Del toro's biggest fear must be having kids playing around in his house.
XGameshoundX Actually it's sharks and zombies, he's afraid of being eaten.
Outerheaven97 I'm pretty sure he's played back about it. This stuff is literally his life
I doubt it,,, these hellyweird folks are into pedophilia
@@amandal.1422 could you imagine having such a lame life that all you do is spew Trump supporter BS in UA-cam comments?
@@amandal.1422 dafuq
Imagine if everything in the house came to life like night at the museum.
right on
please no... the Linda Blair statue if brought to life is enough to give del Toro instant death through heart attack... o_0
NOPE NOPE NOPE SO MUCH NOPE
YOU KNOW TOO MUCH!!!
YAS!!
I guess he wasn't joking when he said he was “well acquainted with the dead”...
It's so weird hearing his real voice now
yup
Omg he looks exactly the same.
@@Windowlickercentral3 Funny, because I think his voice sound exactly the same like the voice actor.
Guillermo did lectures/screenings for a few weeks in Toronto on some Hitchcock films. He would talk about the films before and after, and during a screening of FRENZY, he sat directly behind me. I peeked at him, and he was just transfixed with a big smile on his face like it was the most awesome thing ever. The dude loves cinema.
of course he were. look at his movie. there something wrong inside that "disarming smile of santa clause cheery geek" head. in a very good way..😈
I feel like he’s really just a little kid always excited to see new things and to be around what he loves. 😊😊
I went to one of his Hitchcock masterclass. I came to see Shadow of a Doubt and loved it. Probably the first time I've ever seen a Hitchcock movie in its entirety. I also got to know Guillermo through working on set for Pacific Rim.
@@tinlunlau1 What did you do on Pacific Rim? If you don’t mind my asking, of course.

This is probably my favourite Conan bit in a while. It's fascinating, and Andy gives a good balance of humour and genuine interest.
I love your easter eggs videos! Such a shame P.T, got cancelled.
Silent Hills*
Love your vids Guru
guru :D nice to see you here
Whoa! Fancy seeing you here. You're videos make my day, bro. Keep up the good work :)
Going to the bathroom at night must be insane
"The only thing I drink is flan" That line just slayed me, hard. XD
What is flan?
its a pastry that tastes like sweet carmel with milk its really good :D
flantasy flan...
The1AndOnlyGoldenboy
A little late but it is also known as crème caramel flan, caramel pudding or just plain ol' flan. It's a MF wonder, easy to make, easy to enjoy, easy to want more (and easy to make you gain a lot of weight)
This looks exactly like you would imagine Guillermo Del Toro's house. Now I understand why he makes all those awesome movies - so that he can get some replicas from the set to his collection:)
And also why can't we support this guy with the box office? It's clear what he spends his money at and he sure as hell deserves that!
That's not actually his house, it's A house he store all his collection, but he lives in another place.
NicKeLas his inspiration is endless. Genius!
@@Math617261273 He should totally fill the kitchen with creepy stuff too then.
@@Math617261273 ahh i see...thanks for your info
Having replicas is part of the reason i make stories just to hope a see them in real life one day
imagine being high in that house...
Going through that house while tripping would be a right of passage.
I'd imagine there'd be a lot of tripping. And smashing. And breaking.
Specify what kind of high, because mj would be still ok, I think, but I don't want to even try to imagine what would it be like to be high on acid or shrooms there.
+Scrotie McBoogerball
I think being high on anything in that house would not be fun
imagine it with LSD.
Damn, insanity paranoia would kick.
Thank god it was Andy who visited the house
No he would just make the video awkward with his unfunny comments. Andy is the man.
conan would go creepy sexual jokes
We've got a clever one right here..
"Im gonna express my individuality through indifference, irony and cynicism!"
+Vrillon I get why you like it.
Del Toro is a hardcore Horror fan. A few years ago, he purchased the mansion featured in the original DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK when he heard it was on the market.
He's amazing and that has been Andy shouldn't be anywhere near that genius
+Sean Williams English dude
+Sean Williams He makes grotesque movies for the pleasure of the perverse. What is a has been? A person is either funny or they're not. It shouldn't matter what other people think. Andy has some witty remarks. Jealous much?
Damn I forgot about that movie.
+Trent Hill ...forgot Hostel?
Rip Cameraman. May you find a new job.
