I noticed that i missed the headunit upgrade but its all good.
Soon there will be a winter full of upgrades.

You have no idea how happy it makes me to see this. As a saab owner and mechanic. I see far too many Saabs going the way of your convertible when you first got it. And then they sadly meet the fate of the crusher. It fills me with joy Did see a Saab get restored like this. God bless. Long live SAAB.

The people who restore cars when their values are at rock bottom do so with their hearts and minds in perfect harmony.
I just bought a 1999 automatic convertible 9-3 with just 70,700 miles on the clock and full Saab dealership service history. Two owners before me. The last from 2003 only did about 2000 miles per year, but had everything serviced every year. Over the past 12 months alone they spent £2,500 on essential work.
The only negatives are some scuffs on the bumpers, one small dint in the passenger side door, some algae on the (optional blue) fabric roof, curbed alloys which really need sorting, and four new Chinese tyres!
It cost me £650! Many, with more issues and higher mileages are selling for between £400 and £550 here in the UK. I reasoned that the service history and low mileage made this a good deal.

The old girl has 650k km and has rust as the main color , but still drives .
Kind of sad i got her when the amount of rust was already too much to deal with it without spending a fortune !
still for 6 years already it has been a reliable car .

I think it looked better all blue with cream interior. Mine is steel grey with cream upholstery which is an odd choice, but looks ok.

Jonas, great video. I'm really enjoying the channel. Have you ever used a 19t turbo? Is it better or worse than 15t for daily driving an automatic?
Thanks Charles, The original Mitsubishi 15t is The best for Daily drivning. You could easy push 315hp /420nm on e85 with that turbo and with The automatic gearbox i wouldnt suggest to go Higher, with a 19t you could probably get 380-400hp on e85 but Its not healthy for The auto

Wow I'm impressed, really good job Jonas ! I own a 9.3 aero and i was thinking to put carbon fiber also to "rebuilt" the bumpers, and look nicer. How did you glue it on the bumper? did you use resin for polyester ? thanks

Vilken skillnad ett par schyssta fälgar och en polering gör.. Vanligtvis är jag inte speciellt förtjust i cabbar men jag måste erkänna att 900/9-3 funkar riktigt bra som cab. En annan bil som jag tycker funkar som cab är BMW E36.
Sänkning och fälgar gör jäkligt mycket på vilken bil som helst 👍

As a Saab owner of two 9-3 NG, very happy to see your TRANSFORMATION of the OG 9-3 ! Could you tell what kind of color dye you use for your upholstery / seats ? As I also want to change the color of mine
The color dye is bought from a store that sells furniture restoration products. It looks cool but you Will get a more "plastic" feel to your seats

No not sticky at all, more like Hard to the touch. Not soft as leather
What did you use to restore the roof? The canvas looks like new !!!
Just carshampoo and a mediumsoft brush and stroke in The direction of The fibers 👍
I have a 1999 Saab 93 turbo convertible w 150k miles.. Still runs well. Love what you did to the car. Looks great. What product did you use to clean the engine? and Products to wax the car? I live in the US so won't be able to understand the other sites you posted on the thread.
Awesome 👍 to clean The engine i just use a degreaser and a plastic restore product to make it black again. Soft99 is The wax that im using 👍

Just washed it with carshampoo and a mediumsoft brush. No other chemicals yet, will do some type of fabric sealant this winter 👍

Yes it would if lowering is what you want. This upgrade gives handling and performance

Yes, biltema. Den sitter kvar :) dock harju tröttnat på glansen så kommer nog göra om dom i vinter.
@@JonasKakarikas Okej nice ju! Du har inte fått lite missfärgningar av armen när du har den på dörrsidan och armsvetten "käkar" eller det märks inte? Funderar på att prova på mina men tyckte faktiskt också dina hade väldigt hög glans, vill ha det lite mattare typ :)
@@Emiroj nej ingen färg som lossnat eller färgat av och då blir den ändå jäääkligt varm när det är nercabbat och solen ligger på. Ska försöka hitta någon annan lösning av matt 2k klarlack.

Har ev material från när ja monterade på min og9-5, vet dock inte hur detaljerat. Men är inget svårt direkt, bara svetsa en anslutning ca 30cm från turbon och koppla ström till mätaren.

No, the rims are 5/108. BBS CK 007. Bought them used from a guy in Stockholm

2,5" catback utan slutdämpare, mittendämparen är kvar 👍 till vintern blir det 3" downpipe så då lär det bli lite bättre ljud 😉
@@JonasKakarikas Låter bra! Funderar på om jag skulle få lite mer muller på min om jag plocka mittendämparen och har kvar resten. Kör catback från simons 2.5tums.Vill ha mer dovt bara

@@JonasKakarikas look, in this new is 2.0 without turbo, 136hp, but in old one i got 2.0t 150hp, now i wanna put this turbo engine in "new saab", what i need to change, i know computer, but what else, and is it even posible
It possible, might have to move The electrical harness as well as modify The vin and immobilizer on The ecu. In sweden you have to register The car with The new engine, i dont know what rules you have were you live... But The swap is possible
