So Manita, would be a very interesting pun on her name with a very affectionate and caring change on her name. We're used to do this in Mexico when calling kids. Like José is very common to change it into Pepe (caring), so when talking to a kid you call him Pepito (little Pepe, and by extension, little José). I'm assuming you're not mexican... am I correct?
SUBTITLE ERROR at 3:30 the subtitles should say "but I ended up taking a photograph with her and receiving an autograph on a cd, which made me very happy" meaning that Mana was very professional and it was actually Rinko who learned something from her. In the original subtitles, Rinkos words were translated so that she sounded selfish, which was really not the case.
Instead of seeing Mana chan's future why not seeing her past. Watch her great performances in "Mother", "Marumo no Okite", "Beautiful Rain", etc. She is already a great actress!
Japan's opening was not as big as I hoped (3 mill).PR is close to 345 mill worldwide even though Japans opening was just okay,I've seen blogs that the reviews/word of mouth is strong over there so maybe it stays steady.WB keeps fudging the marketing/release dates of this movie.Pitt & Depp are very popular in Japan.WB sandwiched PR opening between Lone Ranger & WWZ.Not a wise move.But PR is on pace for 110 mill in China.It may reach 100 million in China in 3 weeks vs. the U.S. since opening day.
I'm thinking baout his name being pronounced phonetically: gi-ye-ru-mo de-ru to-lo. Doesn't seem that difficult. She should have just called him "Will (Wiru)" if it was that difficult for her. LOL. She is adorable and I hope she has a long career. Kikuchi Rinko is amazing, as always.
