The real reason most of us don't know much about the Battle of Mygeeto, is because Lego still hasn't made UT-At or proper Omnidroid set with the Galatic Marines yet.
Also, the fact that the planet's most interesting stuff are relegated to comics and novels. Not a good exploration point for people acclimated to televisual media.
I really wish we saw more of the outer rim sieges like the battles of Mygeeto, Felucia, Saleucami, etc. in the Clone Wars, like imagine the gritty episodes we could've gotten from those.

Its more of an Leningrad siege than Stalingrad because , if we are honest, they couldn't break through, and only won after the droids were deactivated. Its kinda like Leningrad , but the difference is that the Red Army pushed away the forces

If only, i dont know anyone who is as invested as me. My younger brother likes star wars but hes not old enough watch the movies yet, just clone wars and rebels which took way too much convincing to make that happen. Other than that i really dont have anyone to discuss the lore with anymore. But atleast i have a friend who likes to watch the shows with me, we have sat trough the clone wars all the way to the book of boba and everything in between.
I think the Battle for Kharkov would be the best example for Christophsis much like Geonosis was the constant capturing and recapturing from both sides until finally one of factions delivers a fatal blow to the other factions forces stationed around the planet or sector of galactic space forcing the enemy to cut their losses and retreat from the whole sector never being able to threating system again. So the Battle of Kursk in away was fatal blow to Nazi Germany in the east because much of the units that would have been used to secure and hold Kharkov from the Russians would have been diverted to the Kursk Counter Offense which was just an all out fight to the death basically in which Russia came out on top and forced the surviving forces to further retreat behind there lines.
If Sev'rance Tan survived and is the one who lead the Separatists forces at the Battle of Mygeeto, I wonder how things will go. Would Kid Adi Mundi and Commader Bacara even survive this battle at all? Would that detachment of the 501'st dispatched by Palpatine will even made it out with the kyber crystal that they've been tasked with taking for him? I doubt that.

Actually, it lasted for three years, not for two years. There were four military campaigns in total to take the planet, with 2/4 being led by Jedi Master Depa Bilaba, the third battle of which took place months before ROTS and she was transfered out, replaced with Ki-Adi Mundi. The second battle is actually not known about apparently, as I could not find much information about it whatsoever.
Captain Bacara was one of my favorite characters for no damn reason and one of my most irrational but favorite fan theories was that he was actually there at the Battle of Hoth

What I don't understand is why would the Republic land troops before securing its space. I also understand there are key infrastructures that are wanted to remain intact but why don't we see more orbital bombardments?
Two things: 1.) If you're looking for other battles to do, how about the Third Battle of Felucia, since outside of Operation Knightfall, it's the one battle during the Clone Wars from the OG Battlefront 2 game you haven't covered in a video like this as you've already done Mygetto, Courascant, Kashyyyk, and Utapu. If not how about something else from the Outer Rim Sieges like the Battle of Catonemodia? 2.) While watching this video and thinking of the OG Battlefront 2 game because of the Mygetto level, I think I've come u with a way most of that game, at least the Clone Wars campaigns can still be canon: Since the 501st has many units, for the more sinister missions like the Mygetto one where they get the crystal for the Death Star have the unit lead by a dick Clone Commander who is evil like Vill or maybe Appo, but for the less overtly evil ones like Felucia have it lead by Rex or maybe Vaughn, it works out well with Rex since he participated in the first two battles of Felucia so Ayla and Bly could use his insight if Anakin can spare him for a bit.

Jedi Master Depa Bilaba and her Padawan Caleb Dume (Kanan Jarrus) fought in the second battle of Mygeeto. Master Bilaba confronted Grievous for a time but he eventually gained the upper hand in the duel, and then Caleb almost took on Grievous, but then Fen Rau and his Mandalorian Protectors in his Skull Squadron came in, blaster cannons ablazing and took out some of the battalions of Battle Droids and practically saved Kanan's and Depa's lives.

Mygeeto you understand thanks to this video. Felucia was the Head-Quarters of the Commerce Guild. Salucami was home to a massive CIS cloning project the Jedi and GAR laid siege to for years. While all three were important stronghold of the CIS they were constantly under attack yet never taken by the GAR until the end of the war.
