Ben Fennell for some reason a lot of me262 pilots underestimate meteors and don’t extend that much. They try to dogfight and u should always win those. Also Meteor has great acceleration so u can often catch up to them if they lose energy.

I know it a late comment, BUT what youre saying isnt true. Meteors were flying above Germany in 1945 and while they never fought aircrafts in the air they destroyed a ton of them on airfields. Around 40 if I remember correctly. Also they destroyed a number of ground targets.

according to wikipedia the Meteor is faster and has 4x20mm cannons vs the 262 4x30mm. I think most aircraft didn't go to 30mm because of the weight of the ammunition and the space needed for the heavier shells.

The me 262 had terrible turn, terrible reliability and had a massive death rate due to crashes. It’s nose cannons were strong, but had poor placement. Gloster meteor had no massive issues, so it’s an overall better aircraft

Emperor Sudo the arado has a higher energy output and the best thrust to weight ratio at 7.0 with 3 bombs being either 1x1000 kg and 2x250kgs or 3x500kgs, the arados better in performance in every way and the r2y2 has the guns
But at the same time, the Arado has little to no self defense, and trying to eliminate enemy fighters or bombers is usually very risky in it, though it could rid a base or two

And it was no use at all against V-2s. And it didn't have the range for bomber escort, the Luftwaffe was no longer capable of offensive action so the RAF didn't need an interceptor. So it was pretty much useless. On the other side, the 262's engines had to be overhauled every 4-5 hours, and it guzzled fuel that was in very short supply. However, it did actually engage in combat, and I think had over 500 kills. So in real-world terms, the 262 was a much more effective aircraft, but both planes were too little and too late.

Personally, I've found that the 3 main early jets tend to handle a bit like mini versions of 9.0s: P-80A: like a mini Sabre Meteor F.3: akin to the Mig 15bis, but with weaker wings in exchange for better roll Me 262A-1a: a bit of a hybrid between the Hunter F1 and the Canadair Sabres. While the least agile jet of the 7.0 jets, it still holds up better than the hunter can ever hope to, so I feel it's not accurate to consider it directly analogous to the Hunter
A bit historically unaccurate. Me262 was much better than Meteor in WW2 because the Meteors that were available in 1994 and begining of 1945 were not the Mk3 that is in game. Were MK. I and MK. 3 powered by Welland engines. Only later versions of MK. 3 were powered with Derwent engines. And the Welland engine power was... well, no comparison. If they put this engine in game Meteor will be 6.7
The Me262 engines were awfully fragile though. The Germans never fully understood jet engines. The Welland was a safe reliable test engine with 1700lb thrust the Jumo was a firework in comparison and with only an extra 200lb thrust.
