4 years ago, on my trip to Thailand, I used Google Translate on my smart phone, over the years it has improved, I wonder how it compares with the T1? Free app versus a device that's over $200?
Yeah i see your point Richard , t was very handy having everything in 1 place like currency, pre recored messages and the easy two way chat. It would be even more perfect if they did release it as a app.

As for the device, yes I saw it on UA-cam with Keis the other day and fell in love with it, but at $363USD which includes delivery, that's 12,832 baht or $513AUD. You can buy a new mobile for that kind of money, so I will wait till all of the hype is over and watch the price come down to what I think it's worth, which is about half of that, which is about $260 AUD or 6,500 baht, remembering it's not a mobile, just a translator with a camera that you won't be using like you do a mobile.
