With 4k TV, the graphics are even better.
The images of the old Ps3 games made by Sony are generally very nice.

I like the Game but the Best f1 for me is f1 2013. (the classic mode with 80's and 90's cars just never gets old!)

This game is the reason I still have a PS3 hooked up to my VR3 racing rig. Gets played almost every day. It is absolutely fantastic and I prefer it over any of the other F1 games. Just my opinion of course. Sometimes older is better and the graphics stand the test of time, though it's only 720p. The sense of speed is spectacular and I really like the cars from this era. It also has some very beautiful unlockable classic cars though you can only use them in time trials. A bit more arcade than sim to be honest, but with all of the assists off, it can be very challenging and using a high difficulty setting takes some mastering for sure. Love it! :)
Just ordered this game on Amazon. Cant wait to play it. Hearing it's one of the best F1 games. And for a game from 2006 those graphics are incredible

Why are the graphics so much smoother and detailed than codemasters new f1 Games?

This Is 60 FPS, codemaster 30 fps
This game was so brilliant at the time , winning races was an insane challenge you had to be on the limit , perfect pushing every lap , loved it

This came in my recommended today on Schumacher's 50th, 🙌🙌
When F1 was still fun to watch :
1. Refueling
2. No DRS
3. More classic tracks
4. V8 engines
5. Schumi on the grid
6. Renault & McLaren scoring podiums and wins
7. Honda was actually fast

I remember when this game actually managed to bring a feeling that you're going REALLY fast.
Loved this game so much- the engines sounded amazing and I loved that it had the Toro Rosso V10 sound and Istanbul Park, Nurburgring, Magny Cours, Indianapolis and most importantly the old Imola with chicane on it! :) I can't believe how good it looks well over a decade later!
The Ferrari engine in this game sounds so so good. I drove for Ferrari in game simply because of the engine noise and because I drove for Ferrari I took time to learn their past and so I'm now a Tifosi because of it
Still loving it. This game refuses to get old.

Still my favourite. Studio Liverpool was leagues better than most of the industry. So sad that it didn't work that well for this game for lacking a few features and modes.

Yea, I would give the license back to them😭 The only problem is that only Playstation players could enjoy an F1 game (except the fact that Studio Liverpool broke up)

Miss the old version of the track...
It's more about the speed indicator going to high....it goes to 360 kmph! On most circuits F1 cars in 2006 (and after) have topspeeds between 290 and 310 kmph! Monza is the only exception where you can reach 340+! (if your wing levels are set to low downforce)!
i used to put Micheal Schumacher in last place and put the game in AI mode and watch him go from last race to podium.

and it definitely sounds better than the new f1 games...

To even suggest that 20 screaming V8s are insufficent on their own is utterly absurd.
notice your brake button is broken. it pushes a bit all the time.
dude it is because of physics :D .... if your car is in the back of other car you can get more speed understand :D ... hope it helps :D

Pobudzony dobrym wyścigiem o Grand Prix Włoch obejrzałem sobie historię gier o Formule 1 wydanych na PS i właśnie ta część mnie najbardziej urzekła (zresztą twój film był tam chyba użyty), dlatego musiałem zobaczyć więcej. Z Chrystusem chłopcze.

Because it's basically a F1 06 for PS3 just with better graphics, original TV graphics for HUD, a bit more content, improved commentators and radio engineer speech and better car sounds.
