!
This is really great info...I just tried this with one arm even while sitting down and noticed an immediate difference in the overhead range. Thank you!
Definitely needed that, thank you!
Thank you for sharing 🙏
Really enjoy your videos, you have a so many great tips & are gifted with a authentic + natural teaching style
Wow I'm a recent subscriber after watching a video in my feed. I do lots of weights as I am a masters athletics competitor (throwing) and flexibility is a capacity that I would love but constantly neglect. I've just tried these neural glides and it worked amazingly well thanks Livinleggings you're a legend! I'm also sold on your easy to follow and informative why and how to instruction!
The 'computer says no' bit got me 😂
I feel like I'm always struggling with reaching my arms overhead, so I'm definitely trying this! I love how you make your content so engaging and clear!
Yes this site is a you tube gem!
Awesome practice! Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!
Shocking...... Tried this once and the improvement in my shoulder mobility is really noticeable!!!! About 15 years ago I had bilateral frozen shoulders and suffered for 2+ years each side from dreadful pain and locked shoulders. Had an operation to release one that didn't work. I've never been able to lift my arms above my head since.... But following your tuition I suddenly have about another 20° of flexibility. Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely Love this Channel, Thanks for amazing content, I'm so glad I found you. Just after a few minutes of this stretching i can really feel and see a difference!!
Thank you for this video!! It has improved my mobility for holding weights overhead when squating. Very Happy that I found this video and Channel
This was incredible! For years, I've had a sore, lumpy trigger point in my left armpit. It sat directly on a muscle, but I don't the name of it. No amount of pressing or rubbing on that hard, knotty trigger point would make it release, but after doing this nerve glide, the lumpy, tender feeling went away completely! Thank you!
These are the best arm mobility exercises I have tried by far. Thank you for the guidance ❤
This helped relieve shoulder pain I had experienced for weeks. I feel a warm sensation. I think it will help me sleep without pain. I’ve done a lot of stretching and have never been taught nerve glide. Thank you so much!!
Excellent! Thank you for sharing this. Tremendously helpful.
i LOVE that you keep your videos so short and on point!!! ❤ i’m a loyal sub 🎉
The program that gets you the shoulder mobility results 👉🏼 livinleggings.yoga/teaching/working-on-wheel/
I just did this exactly as you explained and I gained at least 2" in mobility just now. I suffered from bilateral rotator cuff tears and within the last year finally, mostly recovered. I'm still doing at home PT, but your videos have helped me improve mobility much more quickly than the 15 sessions of PT I did at facilities (no offense to PTs). I think there's something missing from PT that doesn't take nerves into consideration. Thank you for this video!
Amazing and spot on. This whole channel. Will be my main source for the next while to train and improve. Thanks so much!
Love these videos! Thanks
Had Jammed shoulders for years now much more mobile after just a few minutes of these exercises, amazing!
Thanks.
oh my god, this helped so much i am completely blown away! this is probably the first time in my life that a "do this for instant results" youtube video actually held it's promise haha
Will definitely be following this channel now
I have been put through physical therapy for shoulder pain. Each time I haven't progressed any in my recovery, so the doctors have continued to just prescribe injections to deal with it. I have felt more relief in one exercise session today then I have felt in years of physical therapy, steroid injections, and Lidocaine injections in both shoulders. I can't begin to say thank you for all the things that I have learned from your channel!
loving this channel 💕
omg this really works! thank you so much!!
This just fixed my arm pain! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! Very informative and really helpful for me!
Thanks to your wonderful exercises, so simple but so effective, I was able to release the tension I haven't been able to get rid of for many years. Thank you so much.
so informational...I need this practically all over...thank you, you're awesome.
Found your channel purely by accident, and yet I find it so applicable that I'm really glad I did... thank you for your advice 🙏 xx
Me too
Thank you so much. Ive been jabbing all sorts of trigger point tools into my traps all weekend. What a relief!!
Beautifully presented video with substance. Thank you for clear manner and knowledge. 👍
Gliding looks interesting. Thank you!!
Thanks a lot!!
