Loved the video I do a lot of trout fishing in central and Eastern Ontario. Would live to know where you are fishing in Manitoba. I intend to travel more next year for Lakers.
A-SAP... get the line wet and stop yapping. " Green " lures today... works for me... its all about presentations and " GREEN" is master color. I just looked at what i have ahead of me as in videos to catch up on. 8 years of video Clayton. i might start over from first video and see how times you use " GREEN" vs "RED" lures... G/R guy
Another great video Clayton. The best part is you do everything by yourself. You are my favorite fishing channel. You should have way more subs than you do.Great job
nice work man! that place looks awesome...i dont know about any one else, but when i know im going fishing (especially like this) in the morning, i cant sleep . late 3 days in a row!? wake up!
It's a great place! I wish I wasn't so late in the morning, sometimes I'm up till 1-2 in the morning dumping footage off cards and charging batteries for the next day. If I was fishing without filming, I might not have even left my shack!! :) Hopefully day 4 I get up early!!
Thank you! Funny you ask this because I just covered this in my last video, but I run 30lb braid (power pro super slick) with a 20Lb floro leader about 6-8 feet in length.
Why don't you put your transducer in it's own hole instead of the hole your fishing in. You don't have to worry about pulling it out of the way everytime you catch a fish that way.
Can't focus on anything else....this has been the longest week ever! Thanks again for sharing another killer vid!
What # test floro leader you running?
I'll second that! Haha
Probs 20
Thanks for watching! Like I said before I hope you guys get into some giants! I have been using 20lb
Thanks Clayton!
Can’t beat a day of constant action that’s for sure man ! Again great vid
Thank you! I for sure was not complaining
Another awesome video. Thanks for taking us along. Nice to have the camera to see how they act.
Thank you! Still one more day to come!

Just do it! (insert nike logo) haha
Great vid as always! That lake is major on my bucket list. So many lakes close to home. Come smash good eater lakers at Whiteswan with me this summer.
Tempting but I still really look forward to getting to my summer guiding job :)
Once again awesome laker vid! Good content man keep it up🤙
Thank you :)
Good action for sure.
The best way I’ve found to remove your transducer is to grab the actual graph and move it aside the transducer will follow. Love the vids man
Thanks for the nice comment :)
Great videos I'm extra pumped cause I'm heading up there the first week in April. Save some fish for me !
I left a LOT of big fish there for sure!!
Hey Clayton do you sell any of your jigs that you tie ? I really like that white and chartruse fly you tied up in part 3
Awesome vids fella , keep rollin
Thank you very much!
Hey Clayton, can you target something besides togue&walleye, salmon or trout? Thx, ps you do a great job,
I won't be doing any salmon through the ice, or for a long time unfortunately, but likely some trout this year :)
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors northeast Canada is loaded with huge bookies, Labrador area
@@randallnadeau1691 That is about 35 hours from me :) Or more! :)
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors oops, I was raised in Northern Maine, lived there over 60 years, fished Canada alot, you would love it
we go fish Athapap and the cranberries for a week every summer! beautiful territory !
It's gorgeous up there!!
going again in a few weeks !!
Love your videos! Can I ask what kind of line and leader (including length) do you recommend?
Thank you! Funny you ask this because I just covered this in my last video, but I run 30lb braid (power pro super slick) with a 20Lb floro leader about 6-8 feet in length.
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors do you put a swivel between a braid and fluorocarbon?
@@FargoNDRoland I tie direct. I recommend uni to uni or FG knot
That b-roll🔥🔥
right? Sometimes I forget I need to add a little of that in!
This is my fave video. How do you like the ion?
The Ion was ok. I am changing to a strike master 40V though. The Ion kicked butt with re-opening old holes though!
Keeping my fingers crossed for an early morning monster on day 4!
Keeping my fingers crossed I could get out early!
Why such a heavy jig? Great Video
Really all I had, a 1oz would be good. I do like a bigger jig to get to the bottom fast. I also wanted a bigger profile to target some bigger fish.
That’s one nice ass truck
I do love my chevy right now!
DAMM!! Sorry Clayton I missed my 3rd time being first!! Awesome video bud!
HAH! you were still close!
Awesome videos. Thnx
Thank you and you are welcome!
Hey Clayton, heading up to Lake Athapap in 2 months. I'd really appreciate any pointers. Thanks!
Fish where the fish are :) Chat with the lodge owner you are staying with, they will help you out for sure :)
Upping the B-roll game!!
Have to start learning!
Clayton Schick Outdoors get that drone up in the air!
Where did u get that map
They have them at the Office at Bakers Narrows
Why haven't you uploaded Day 4 yet... hurry up I'm impatiently waiting haha
hah! love it!
Why don't you put your transducer in it's own hole instead of the hole your fishing in. You don't have to worry about pulling it out of the way everytime you catch a fish that way.
It was pretty tight in the shack already with the camera and 2 other holes... I didn't want to lose anything down the hole :)