He had one job
@@duchessedeberne3909 and he *dropped* it
@@garyleonardmamankay I don't get it, what does he do? I can hear something smash or fall but I don't know what it is.
@@josephdocherty7919 I'm also not sure but from what I can see it seems to be a plate of some sort?
@@garyleonardmamankay Yeah, I think his camera knocks it off the cabinet to the left of him.
Thats a house that's never starving for conversation.
The perfect house to go on a date in.
Guillermo, please adopt me!!!! I'm 30, but I can't see anything wrong with that...
Me too!!! I'll fit right in, and I can make one hell of a tea!
i would adopt you
+PINOY MOVIE TV
Well obviously,duh😆
If you're alive... that could be a problem. xD
I'm pretty sure Guillermo from Jimmy Kimmel is free.
Guillermo is living the dream.
... A rather DISTURBING dream, but still... :)
More like nightmare
Guillermo is living his dream.
This is da real American Otaku dream
He definitely deserves it
I didn't know Andy was a big horror fan. Guillermo's house is amazing.
It's every horror fans' dream house
But where does he live ?
He has another house next to that one.
Stupid Jerk b
He was in scary movie 2 I think
For some reason, I cringed so hard that I felt like apologizing after the cameraman broke the model. Through the screen. To the past.
Aaron Powell saaame
Ahh I don’t want to watch that part. I’m so scared to be embarrassed.
pretty sure that was a bit.
If it "was a bit" then they would've had Andy do it. Not get a shitty shot by having the camera guy do it
headphonic8 that cameraman works at Mcdonalds now
I wish this was at least an hour long!
It probably could easily be made that long. Pretty sure that was just a small sampling of the whole. :)
@Rute Soares 4 hours long!
I just love how Del Toro never stopped loving his monsters, even if they didn't bring him awards or didn't make him a Big Shot in Hollywood... Directors now-a-days tend to forget why they started making movies in the first place, Spielberg forgot his first love, Science-Fiction and Nolan made an Oscar Bait as he was too desperate to win an Oscar. Really happy for This Polar Bear of Man, Del Toro's a cute Legend!
I didn't see a single mimic
@@dappercrown46 he actually has them too
Dude Nolan never cared about winning any Oscar. When Guillermo win Oscar for best director he was happy for him watch the video of del toro receiving Oscar.
One of the worst offenders is Tim Burton. You can tell everything's for a paycheck with him nowadays as it's all phoned in.
@@mercurydude The statement of anyone jealous of someone else's big success - 'they sold out, man!!!!' 🤣
That must be a nightmare to clean.
That is the house of a genuine fan and collector. You can tell he loves what he does.
And he's fantastic at his job, too.
Del Toro seems like a hell of a genuine man
Guillermo Del Toro seems so nice! Like the nice uncle that always gives everybody snacks. lmao for real. Cool dude.
..untill you saw his movies...
how would you like your tea?
Is this one of Deadman's beaches he's been hoping for?
@Lord Chanka Death Stranding is a masterpiece.
I was looking for a comment like this
The mini skeletons on Ray Harryhausen has to be my favorite thing I saw.
Ive heard his name maybe three times in my life, and two of those times were in the past two days. wierd when that happens.
+Bent Neatly I'm pretty sure there's a name for that phenomenon. I can't remember it, though. I've experienced it multiple times.
+Bent Neatly Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon.
*****
badass info.
Loved it all but the Ray Harryhausen was just so sweet in that sea of (amazing) creep. Guillermo
A friend of mine went to Guillermo's house, he never got out.
Who would want to get out of there?
I would actually love to be that friend
Lucky bastard.
He's probably inside the fridge 3:40
Username checks out
God.. I want a Del Toro Haunted Mansion movie so bad
he is making one
arkham661 supposedly. But he's working on like 1,000 things.
Only if Eddie Murphy is in it.
+Giant Iron Claw nah. That's been done. What fans want is a little fresh meat. Y'know, something new.
He already did Crimson Peak. That is close enough.
I expected to see Hideo Kojima hiding in one of the closets...
...with zombie or mist of undead bodies?
Man, I hope they faked the busted robotic bug thing.
Since Kojima has visited Guillermo Del Toro house, I wonder what actually happen between those two.
Probably geeking bromance.
Kojima!?....i smelled new epic horror movie in the air....
i'm teary eyed...
They are making a game together I guess this is your answer
@Schizo Tazer Very soon, yes. November the 8th, 2019.
