It's $100.00 plus you have to buy replacement tips. If you have a hard time flossing, always ripping or breaking the floss this is going to suck. You are going to go through those tips like crazy. So that can get more expensive. I use a Waterpik, it is cheaper and the tips are plastic so you don't have to replace them as often. I also like to fill my Waterpik with mouthwash to get a deep clean. Waterpiks are much better with braces or crowns because it's water, so it's not going to snag on anything in your mouth. Most Waterpiks have settings from 1 to 10. I never use it on full blast, I use it on 5 or 6. My Waterpik came with 6 different heads including a toothbrush head. They also have a portable waterpik, which I kept in my car. I love my waterpik, over the last 10 years, I've probably had 4 different types of waterpiks, they last a long time. The one I have right now I've had it for over 5 years. It also came with a travel-size Waterpik with case.
Yes Exactly right! 💯 water picks are the way to go!
I'm sure you make a valid point , but I'm not reading all of that
I use my water pik at 10. I have no bleeding.
@welbyncastro9169 Fr I need more pressure. If they had a level 12 that would be perfect 👌
@@lilwayne3131 😂😂😂😂😂 fair enough
I think i'll buy it since I can't afford dental insurance
Floss, waterpik, brush, listerine.
@Brutus-co9dt all good but skip listerine kills too much of the mouths good bacteria
Nhs also be like....
think the head is replaceable
regular floss works fine. Also this doesnt replace brushing
The vibration seems to mimic a saw-like motion, I wonder what the long term effects are relating to abrasive wear.
Less abrasive than trying to force the floss in there by hand I would guess. You have control over the force you put into it. When you're flossing regularly you also use a saw like motion. If anything the electric one will strengthen your gums much better than hand flossing due to the massaging and pressure on the gums.
my dentist told me when i asked about his pointy things that he uses in my mouth. Simply said it would be worse to let the plaque on your teeth. So i guess if you have good email you wont damage anything.
@@TehSlawif they die they die. lol jk I think your gums would get stronger can’t do much damage with a dental floss. I had a similar idea but mine used a metal wire that would have done some damage.
So does it advance the floss? Or are you using the same piece of floss for your whole mouth?
It looks like it's just the same piece of floss, which isn't what I was expecting. Does the same thing that's plackers do, and I Don't really think the vibration does anything
@@taylorh7155 maybe the vibration helps get it between your teeth. I have a heck of a time with that. It would be better if it advanced the floss
@@taylorh7155I do like the idea of a handle. In fact, a handle like this that would hold the regular floss sticks would be nice. Maybe I'll 3d print one
What happens when you get that caught under a crown or cap?
Riiipppp. 😱
That can happen with even traditional floss. It if ur concerned about that get a hydro flosser
This man is an absolute treasure
Would this work for braces too
thank you Dr. I am a RDH and am interested in new preventions
What would you choose between Waterpick and Flaus ? Or would you use both intermitently ?
And use a new head for every side of every crevasse? Because I'm not using the same piece for all my teeth
No blood??
if you floss regularly you don't bleed
This is my bread and butter
Would that be good or bad if you have periodontal disease
what is his glasses brand if anyone knows ? I want the same glass if anyone could help me with that
Isn't the thread a little too thick?
I'm a bit afraid of it
Help my gums got turned into gorefest after using this
So the replacement floss tips are a massive waste of plastic
My gums always bleed when i floss...
I could see that getting caught in my teeth and doing some real damage
Oooo, i bet that's really nice for those with disabilities. I have carpel tunnel and flossing is nearly impossible
Perfect for the elderly.
Any way for you to make a quick buck right?
Do you replace the head each time? Does it advance the floss so your not flossing bacteria with bacteria??
Dr Joseph has done several videos on the flosser last month and 3 months ago.

Hello from NYC
Is this a sponsored post? The description makes it seem so. If an expert is being paid for an opinion that needs to be made clear. If it's an honest opinion not influenced by money, that also needs to be made clear
Nice
My dentist advises using inter dental brushes as he says they are better than using floss.
use it in conjunction with traditional floss. interdental brushes can't really get underneath the gumline like floss does. i use both and my oral health is great now. (I'm not a dentist but i regularly talk with my dentist and orthodontist)
Must be rick Ross' floss. Cus he's a Baus!
YOU SOLD OUT! YOU KNOW THIS IS B-S
Dude has no gums
