one of the finest tracks of their *whole career,* they had been around for a good while and still released something ssssO well done like this, still gets me hyped like FKKKKK
It annoys me when people whine about Andy not being in the band. ANDY made a choice and left not only the band but US as fans AND he did it TWICE! If anything Warren should be back, he was with Duran longer than Andy was and did more for them. I'm not a huge Warren fan but I can give him props for what he did. Sure Andy was great and if it weren't for him who knows, but he could have sucked it up and stayed.
Totaly agree and the band doesn't need Andy, they sound better than ever. Dom Brown is great as well, not just as a guitarist but also as a songwriter, he co-wrote all but two song on All You Need Is Now. Dom's been playing with the band since 2006, they should make him a full member, he deserves it.
well said. I actually think Warren's talent is criminally underrated, but he made some personal choices and espoused some theories that alienated him from fans and DD. I have never been able to understand DD fans' fixation with Andy Taylor -- he was a good guitarist, but certainly fell WAY short of Warren's talent. I guess fans always like the OG guy?? As for Dom.... meh. He seems like a decent guy, but his guitar skills are pretty bad. If I were DD, I would try to lure Warren back.
While I have remained a DD fan and reaped the benefits of their prior 2 albums by remaining loyal...I can certainly appreciate Andy's point of view - JUSTIN FREAKIN TIMBERLAKE AND TIMBALAND producing/collaborating...umm..no..just NO!! I guarantee had they released AYNIN back in '07 instead of '10...Andy would have stayed! What they NEED to do is get the talented Music Producer and former Roxy Music Keyboardist - BRIAN ENO to produce an album! U2 and Coldplay benefited phenomenally from his incredibly talented and genius mind! Bowie himself collaborated and became good friends with Eno and they both respected and held each other in high esteem!! What an album THAT would be! .
Without Warren there would never have been The Wedding Album and, as a consequence, 'Ordinary World'…It was literally recorded in Warren's home studio and relaunched the band at probably their lowest ebb…Massive props to Dom too and for his quiet loyalty and playing.
4 things which make DD a great band.. Great singer, great drummer, great keyboardist, great bassist.. The great guitarist they had still MIA.. WTF?! But, I still love them.. First band I ever seen live!!
you are so wrong, DD play for 35.0000 people in Buenos Aires in May, and ROCKS! Maybe de dvd cant capture the full energy at all, but see DD live this year was a god gift my friend. Only artefacts gest old.
Anyone that thinks Simon isn't singing live doesn't know their music! They are one of the few bands that sound as amazing live as they do on CD. After his throat issues he came back with an even stronger voice them before! I saw them before and after the issues and he sounded even better then before! Can't wait to see them live again, hopefully in 2014
@ajittffcure - yep sure is catchy! Love the new stuff along with the old! @podiumguy100 I was there so, yes, the live version does sound really good but I like both that and the CD version! The video is sooooo clever and typically unassuming of DD cos they don't really appear at all! Shows they're not as vain as some bands are!
Wish Andy was a member again so there would be some REAL guitar playing once again.. Also, so sad to see my all-time favorite band look so OLD and Uncool.. Its great they're still performing but the whole Dom Brown era is just so Sad. For a great DD concert, watch them when they played the Hammersmith in 1982.. they were So Alive back then
"Gentlemen take Polaroids." that is a perfect way to describe Nick!
Yeah his dumb book
As ever DD The best band in The world !!!!!!!! Sincé 1981
one of the finest tracks of their *whole career,* they had been around for a good while and still released something ssssO well done like this, still gets me hyped like FKKKKK
Essentially 'Girls on Film' part 2, but none the worse for that!
I love this song. It sounds every bit as good as their classic songs sound.

Totally agree, not only that, missing persons (Warren's old band) were a great band too

I wish they'd make Dom an official member of the band - he's a great balance between Andy and Warren...restrained, yet he makes his presence known.

Don't forget, early 20"s and early 50's.......energy levels are a bit different. They still put on a great show.
this and AYNIN weakest tracks on the album
davied lebonnie 7 if this is the weakest track then it shows how great the album is