"This would be a terrible house to be drunk in," I think it'd be an even worse house to be high in, lol.
This made me love Guillermo del Toro so much more.
Andy is a great interviewer!
I hate vacuuming behind my TV. I can't imagine how much his housekeeper hates her job.
Probably gets paid so much though
prolly uses a small painting brush to dust stuff :P
He said he was the one who cleaned the house.
well I'd hate to clean around creepy Linda Blair on the sofa too🤷🏻♂️
Nice assumption that it's a woman.
Will never forgive Konami for what they did to the masterpiece Guillermo Del Toro and Kojima were going to make
#FucKonami
Pt?
Silent Hills
I'll never forget
Dr. Dude I agree with you man. Death Stranding looks promising to me and it never wouldn't even exist if he was still part of Konami.
Goddamn, Guillermo seems like the nicest and coolest guy to hang out with. He has a great sense of humor.
Justice league dark by del toro needs to happen
Also, he was cool about smashing his stuff
I think he said that it was insured, anyway.
Still, I probably wouldn't have handled it that well. :)
Look at his face in the next take, he clearly cried a little
Guillermo's next monster will be modelled after Andy.
hahahahahaha good one
You never wanna do mushrooms and go in Guillermo's house.
not if you as hardcore of horror fan as Guillermo 😈
It just makes me smile seeing Edgar Poe and H.P in the same room inside Del Toro's house, considering that Edgar was basically a mentor for H.P, and H.P was a mentor to future authors and creators like Del Toro.
Such a total nerd :P
Even HP if he was still alive would be disgusted at the fact of someone like del toro liking him
@@asuraXTC I thought he hated Asians and blacks not someone for speaking Spanish
@@asuraXTC Why? Del Toro is white.
@@davidcabreonmunoz6258 No Del Toro is Mexican

Met Del Toro this year at a film fest. Nicest guy ever and funny as hell.
I want Adam and Norm from Tested doing a video in this house!!

yesss!!!!
best conan video in months, and best idea in a comment in just as long?! today's gonna rock!
yes yes yes yes yed
OMG YES
Thank god it was Andy. He seemed genuine and didn't try to break anything.
OMG! He's quite a character and pretty original! Totally love him.
There is just no way those things don't come alive and run around the house at night. Just no way.
shhhh....dont be scared, child. they just wants to play...
Guillermo: "And here is the Tablet of Akhmenrah, which was in the Night at the Museum movies and made everything come to life..."
Me: "Uh-oh..."
@MegaVikingen Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he did actually have that
A book cabinet that opens up a secret room? That is my dream! That is amazing!
Amazing director he is
I bought "Pan's Labyrinth" when it came out due to the commercials and hype. Got it home and realized it was in Spanish with English subtitles and was pretty upset, but wound up becoming so engrossed with the story that after a while, I just didn't notice. It's such a beautiful and awesome film. :)
+James Anthony
I'm glad you adapted to the subtitles. There are many great foreign films out there so don't limit yourself to English speaking films.
*****
I usually go with the dubbed versions of films when I can (gotta love the bad lip syncing from Gamera and Godzilla movies), but for the most part I tend to avoid those with just subtitles as they usually require me to watch twice (once to see the movie and again to read what's going on). If I wanted to read a movie, I'd just pick up a book.
I'm lazy that way ;)
ProperGanderSaul
... Meh. :)
right you are
As a horror nerd myself, I have mad respect for this guy
I love Guillermo and his body of work (Hellboy, Pacific Rim, The Devil's Backbone, Cronos) - incredible - so fascinating to see the literally lives and breathes his love of horror!
Maybe bringing a full camera crew into the house wasn't the best idea.
Guillermo Del Toro and Quentin Tarantino seems to be one of the last movie directors that are truly passionate about their craft and doesn't do things unless it's something they're passionate about
It's impossible not to love Guillermo del Toro, he's not only a great filmkaer, he's such a huge freaking nerd like us :')
I'm so Proud Guillermo is mexican 💕 te amo guille
nekonesspumper trump was right, some are good people lol
Auto Focus .........
Well Jonathan Haidt does have an all encompassing intellect. You could even learn something. You might have to take notes and watch the video several times though to get a basic level understanding, but keep trying, kiddo.
