- Baxter and the Team visit Pittsboro, North Carolina to check out Steve Carr and pickup our first batch of CARR Amps. Steve Carr gives us a in depth look at why he and his team are building some of the best amps in the world!
Nice to see companies that really care about the quality of their work!
Waiting on some Carr Amp Demos from Baxter
The tours are some of my favorite videos. It's especially nice to see how the smaller boutique operations operate. I prefer seeing these over the giant manufacturers.
I really enjoy the laid back, underedited, almost documentary style of tour guys
Baxter in toyland again! Great video! Lovely people! :) xx
One of the best amp manufacturers EVER! Great tour!
My Merc V is far and away the best amp I have ever owned, and I have owned quite a few amps (very closely followed by the Viceroy, Telstar, and Raleigh I have had in the past as well!!). I will always have at least one Carr amp in my stable because of how great the amps are, how amazing they sound, how incredibly reliable and bulletproof they are for live playing, and how phenomenal the communication has always been with Steve and the team. Really exciting to see where the magic happens!
12:20 and we have a Marantz amp for audio ✌️, gréât vidéo , love that cie and its makers 👍
Total amp lust~! These amps sound great, look great, and are fun to mess around with. Congrats to Steve Carr and his team, wishing you continued success.
I have several high end amps and my Carr Super Bee is by far my favorite amp. Custom color ordered to match my SLO 30 head I have. Love it!
I love hearing that!
So excited about this video. For the last month I’ve been researching Carr amps. I only live about an hour and a half from the factory. Thanks Baxter and Sean!
Thank you Paul! Come on down and play one or ten sometime:)!!
Nice job. Always enjoy the tours !
Thank you Rob!
Great tour at Carr amps factory with wonderful people. I am proud to play on my Mercury amp. Thank you guys
Thanks, I like the longer form video for tours of any kind - goes deep.
Love my CARR amp! Cheers Casino!!
Reminds me of the electronics factories I worked in the the 1970s and early 1980s! Good to see that some people still work this way - carbon compostion resistors are a blast from the past too.
That is very cool to hear and yes...aweome how this still exists in small pockets:)
A bunch of peppers out of someones garden free to take.... thats the sign of a healthy work environment where people take care of each other... 100% of the time that leads to better quality products. Steve's also got a fantastic voice NGL, I could sit here and listen to him talk shop all day!
I was in casino wanting to see these amps in September! Yall didn’t have them just yet sadly 🤷♂️😂 I WILL be back! 😂 I mentioned wanting to take a tour im excited to see this vid! Everyone at casino was great got to me Baxter he’s a cool cat! Yall go check them out they have fantastic stuff! 🤘🎸
I'm fortunate to own a Mercury V and a Viceroy 2x12 combo. Been playing for 55 years and these are the best amps I've ever had. Started getting into Tom Anderson guitars over the past year, they are mighty fine too.
Great content. Watched the whole thing!
Thank you Bobby! You are the man!
I've got a Carr Raleigh. 3 watts, perfect for home playing. It just sounds and feels soooo good. Super clarity, it's unreal. I'm not a huge fan of the built in drive channel, but it doesn't matter. If I had the courage to try and play jazz gigs, that amp would be the one I would bring.
Played a Skylar and Impala a while back. Impressive amps.
I had a Slant and still have a Mercury from 2006. I emailed Carr re a question (the amp works fine still) and got a reply from Steve the next day. They care
I love my Skylark!!!
I love those as well...and the Telstar has me going now also!
I've loved these Carr amps since 1999-1/2. If I didn't have my 1999-1/2 Bad Cat Trem-cat I would buy a comparable Carr. Early Carr's seem to be alive, have a soul.
I purchased my Carr Rambler new about 6 years ago. #02028. Chassis DQ. Cabinet JB. Final JWM.
Cool video!!
What is it with you guys? Freaking mind readers. The belray is my next amp. Thanks for the video.
Belray is the Carr I’m most interested in, too! 🥰
Would love to see a Magnatone tour next!
Great idea:)!
Always dreamed of owning a Carr Rambler, it would be great if that was the Big Giveaway once CASINO Reached 100K of course a Benson or FUCHS Amp would be Amazing also, Hope he reissues the Mercury
My Carr Sportsman is just fantastic. I'd own several different models if I had the room and need for them.
I have never heard a Carr amp. I am going to have to hunt one down to hear one. Its build quality is quite high.
Baxter, great tour! Do more!! How do I get ahold of Brian from Carr Amps? I would love to buy 2 leather guitar straps!
The Skylark is one of the nicest sounding amps I’ve ever heard, I don’t love the quirky 50s visual aesthetic, but that’s a me problem 😅
I've only ever owned three amps, including my Peavey Rage. I really need to expand the collection.
🚗
Is Casino Guitars a Carr dealer now? Do I buy the Carr or the Two Rock? A better question: which one do I buy first?
Chad! The answer is yes and then yes again...I have already jumped in to multiples of both:)!
Might as Well Go for a Benson so have the Trifecta of Amps
So you're basically familiar with my guitars. I have a Fender 57 Champ and a Magnatone Super 15. Is my next amp a Super Bee or a Studio Signature?@@CasinoGuitars
Lol I always thought they were named after Carrboro, NC for some reason 🤣🤣😂
Solen caps makes all the difference…and they are neighbour… i built my amps just like Carr… learned from Tino Zottola. 🎯
If i was not building my amps, i’d buy Carr.
Al Franken/Harry Carray
Anybody notice those giant nonpolarized polystyrene Solen Filter caps in those things? No electrolytics for filtering, the only guitar amps Ive ever seen like that...
It's insane and good call there....they for sure do not cheap out and you can tell in the tone!
Ohh great now i am gas'en for a carr amp.
I have the gas filled up for you!...:)
Carr amps sound great, this is a true but the build quality construction it's a shame, to be honest. I mean, terminal strip construction it's a very nice way to build an amp if you want everything to be visible and easily repairable and modifiable ... But it looks like it was built by a novice or someone who has never built an amplifier before (The wiring doesn't need to be a work of art)
