One of my favorite bands of the past 10 yrs. So underrated and almost never spoken of. Im so happy i decided to see if they did one of these. Creep on creepin on Timber Timbre 🙌🏼.
It seems like he takes a love song concept, throws it out the window, walks out, picks it up to wipe the dust off, kicks it in the face, then rolls a cigarette out of it, smokes it and rubs the ashes on his forehead. Great combo of tasteful music and disturbing lyrics, with a slight psycho-ish vibe :D
Hands down one of the best bands I've seen live. So maybe I was snorting K in crowd at my favourite local pub and that had something to do with it. But, even the girl with a three foot pony tail constantly waving in my face couldn't ruin my vibes that night.
I can’t believe it’s been almost ten years but this band played my my 4000sq loft, to over 100 of my friend’s it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place, truly spiritual.
Nothing 'deceptive' about his voice at all. It's just good old rich, mellow tone, put to work outside of its old cliché . And such poise. Great new sound.
First time I heard this band was perusing at a bookstore in Ulm, Germany. I didn’t know how to ask the clerk what song was playing. Luckily I found the record sleeve sitting near the turntable. Absolutely mystical experience.

Beautiful music! Discovered their music through Chinese social media while they are located at my doorstep! Unbelievable. Can't wait to see their live performance!
uuuuhh i'm been searching for bands like timber timbre!! i've just searched tindersticks and absolutly loved it!! do you know any more bands in the same vein as these two??? thaaanks and much love from Brazil
@@twinpumpkin hm...there are several, each with a twist? I would say Purple Mountains, The National, Nick cave, Tom waits, Pulp ... just on the top of my head
I grew up in the Midwest and now have lived in the desert a good two decades. My daughter was born there. It was the only place for it. Floor meets nose.
" It's the kind of music you'd expect to hear in a David Lynch movie "...exactly what I think...here his vocals are "dry" not like the most of his vocals with tape echo like though... pls listen to the studio rec. of Hot Dreams and you'll hear...a dream (; THX NPR from France!
Weird. I can't decide, how much i like these guys. I do enjoy the sound... it's SO mellow and slow. It's very calming. Yet when i look at this somber group of dudes, with the main guy inexplicably resembling a calm, cold, methodical killer (for some reason... someone asked what it was that people thought seemed creepy about him. It's something about his steady eyes, his calm demeanor while delivering un-calm lines. It's not that he's going bald!)... i have to ask myself, "Is this what i need, more creepy, unsmiling men, singing about stalking women?" Well, maybe if they're Canadian. We'll see.
Run From Me. Sound like Elvis swallowed Johnny Cash and got hit round the head by Nick Cave. What an amazing band and voice. Stands out so much these days.
If you were a member of this band, wouldn't you have an irresistible urge to break into a chorus of "Love Me Do" or the like after the audience files out of the hall?
As always I find your information enriching and full of good information. Your videos is really needed. Besides yourself and a relatively small group of others, its not easy to find others who can be transparent. You give the bones of it all and that makes your information priceless. Most online teachers are not brave enough to discuss this content as raw and real as you have done.
one of the greatest and most underrated bands these days imo...
Timber Timbre is in a class all their own. So much variety in their sound.
Im just glad to have came across them.
Couldn’t agree more!
Timber Timbre is a gem. Dude's voice is one of a kind. What a great sound they have.
Tyler Kirk. Thank you for being you. Your original and cinematic style is so needed and so necessary. Thank you for existing.