Me da tanto orgullo! 🇲🇽🖤
México just send the best! Viva mi paisano y viva mi México! Um grande abraço para meus paisanos desde Portugal! Por q los verdaderos mexicanos no imaginamos cosas chingonas.... Las hacemos!
I bet he has a BB in the collection now
Poor deadman he hasn't a beach 😭
With his face on it
Guillermo Del Toro is one of the most imaginative and accomplished film makers we have today. His Oscar win was long overdue and the statuette should have a special inscription that reads "Mostly for Pan's Labyrinth - 2006".
Ironically Andy filmed a scene with linda (the exorcist) in "Scary movie2" lol
- the more you know-
Well, actually, that was Natasha Lyonne, not Linda Blair.
"intriguing but highly disturbing..."
I always enjoy the Andy vids, it's just nice to see him get plenty of words in & he warrants being the main guy with what must take vast amounts of patience being the guy sitting at the end mainly listening during shows, just great to see him enjoy himself as I love Andy
Del Toro please make more movies!
Shape of Water is out now
Pinocchio.
Linda's armchair looks way more comfortable than the sofa
I absolutely love Del Torro's work and the monsters he creates . I wish Silent Hills never got cancelled :(
Another reason why I so love Guillermo! He likes ALOT of the same classic horror/sci-fi movies that I like!😋😍😜
WHY IS THIS ONLY FIVE MINUTES LONG OMG this was possibly the best on-site bit in a while! Andy is slightly less jaded than Conan apparently when it comes to awesome nerd things.
This was awesome, andy is so chill, he is definitely one of the best for this type of interviews.
4:11 that ones so wholesome and cute
It's great to see Andy out and about. Inspires me to get off my own couch and explore other people's houses.
So awesome! They do tours? I want a tour!
I think the camera crew just answered your question.
+oopoo64 hahaha
Guillermo Del Toro's house is AWESOME! I was geeking out on just about everything I saw inside.
This is awesome. Kinda reminds me of G.R.R. Martins house.... it's geeked out in a similar fashion, with a whole room just for dioramas.
And they're both tubby guys with glasses and grey beards.
Basically they look like typical nerds. Only a lot older than the ones that infest reddit or 4chan
Del Toto should direct Justice League Dark. c'mon DC make it happen!
Shout out to Jacques Demy Criterion box set at 4:30
You can tell he’s pissed about whatever that dude broke
I mean who wouldn't
I never wanted this interview to end!!
This is my 13 year old self's dream house. I was such a horror fan. Seeing Del Toro's collection is like a nostalgia wave.
You go into a wonderful museum like this, Del Toro's collection, full of irreplaceables...and you break something. He warns you to be careful yet you still do the dorkus. Nice job.
That's my dream house. LOVE the Harryhausen tribute statue!
This is an awesome collection!
where is Guillermo's best friend Kojima?
Not working with each other, unfortunately.
He's hiding behind the couch. He is the master of stealth.
XD
He is in the fridge.
He's his voice of God at the moment
He should turn that into a Museum.
This was awesome! Guillermo and Andy! I'm so happy :D
I already could imagine conan's antics if he was the one who did the house tour instead...refreshing to see andy once in a while in a mini remote lol
Who's here after seeing him in Death Stranding
Love all of his work but now when I see him I think, "Deadman!!" I'm really surprised he let Kojima mole cap him to be an in game character. I was so happy to see it though
Imagine if that tablet from Night in the Museum was in there.
His Halloween parties must be extraordinary!!!
please, that was so awesome. i love the haunted mansion so much
how awful is it to clean that house..
Great job, Andy! Really enjoyed this :)
I LOVE that man! He's a genius and yet incredibly humble
Wow amazing, I loved it so much!
We seriously need more remotes!! Either with Andy or Conan....
This video is amazing
I love how the bookshelf leads into the fantasy room, it reminded me of Lion Witch and the Wardrobe. I imagine being in a house like that injects creativity into you
Need at least an entire hour of this. More more more please.
Guillermo looks like Andy in 10 years
I am so jealous of this man! XD
If you play death stranding his character in the game makes the Frankenstein fandom very apt.
I love him so much u can tell he loves talking and showing off his stuff in his house 👍
3:49 that would be true
What an awesome director!
One of the best imaginative film directors out there. Must be a trip being alone in there when its a cold, rainy, windy night. The creatures that come out in his films, the majority of them are hand drawn by him.
this is so cool.I'd love to go there and look at everything!
