I mean they aren’t perfect by any means. They are lead largely by greedy businessmen. Considering they also practiced slavery, they give me some southern United States vibes
@@sthenelos1 The CIS does not enslave anyone, why do you want slaves if you have quadrillion droids at your disposal? No, the closest thing to slavery the CIS committed was when they used some civilians in Ryloth as human shields (although the responsibility for this atrocity goes to Watt Tambor, who basically did this behind the back of the rest of the CIS), or the Zygerrian Empire, although they were allies of the CIS but not part of them.
Of course the core didn't care at the war crimes being committed by 'their' soldiers and state. Because it wasnt happening to them, it didn't effect them, it wasn't happening where they could see it and thus they could ignore it. The core always lived off and benefited off the suffering and exploitation of the outer rim who supplied their higher standards of living at the cost of their own. The Rim succeed because of these systmic problems and most of the core citizens had no idea and were turned against them and eventually into the Empire by radical nationalism and ignorance to their suffering. The us versus them mentality can easily manipulate the masses. The reason this is such good writing and world building is because for those of us who know history don't see this as fiction, its just real history played out with a star wars backdrop. Which makes it that much scarier when looking at how far along we are to this
I bet you're a leftist. The core worlds didn't need the rim to prosper. They had plenty of rich planets in the core worlds region itself and in the colonies, like Fondor, Kuat, Balmorra and thousands of uninhabitad mining worlds. Keep in mind that just because the coreward regions were the most dense, it doesn't mean that every single star system was inhabited. Far from it. While the rim didn't have as much privileges as the more coreward worlds, the most important reason why it sucked was because it was outside the jurisdiction of the Republic, even the worlds that officially belonged to it. Oftentimes, these systems were ruled by (Hutt) crime syndicates who didn't care about the Republic. That's why slavery was so prevalent in the rim, even though it was forbidden in the Republic. Remember what Shmi told Padmé. Speaking of Padmé, even most planets in the mid rim like Naboo were civilized compared to the outer rim, so the vast majority of galactic inhabitants enjoyed the benefits of the Republic.
I agree. Nationalism distracts the people by giving them a foreign escapegoat, while the real culprits are spared and even cheered. The mentality of us vs them will always lead to atrocities.
@@wilhufftarkin8543 No, you must be a rightist how you blatantly misrepresent the corrupt capitalistic design of 1st world regions basing their wealth off of the exploitation of the less developed regions The Core was kept alive by the constant flow of trade from mid to outer rim. The core had the developed industry and citizen population centers that made up the society of the republic. But they were only sustained by the costant flow of raw goods like food, water, natural resources, and material from the mid to outer rim. The core needed the raw materials from outer rim which were then refined by the industrial sectors in the core to sustain there good living standards. Without that trade the core would starve as seen in the old republic era when the mandalorians blockaded the hydian way trade route and almost overnight the core world was stripped of all essential raw goods from the outer rim which in turn almost collapsed the republic if the blockade hadn't been broken by smugglers like Hylo Visz. Almost all throughout the history of the galaxy the outer and mid rims have been given the shorter end of benefits from the economy and even outright exploited by the then growing corporate sectors like the trade federation who took advantage of their less developed status which eventually lead to their separatist succession. This is the sad fact of unregulated capitalism, by design it needs a constant under developed impoverished sector to sustain and enrich its counterpart sectors with cheap goods made by cheap labor who can only be cheap due to its lower standards of living which the core always made sure would happen.
I expected this to be about the old EU clone wars where clones went mad, the quicker they were grown the quicker they lost their minds as the Force rejected their existence. Only Thrawn was able to figure out that puzzle.
Dark Horse Comics did a good damn job exploring and adding lore to the early Post-Order 66/A New Hope Era of Star Wars. They also did an excellent job at creating the foundations of the future (Legacy Era) and the very ancient past (Pre-Republic). I miss there work. I miss "real" Star Wars stories...
Real Sith, tough combat, great plots, political schemes, ancient enemies, powerful weapons, wise teachings, heroic people, and complex conflicts... That golden era is over.
All the more reason to join and/or support the Star Wars Legends movement. They are fighting to see Legends continue as a separate, but equal timeline alongside the new canon with new stories.
The CIS holdouts reminds me of how in WWII when the German remnant forces, those that didn't defect or go into hiding, still kept fighting even after Berlin was overtaken by Allied forces which led Germany to surrender before having dealt with them eventually.
Los reductos Japoneses de la post-guerra fueron más duraderos qué los de Alemania. Hay un montón de historias de Japoneses qué se escondían incluso por decadas. Los de la Wehrmacht y las Waffen-SS no duraron tanto en la clandestinidad.

This could be expanded to Ground officers too none carried any. But after the Clone Wars you see the rebel/ imperial officers carry PDW's.

