BRO thank you!!!! I have been searching UA-cam for the past week on how to do this conversion and you video is the best one there is GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL ❤❤❤❤
how does this video not have more likes? I've been watching a few of these tbi to carb videos and by far this series is the cleanest, good job! Getting ready to do the same to the 92 Camaro I just picked up.
Aye Nick your videos gives me the confidence to do the swap on my 1994 gmc sierra k1500, your doing a great service by making these swap conversion clips, thanks brother
After you remove the c-clip and the cable. I reattach the c-clip to the t-body so you don't lose it and always know where it is. It won't come off on its own.
I actually don’t know, I was told it was universal and it kinda was but something tells me in its previous life someone modified it this way. I know for my swap I had to increase the side of the top holes for my 4 barrel.
Hey, Nick I have a 97 Vortec 5.7L Multi-port FI TB. I understand most of all the things I will need to remove and put in. Confused a bit on the electronics that run through the PCM. Is there any reference showing how to do that particular swap out?
@@nickconnors8515 yeah finding that out. It was just add two wires to go from six to eight. I thought It would be better to get the harness and ECM with the motor and that it would all work out a lot easier. That's not the case. I don't want to take all the money spent in the electronics and fuel system improvements and put it on a shelf and install carburation but damn it is getting there.
Not exactly “universal” the bolt holes were drilled and tapped on mine for both throttle body unit and carburetor. However I did have to add two holes in the back to make sure my 4 barrel can properly function.
Just swapped a 350 into my 95 k1500. It had the 4.3 in it. I’m not satisfied with the the tbi so I’m wanting to carb swap it. How do I know if I have a universal intake like you were saying?
It’s hard to tell, mine was technically universal and a 2 barrel would probably fit fine, but due to the fact I didn’t realize it wasn’t destined for a 4 barrel, I had to die grind the top so my 4 barrel will fit. I would suggest just buying a intake manifold for the 4 barrel. Do some research on how to run brake booster line and coolant lines.

Thank you! I’m glad the videos help, I hope your swap goes well.
Nice job, doing same swap in 96 engine trans and transfer case.

👌
where does one obtain a 2 barrel carb and adapter plate, new?
I am not sure, possibly on the internet I would assume.
What intake manifold do you have that allows both.

I’m not exactly sure, those newer trucks with the port injection take a little more to swap electronically.
