Link for the micro RTF is in the description box. Will post another video soon of a tear down of the plane and weighing all the parts And I havent forgotten the 20mm EDF jet project!!!
Thanks! Last year I started building a micro sized FliteTest Spear flying wing, but never put any electronics in. I'll try throwing these electronics in it and see how it goes.
I still have one of the fuselages (minus the bottom wings, unfortunately), as well as one of the jets they did. Considering the micro RTFs that had come out prior to the AA, the AA was amazing lol
I bought the Air Hogs Aero Ace when it first came out and it was a lot of fun to fly. I had birds chasing after it which was fun as well. I still have it as a matter of fact. It needs one new motor which I have but have not completed the repairs yet. I bought the Eachine GA202 Mini Glider which is very close but you can swap batteries and fly it all day. It too is a lot of fun. Thanks for reminding me about the Aero Ace. I will try to fix it or build something new with it. Enjoyed the video!
@@microgliders Actually the only thing I have left is a broken remote actuator I got from BPHobbies...sold off nearly everything about 10 years ago, and been kicking myself for it for about 10 years now lol
@@_namenloses_4593 Yep, its balsa, and yep biplane is correct. Its called the Prairie Duster, I've made several of them over the years in various sizes and they all fly quite well. Great video, could also spend $70 for a vintage stick rtf ,inum elite, 3 channel , throttle, rudder, and elevator I've bout wore my inum out ,I've been considering a custom air frame build ,
I had the micro stick, wore it out and rebuilt it a few times, then got the inum , wasn't quite the performer as the micro stick even though it's basically the same , I just dug my inum out of storage after 3 years, ordered a battery but it's to small ,only 70mah ,just not enough so I ordered a new one earlier that's like 150 , but I'm seriously thinking of building something using all the electrical stuff from the inum ,make something a little faster
Very interesting. I am subscribed to be ready for this enew projects.......is there any that can bind with a Jumper T8SG transmistter so i do not need to use the toy transmistter.? Thanks for sharing
Thanks! I tried binding to my Spektrum TX just to try it, but that was a no-go, not sure about other frequency bands...couldnt hurt to try if you get one (if you do, let me know!).
Hi, sorry, didnt see your post till now. If you search that name in google you'll probably find some stores, pretty sure either Aliexpress or Banggood still carry them. I picked up a different one recently, I actually like the electronics in it more, I'll be posting a video about it eventually, but its this one: www.ebay.com/itm/KF606-2-4Ghz-2CH-EPP-Mini-Indoor-RC-Glider-Airplane-Built-in-Gyro-Yellow-or/392900400109?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
are you still looking for a transmitter? if you get the radiomaster tx16s you can bind to almost any reciever there is, plus it runs OpenTX so there are a lot of settings available starts pretty cheap, too i think the cheapest version without hall sensor gimbals starts sub $100
@@junkie842 If theyre a coaxial heli, the kind with two main rotors stacked on top of each other, those make for great electronics for micro RC planes. Theyre basically the same as the parts in this micro RTF, except you get a 3rd channel for elevator control. Only tricky part may be finding propellers for the motors, as the gearbox/rotor is usually a little too big for a micro model (but you can always scale the model up too, there should be more than enough thrust for something bigger).

Wow the old air hogs biplane! That was the first rc plane that I had success with. Even caught my first thermal and recovered it a half mile away!

I still have an old AeroAce too, great little plane.
awesome, this is what i did back in 2008, still purchase these from alix for electronics, great deal
Theyre a great deal indeed, I think I plunked down over 300 bucks for my first set of proper micro RC gear back in the day lol
and i bet you still use them all, i know i do :)

Can you replace one of the motor for an actuator?
Unfortunately, no, the actuator would be receiving power whenever throttle was applied, so it would always be deflected