Funny enoguht the clones got retirment packet so they don't have to work after they retire unless they want to as instructors. They get high pensions from the empire
I'm happy the Canon changed at least some part of it... Although, hearing "They even burnt villages where some Jedi might have been passing by" reminds me so much of Wermaht...
Would you be willing to play a game (maybe DLC for Fallen Order) that focuses on Vader/ the Inquisitorius and the 501st hunting down the Jedi? You would play as either a clone trooper and/or an Inquisitor with a special reward for exceptional skill being a section where you can play as Vader on specific solo missions. There could even be an option to capture Jedi, for instance you can have an unlockable skill like Dun Möch that allows you to mock and taunt weak-minded Jedi and possibly convince them during the fight that all hope is lost causing them to fall to the dark side and serve the Empire.
1:48-1:56: Oh cool, an image of the Battle of Boz Pity (The more you know) lol. 3:18-3:21: I'd argue at least some Clones did care about civilians, but only those that were taught compassion by their Jedi leaders, like the 501st, 212th, and Wolf Pack. However, not every Clone unit was like that, some had a lot of anger and now without anyone to temper that anger they unleashed it on the Galaxy. And even those that were compassionate had that overridden thanks to the Inhibitor Chip. That's kind of ironic when you think about, all throughout the Clone Wars we saw the kind and brave 501st Clones as heroes, but as the war dragged on, more of those kind-hearted Clones died off, Hardcase, Tup, Fives, and so on, and after the war, the kind ones left were turned into mindless killing machines by the Chips. Just think of all the horrors they committed as Vader's Fist. I guess that old saying is true in the case of all those good and kind Clone units, "You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain." Except for Rex thankfully and presumably Echo since his Chip was probably too damaged after what the Techno Union did to him.
@@Supersonicspyro honestly, the clone wars slots well with most of what was discussed in the video i'd reckon. Obviously there'd be some elements that would need tweaking but for the most part it works

I kind of do that with some of my Star Wars fanfics were I either take a battle seen in both Canon and Legends and combined elements from both to form a new version of the battle, or I take a Legends Battle and try to fit it into the new Disney Canon, like the Battle of Jambiim or Boz Pity, by making adjustments to it.
We need a second Clone War to explain why they were called the Clone Wars (plural). Different campaigns during the first war don't make them separate wars.
It's really no wonder the Jedi were more or less incompetent as generals. They simply didn't have the training for it. No matter how competent they were as individual combatants or even small units, they couldn't possibly have been prepared to command thousands upon thousands of troops.
Except they did. That's why they managed to hold off quintillions of battle droids with only millions or billions of clone troopers. That's a very good quality when it comes to generals.
Except they weren't incompetent. A lot of battles during the Clone Wars were won due to Jedi leadership. The problem was many Jedi did not want to send soldiers to their deaths as they were trained as peacekeepers.

If you don’t support the republic and empire you are just wrong.

Speaking of Padmé, even most planets in the mid rim like Naboo were civilized compared to the outer rim, so the vast majority of galactic inhabitants enjoyed the benefits of the Republic.
mmmmm smells like a communist too me ^
I agree. Nationalism distracts the people by giving them a foreign escapegoat, while the real culprits are spared and even cheered. The mentality of us vs them will always lead to atrocities.
@@wilhufftarkin8543 No, you must be a rightist how you blatantly misrepresent the corrupt capitalistic design of 1st world regions basing their wealth off of the exploitation of the less developed regions
The Core was kept alive by the constant flow of trade from mid to outer rim.

What's crazy is that people are still making videos with legends content than canon. Shows how much better legends is
I expected this to be about the old EU clone wars where clones went mad, the quicker they were grown the quicker they lost their minds as the Force rejected their existence. Only Thrawn was able to figure out that puzzle.
"My how time flies, it's been 10,000 years already."

We all do 🥺
Dark Horse has some great comics, always a good read
Thats my canon
Geetsly's I swear you must have a Hunger Jacks sponsor or something as for the past year I've only ever gotten their adds on your content an nobody elses and five just in this video.
Oi btw idea for a video and a question I've pondered awhile but were Naval Officers during the Clone Wars seen as non combatants? As none of them on either side never ever seem to carry PDW's aboard theirs ships and by the looks most executed without fighting back, exhibt A Admiral Trench in S.7.
This could be expanded to Ground officers too none carried any.
But after the Clone Wars you see the rebel/ imperial officers carry PDW's.
Now that you mention it, that is something he could do a topic on.
Hahahahah! Hungry Jacks wants your business it seems.

Everyone: "Ok, this is worse"
Jedi: "Too late"
Remember what he's talking about is legends content, which clone wars 2008 never really fit in
@@Supersonicspyro honestly, the clone wars slots well with most of what was discussed in the video i'd reckon. Obviously there'd be some elements that would need tweaking but for the most part it works
@@britishrex5515 I agree. I feel there are many great Legends stories that can fit in the new Canon with some tweaking here and there.
Would love to see a game, show, or movie about these conflicts

Yes more about the reconquest pls
