Dude, a buddies 90lb 9th grade daughter on an 85 stayed close but crashed in a soft berm. I then got in behind her and she yarded me. Had my mod'd 200SX WFO bro. FTW, a year ago I shielded her from the big bikes on the same track. No respect I tells ya
I’ve owned majority 4 strokes bikes all my life, i got the little guy a kx65 and tried it out myself, man it’s a little rocket ship. Went and got myself a yz125 the next week 😂. There’s something so satisfying and fun about pushing your limits on the track and being able to stay inside the powerband through even the tightest turns. I want a 250 next !!
I own a 450 and a 300, 450 rules the Mx track, but I’ll take my 300 for any type of off roading, the fun factor is off the charts and it requires less energy to ride. 450 off road feels more like a workout, kind of a buzz killer.
Is a 250 mx bike easier to ride than a 450? I have ridden a ktm 300, kx250 and my DT125. Never tried a 450. The KX250 feels way too agressive to ride offroad but its super fun to hit some dirt roads with alot of elevations or riding on ice and deep snow :) My DT125 though feels like it flows easily and the short 1st gear makes it a dream to go slowly and technical. I know its an old "learner" bike but damn shes gone wherever my friend has with his kx250 :D Only down on absolute power.
This comparison should be great. These TBIs are a little “newer” without having a carb or jetts. Also have features with electric start and minimal vibration.
Couldnt disagree more about the arm pump. Id say it was more about the rider being less relaxed on the 2 stroke. I had more arm pump on a 450 than a 300 2 stroke. The 450 was my personal bike.
Get the carbed MC250 smoker. All it needs is a STIC Super X carb, but only if you want power approaching 450 levels. I've got one on an old 200SX and it pulls new 250F's and a '98 KX250! I'm mixing it up with 450F's suddenly. To keep it in control, I run the slowest turn G2 throttle cam. On the tight trails it has unstoppable grunt and lofts the wheel in an instant. YAT No Choice boys and girls!
Problem with 4stroke riders is they don't have the rpms high enough to get the maximum power of the motor. Gotta have it right up at the top rpms to go.
Two strokes are faster! Four strokes weigh more, cost more, and need a larger CC displacement to compete. That is why the AMA will not let the pro riders ride a 250 two stroke against a 250 four stroke.
Yeah the performance with 4-strokes has caught up but not the finesse and useability, atleast yet :) If you look at snowmobile engines you can get 80-90hp out of a 500cc cylinder so its possible to make a 90hp 2-stroke nowadays with reliability too. Just cut a sled engine like Ducati did with their motard engine 😏
What do you have inside the T35 tires? Mousse? Tubes? I am curious what you like with the T35 front tire, which I have found to be a stiff carcass and not as good in rocky terrain. Do you use it in rocky trails also?
Ok first thing this is comparison between you guys the two stroke isnt slower you are! 1.do either of you understand how the 2 stroke operates your comparing it to a vacuum pump with a combustion impeller . A practical comparison in a different context riding a two stroke with expansion chamber. Or a 4 stroke single bike . they couldn't be more different one uses resonance with intake velocity, combustion scavenges the exhaust which is in resonance with the pipe and reentering the combustion chamber and supercharging in a sense but with harmonic resonance like brass instrument like a trumpet . Wich you don't blow into to make by sound by pursing your lips and make a dirt-bike sound into the horn resonating the horn. Exactly like a reed valve (thank you Kenny Robertsand a clever Nazi ) . The four-stroke, more fuel more air, higher intake velocity more power . Lighter stronger pistons lighter stronger everything= more power more speed less math like being a horse power DJ as opposed to a classically trained musician playing music. The instrument must be in tune and then played in tune . Riding a two-stroke will only ever make you a better racer you could train on a two-stroke and only ride a 4 stroke in the race and be forever better on race day . 2strokes are alive in harmony with the earth and its physics and build better riders and racers , I wonder why the entire world or moto has started whole racing series just for two strokes you ever remember seeing the 4 stroke Nats? because no one wants to see a vacuum pump race it sucks ....lol
The issue is really the reclassification of CC's vs 2stroke vs 4stroke; I raced in the 70's and 4 strokes weren't there... toooooooooooooooooooooo slow off corners and out into straights it takes a lot of time and energy to wake up all those valves/cams etc.. After riding a 450 MX bike for 10+ years racing and trail riding it, the day I bought my 300 2s I was so pissed at myself all I could think of is this bike is pure magic why did I waste all those years trying to force my 450 to do things it’s terrible at. The 300 is incredible and the new TBI version is mind blowing.
@@BrianLampright913 well shoot, maybe i do need to go to the orange side, i dont know what it is, maybe its the price i just have never wanted one... but maybe i need to
Technically yes, but not really, a 450 is faster than a 250 2 stroke, but the main factor of buying a bike is the price, the 250 is much cheaper and for the cheaper price, you can mod it to be faster
If a 250 2 stroke revved higher it could be compared to a 450. 2 strokes make power twice as often, but they normally don’t rev as high, so they don’t make double the power, but they could

2 strokes suck only guys who can't handle 4strokes ride them. And if 2strokes are so good why did AMA Supermotocross go to 4strokes only? Because 2strokes blow! If you like rebuilding your top-end every other season and replacing spark plugs all the time the buy a 2smoker. If you want reliability, torque, massive hillclimbing power without reving it to the moon then buy a 4stroke.
2 strokes make more torque, more horsepower, there easier to work on, cheaper to buy, fix, and maintain, don’t overheat as much, don’t require oil changes as much, don’t stall as easily, there lighter, don’t engine break, no timing chain to worry about, no valves and much more. This video has a fuel injected 2 stroke, you don’t have to change spark plugs, also tuning a carb properly can help prevent going through plugs
Your smoking big bowls of crack if you think 2smokers have more torque than a 4stroke! And everybody who rides 2smokers can't handle a 4stroke because their a bunch of wussies!
