    Nice review. I just picked up the Carbon version last month. No issues with the shield. You may want to replace your shield and see if it woks better. Stay safe.

      Thank you for appreciating. I need to order a new shield soon. It’s getting pretty scratched now

    The problem you're having is because the visor is not lined up properly. Loosen the Philips screws and move mechanism forward to give the visor room to close. I'm not overly impressed with the weak detent on the shield ,falls closed in the slightest wind Ride safe cheers.

      Hi. Thank you for the comment. The visor is not sitting right no matter how many times I have tried. This helmet is getting old now… soon I’ll be hunting for something different.

      Malcolm, thanks for the great tip. Maybe you know what might be the problem with the visor that crack near the clip after I go 120-130 km/h on a motorway ? already changed 3 visors this season. Cheers

    Thanks for the great review. I got one as my first helmet and I am really enjoying it. The closing latch on mine I have had no issues with, it is strong but not difficult to open and close, maybe it's something they tweaked more recently?

      I guess HJC has listened to their customers. Mine is still a pain pain after so many months of daily use.

    So happy I watched this video I was also looking at an LS2, the Citation by chance?
    And why did you switch?

    • @rideswithrichie
      @rideswithrichie  Рік тому +1

      I switched because this was a much better quality helmet, very well made and super quiet

      @@rideswithrichie Thanks for getting back to me, The LS2 just looks cooler to me but the build quality from the world’s foremost manufacturer of helmets HJC. I knew which I SHOULD end up on
      Which LS2 did you have, I’m curious

    Hello mate, thanks for the review, I'm definitely getting one. Can I just ask where you found a matte white finish RPHA 70? I've looked but assumed they didn't do a matte finish white! Cheers then.

      Hi. I bought this a couple of years ago. I just looked up online… you are right… I’m not sure if they make them anymore.

      @@rideswithrichie That is a shame, thanks for confirming though, I love the matte white ones...oh well. I suppose I'll have to go for the Reple Carbon Orange, it's a bit loud-and quite expensive, but I love it! 😂 Thanks again.

    Did you encounter any problem regarding the fogging near your nose?

    • @rideswithrichie
      @rideswithrichie  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes. It has started happening recently when I ride in the rain. I keep the visor a little open in the bottom… looks like the it’s the problem with the Pinlock insert.

    • @RRRRefuelRideRace
      @RRRRefuelRideRace 11 місяців тому +1

      @@rideswithrichie I see. Mine is new. I will have to try to adjust the pinlock or clean it. Do you think that it matters if I leave the vent open?

    Hi. Great review, thank you.
    I really like this helmet, but i heard there were some issues with the visor cracking on the lock mechanism. Have you encountered some issues with it? There is RPHA 71 available that should be free of this issue but unfortunately it is not available in carbon edition which i really love. Cheers!

    • @rideswithrichie
      @rideswithrichie  Рік тому +1

      Hi. Thank you for the comment. I have not had any problems with the helmet at all. It’s been great. The only problem is with the Pinlock. It does not seal properly and hence causes fogging of the wisor. Try the Rpha11 as well. It is a great helmet.