Great tip ! Thanks:)
I've come into this channel, watched a pair of videos and I already love it ! Subscibed :)
I really appreciate how efficient and straightforward your videos are. Xo heather Thrills
Thank you. I noticed some improvement with just doing that while watching the video. This will be one of my regular movements now. 🙂
Brilliant video! 😊❤️
Top quality information! I got a pinched nerve in my left elbow 2 weeks ago and it restricted the mobility of my arm (and it was the worst pain / sensation I ever felt) I never knew the importance of nerves or "training and flossing" nerves till I got this injury, which was the most bizarre thing! I was sitting and leaning on my elbow When I felt a sudden sharp shooting pain there! Just like that! Injured while sitting! I'm new to the channel and came to this video after the mobility video and was surprised that it talked about a thing I never heard of till I got my injury! Excellent content!
Great content as usual Liv! Nice "Little Britain" reference. cheers
You are amazing person.THANKS.
This totally worked! I increased my shoulder flexion range about 4-5 inches higher after just one round of this! It didn't give me all my range back because I also just simply have a tight shoulder capsule both anterior and posterior, but I have stretches for that as well.
Amazing...worked from first try.... Just found this channel...Thank you
Thank you so much for this video. I have never heard of nerve tension so far. But I have thought give it a try because I have been struggling for a long time with my limited shoulder mobility. I‘ve done the exercises the second time now and I‘m quite impressed on how more comfortable it felt when lying on the floor and trying to lay down the hands on the floor above my head. These exercises are definitely a new part of my existing mobility exercises from now on.
Awesome ! I will try this .
You are informative, clear, articulate and drop dead gorgeous. Almost unfair really 😂. Thanks for helping me. I appreciate it very much.
I am speechless that was all I need, thank you so much. That will help me to be full potential athlet of me for sure
That was amazing 😮
I didn't know that and will give it a try, thank you.
Amazing! This one had wayy more results for me than the hamstring nerv glide video! Now.. Is there a nerv glide for ankle (dorsiflexion) mobility as well? 🧐 Keep up the amazing work! 💪
I love your analogies
Came across your channel accidentally, and subscribed for the great content! Thank you for these wonderful and encouraging tips! Your sunny personality really shines through and makes your videos very approachable. Awesome! I noticed a big difference after doing these excercises, especially on my left arm, which had clearly much more nerve tension! Had to take it super easy on that one. How often would you recommend doing these nerve glides? Every time when doing a strecthing or yoga workout?
Thanks you !
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! This is a game changer!!! I did the exercise and could not believe how much more free I feel in my shoulders. Is there some magic like that also for hips and knees? Thank you so much! ❤
This was so cool. I could feel it.
The first one was surprising. I felt a sudden warm feeling in my nerves even before fully reaching the correct position, so I stopped. I got a bit scared actually as I haven't felt like that before... I went carefully forwards with the step, but it was all good and it felt like a usual stretch. I believe it did something, but I am too lazy to record myself doing these stretches. Thanks anyways!
Just found your videos and love them! Can you do one for hip mobility
This has really helped me, Liv. I‘ve been in so much pain. I just didn’t know what to do for nerve pain. And the general relaxation advice is no use when you have to use the affected area to work. I’m looking forward to adding in more of your exercises to my daily routine. Thank you!
I'm just discovering your channel. Thank you for the knowledge!
Wow my right arm has been slowly healing for about 3 months. Couldn't lift it up and out to the side without some discomfort.
Carefully did the first two exercises for a few minutes after which I could lift my right arm up and out with virtually no discomfort at all. Will keep practising these. Thank you
Love it :) Extremely helpful :)
Getting my arm near vertical has always felt a weak point for me and these movements really helped me get my arm further vertical whereas muscular stretches be it deltoid or latissimus dorsi have not.
I did one arm completely first then re-tested for laughs, the imbalance til I did the other arm was kind of funny 🤣
Will be including in my warm up for workouts that include shoulders. Thank you for the clear, concise guidance and wish your channel much success (seems like its on the up and up :) ). +sub
I just done this half assed with right arm and got to before my ear after the exercise i went behind my ear eaaaaasy ty 🙏
I have a condition that lets my bones basically overgrow. It’s quite annoying, because it hinders my mobility as a whole and can be quite painful, if these bone structures start pressing against my muscles and/or nerves. That’s exactly what happened in my left shoulder along those exact two nerves you mentioned. So I had surgery a month ago, to remove parts of the bone on the inside of my arm and my shoulder. It’s the first time in my life that I can actually anatomically move my shoulder in full range, so my goal for next year is to get a better mobility and be more flexible in that area. This video and many others of yours are quite helpful, so thank you very much!
wow, what a difference!
thank you
