    As a registered physiotherapist (physical therapist) I like the way you teach. I would recommend putting your head in neutral (or even flexed towards the side doing the movement) when your arm is doing the "stretching" movement, and when returning the arm to neutral, flexing the head away from the arm. This will create a true glide. What you are describing is a tensioner, which also helps for neural mobility, but can irritate a sensitive nerve.

    • @cliffburton5696
      @cliffburton5696 Рік тому +3

      Didn't notice that error until I tried performing the radial nerve exercise. She is tensioning the nerve then as she adds the simultaneous neck/ wrist movement, she is actually tensioning the nerve further.

    I came across this video, and am amazed!!! I was probably 11 or 12 when I noticed that I could not put my hands straight up over my head. When I'm lying down, I cant put them straight up, and lay my hands on the floor either. I just did this exercise...10 on each side for each movement, and WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! I want to cry! I was not able to lift them both up all the way, but both improved, and the right SIGNIFICANTLY improved. I was able to lift it more than I have in 30 years! Thank you, thank you so much for this video!!!

    omg you are the answer to my prayers! I've been doing yoga since before you were born, and have never gained much, if any, mobility in my super tight shoulders. These nerve glides are exactly what I needed. My shoulders are already feeling so nice and loose and lovely. Many many thanks, I will be doing a few of your videos every day!

    Shocking...... Tried this once and the improvement in my shoulder mobility is really noticeable!!!! About 15 years ago I had bilateral frozen shoulders and suffered for 2+ years each side from dreadful pain and locked shoulders. Had an operation to release one that didn't work. I've never been able to lift my arms above my head since.... But following your tuition I suddenly have about another 20° of flexibility. Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I have been put through physical therapy for shoulder pain. Each time I haven't progressed any in my recovery, so the doctors have continued to just prescribe injections to deal with it. I have felt more relief in one exercise session today then I have felt in years of physical therapy, steroid injections, and Lidocaine injections in both shoulders. I can't begin to say thank you for all the things that I have learned from your channel!

    This was incredible! For years, I've had a sore, lumpy trigger point in my left armpit. It sat directly on a muscle, but I don't the name of it. No amount of pressing or rubbing on that hard, knotty trigger point would make it release, but after doing this nerve glide, the lumpy, tender feeling went away completely! Thank you!

    The first one was surprising. I felt a sudden warm feeling in my nerves even before fully reaching the correct position, so I stopped. I got a bit scared actually as I haven't felt like that before... I went carefully forwards with the step, but it was all good and it felt like a usual stretch. I believe it did something, but I am too lazy to record myself doing these stretches. Thanks anyways!

    Top quality information! I got a pinched nerve in my left elbow 2 weeks ago and it restricted the mobility of my arm (and it was the worst pain / sensation I ever felt) I never knew the importance of nerves or "training and flossing" nerves till I got this injury, which was the most bizarre thing! I was sitting and leaning on my elbow When I felt a sudden sharp shooting pain there! Just like that! Injured while sitting! I'm new to the channel and came to this video after the mobility video and was surprised that it talked about a thing I never heard of till I got my injury! Excellent content!

    I have a condition that lets my bones basically overgrow. It’s quite annoying, because it hinders my mobility as a whole and can be quite painful, if these bone structures start pressing against my muscles and/or nerves. That’s exactly what happened in my left shoulder along those exact two nerves you mentioned. So I had surgery a month ago, to remove parts of the bone on the inside of my arm and my shoulder. It’s the first time in my life that I can actually anatomically move my shoulder in full range, so my goal for next year is to get a better mobility and be more flexible in that area. This video and many others of yours are quite helpful, so thank you very much!

      do you mean you struggle with overhead mobility? That can be a number of things, it's quite a dense topic, but I'd first look at your thoracic mobility (hows your thoracic extension? Think the opposite bend to a crunch, like in cobra pose) and your external rotation of your shoulder. Your scapula need to externally rotate to allow your arm to raise above shoulder level, however you probably know our lifestyles often lead to rounded shoulders so we lack this rotation and extension. I cannot recommend exercising rotator cuff muscles highly enough, it can be a game-changer.
      I also recently discovered I just had a super tight lat on my left side, which is going to limit your arm raising too. Good luck with it!

      @@nosliwm the Cuban Press is a decent one! Bent forward about 30-45 degrees is a fave variation of mine. Super slow tempo, low weight, just a kilo or light band at first. Add pauses/holds if you like, and really focus on the contraction to develop mind-muscle connection 👌 before I press the arms straight, I like to just hold that bent arm external rotation for a 4 count to really own the rotation, and rotate the hand behind the elbow if I can, full range of motion. Protract shoulders at the top. Enjoy brother

    I love your videos. I've started yoga last year and practicing a lot (15+ hours per week of classes) and your videos help me. I've seen your video about handstand today as well, it was helpful, I'll practice your advices.

    The way you speak, and the things you say. 💚
    You are such a blessing! May the lives of more and more and more people be enriched by what you have to offer 🙏
    I, for sure, am grateful. Hugely grateful.

    Amazing! This one had wayy more results for me than the hamstring nerv glide video! Now.. Is there a nerv glide for ankle (dorsiflexion) mobility as well? 🧐 Keep up the amazing work! 💪