His voice. ughhhhhh I can't describe how much I love it.
Me too 😌
You already did it.
He has such control. For some reason, I like the calmness and solemness.
Im so in love with what this guy does... Who knew? Canada has more than maple syrup... Soorrry.
One of my favorite bands of the past 10 yrs. So underrated and almost never spoken of. Im so happy i decided to see if they did one of these. Creep on creepin on Timber Timbre 🙌🏼.
His voice and melodies and lyrics do things to me.
Find and arrest sax man who didn’t show for Hot Dreams.
The bastarding sheit.
Colin Stetson was probably too busy playing his sax in some kind of abandoned tunnel
god i love this guys style. he owns his creepy appearance like no other
creep on creeping' on! (one of his album names)
What's so creepy about him? He's balding?
Nick cave has entered the chat
@@misharialeisa6408lol

Brilliant
+Jay Tony dude you should run a music blog or something. seriously
a fair few psycho-ish vibes i'd say lol

Creep rock

Sober experience here, truly one of the best bands I’ve seen live. It’s an experience I recommend to everyone
I can’t believe it’s been almost ten years but this band played my my 4000sq loft, to over 100 of my friend’s it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place, truly spiritual.
What a GEM of a group.
Literally the best band active right now. Not exaggerating. And they're getting better every day.
God these guys know what they're doing.
Exactly what I said! Professionality and maximum concentration.
Absolutely
Nothing 'deceptive' about his voice at all. It's just good old rich, mellow tone, put to work outside of its old cliché . And such poise. Great new sound.
He uses a lot of slapback/echo on his vocals in a lot of their recordings to great effect too....accentuates the darkness and creepiness
Beautifully put
i wish they could have played the whole album. They sound so good.
Man the sound... Always On Point with this band!
How did I miss this? Feeling pretty lucky that I just found it though. Thanks.
I swear the best music in the world is made in Canada!
I'm in love with Taylor Kirk's song writing abilities. I wish he was my next door neighbor.
i'm sure he'd have hot dreams of you.
First time I heard this band was perusing at a bookstore in Ulm, Germany. I didn’t know how to ask the clerk what song was playing. Luckily I found the record sleeve sitting near the turntable.

He's rocking the Benjamin Franklin skullet!
Andrew Clock totally...hes such a sexy bald man!
Run from Me is a such a beautiful song. Incredible.
The sound is so rich and warm and haunting and sexy and intimate. Like how the f did they do that. Hot dreams is a masterpiece
Man, Hot Dreams is marvelous
Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Magnífico! Come to Portugal please :) everything is just right about Timber Timbre.
The best tiny desk there ever was!
One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live
I like the soft approach on grand canyon and run from me, but not in hot dreams as much. Good stuff I thought.
Well,I just found a go-to recording for when I'm in a mood for something super laid-back.
such a huge fan of these fellas.
Love Y’all so much! Such a hauntingly, unique, beautiful sound!

I just realized Taylor Kirk looks just like Christian Bale's character in American Hustle
+sicemdawgs47 yes ! Just add ray bans !
OMG this is so true!
Doesn’t look law abiding.
Absolutely phenomenal
this is healing my soul..
super glad that taylor Kirk looks like how i pictured him
I love his voice..
These guys optimise the difference between musical skill and "showing off". Restraint can make for much more wonderful music.
So beautiful
Less is SOOOO much more. TImber Timbre is living proof of that.
Oh God he makes my stomach hurt. In a good way. Amazing.
Great! Love Your Set.
Perfect.
tout en retenu. très fort.
seriously....what a great band
Honey i shrunk the water bottles.
Maybe it's not bottles that are small but Timber Timbre who are giant?
The water bottles are the average size,It's just all of us Canadians have big hands,It helps with playing hockey ...

The drummer just changed his shirt and then did Andy Shauf's Tiny Desk.
Watch at .75 speed. beautiful and creepy like the studio recordings.
youre watching the greatest drummer ever
He's good, but I'm not seeing anything super stand-out here. Any good example of extra cool drumming by him?

I don't find this unsettling. I quite like it. The lyrics are Ironic.

Shout out to Wolf Parade for the line, "Cloud shadow on the mountain."
Awesome!!!

Very, very nice :))))))))))))
I switched from Tindersticks to Timber Timbre as most beloved band.
I'd pay anything to see these guys live again! This video doesn't get the true vibe of their live show!
If you were a member of this band, wouldn't you have an irresistible urge to break into a chorus of "Love Me Do" or the like after the audience files out of the hall?
This dude looks exactly like how his voice sounds.
amazing
I feel like they were written by Stephen King. I love them so much!
