I’ve been told my whole life that the only way you can make it is to study for some degree and then work your 9-5 job, 5 days a week for some boss/company. Personally, I believe there’s more to life than that! My dream is to one day wake up my own boss working my own hours, but most importantly making money doing something I’m passionate about! And for me, that passion is photography and videography! Hands down I would love life if I was able to wake up and go do shoots for people, at parties, weddings, etc. but I don’t have any equipment apart from a camera, so when I make videos I just try and walk really slow so it doesn’t shake. I’d love to win the zhiyun crane plus because I know it will take my videography to the next level!!! I promise I’ll put it to good use and create some awesome content for people/ companies.
Hey Zed Pro Media. Thanks for the tutorial. I'm waiting for my Crane Plus to arrive today so I can start shooting for my new YT channel. Cool to see that you're in the GTA as well (I'm in the next town over). Cheers, Michael
I have a Sony a5000 that I'm using to create car feature videos and videos on car events and shooting at various tracks like Road Atlanta for Gridlife or grassroots drifting on tight, little karting tracks. Cars are a big part of my life and I want to show everyone the inner community without car culture itself, because if you feel alone like I once did and like cars, going out to events will change you life. The community is very welcoming and supportive. Just a huge, diverse group of people that like all sorts of different Motorsports and cars that just want to talk to you for days about it. That's what I want to show everyone. I'm currently saving to buy an a7iii and a gymbal, so a gifted gymbal would be a lifesaver!
How well does it deal with zoom lenses, let's say Fuji 10-24 or Sony 16-35? Can you balance it with the lens barrel extended halfway and the motors will compensate for the center of gravity difference on both ends of the zoom range? Thanks.
Hey! I would love to use the Crane for travel videos. When Fuji added 4k video to the X-Pro2 I was super excited. But I went out and shot and the footage was so shaky i don't think I can use it. This crane would really help me get started making videos! Thanks man!
i’ve been shooting photography for years but recently moved to LA and would love to start shooting more video. the crane would be amazing for music videos 🙏🏼
I started to film my friends special podcast episodes with iPhone x and DJI mobile 2 but ive been looking for a gimbal specially the Crane Plus for my Panasonic G9 since the price value is awsome. Keep on rocking!
I’m nearing taking the leap of doing photography/video full time. The Crane Plus would be a sweet addition to my setup as I don’t have a gimbal yet. Thanks!
I taking photos with two Fujifilm X-T2. One with 23f2 and on the other I have on 56 f1.2. Video is something I have never done and what I would love to learn. A gimball is something people have told me to get. Is this it? I would use this for music videos and b-roll footage.
I would use the gimbal to make super rad videos of my island and to start getting some paid video gigs. Photography has been my dream career since I was a kid and I decided this year that I’m putting all my energy into making it happen. I survived a bout with cancer this past year and it definitely made me realize that life is too short to not do what you love and for me that’s taking photos and making videos!
This is so perfect because I'm currently on a mission to add film making to my skill set! Actually have a couple of projects this year and this gimbal would be very very helpful!
I would really like the gimbal to do more travel videography. I really enjoy photography, but I have not tried much video since I don't have any stabilizers.
I wanted to know which gimbal o should get. I have the XT3 with the 10-24 and the 35 and 56mm lens. I wanted your opinion of I should get the Moza Air or the Zhiyun Plus? They both are going for $380 on eBay
I've never used a crane and I am looking for something new to challenge my skills! All the research i've done has lead me to believe that the Crane coul further my skills in cinimatogrophy and Broll!
I would love to try out some of the longer lenses on a gimbal. I am getting kind of tired of all the ultra-wide gimbal shots and am curious about how something like an 85mm would behave on a gimbal. Also, I am hoping to get into filming dance choreographies and having a gimbal would help a lot with that (imitating Tim Milgram's videos).
Hi Lee! I work on a Communication department in a company and we always work with a small budget and because of that we can't afford a gimbal. Videos have always been a major part of our company, because it's one the best ways to broadcast information in a more appealing way with a cinematic look. And since we do a lot of videos, we would love to have more movement in them, allowing us to improve our storytelling. In the end, the gimbal would allow us to do more and better! Thank you
I would use this gimbal for my “at a glance series”. It’s where I go and film something that you’d see almost everyday. Like a forest, a park, a street corner. Something that you see, but you maybe have never opened your eyes to it. It’s a way to view what may be mundane in a more beautiful way.
I would love using the crane as I'm just getting into video and it would add a ton of versitility to my wedding footage, and am also heading to Vietnam this summer and planning on starting a UA-cam with the highlight of that trip being the opener.
My plan for this gimbal is to use it to film cars since I take pictures and go to car shows and meets all the time. I want to shift from photography into cinematography and possibly do both! Thank you for the opportunity, I've been stuck choosing between this gimbal and the Moza Air
My little girl turned 1 year someone days ago and starts running around. The crane plus would be cool to balance my ultra wide angle setup I am using to when running infront of her in a low angle.
Sadly, I do not have a camera at this time other than my phone. I’m planning on buying a Sony a7 iii down the line but might have a better chance at purchasing an a6300 due to its price cut. I currently have a zhiyun smooth q for my smartphone and I have some small inkling to how great this company’s gimbal products can be.
Summer is coming up and I want to make 3 short videos that captures each of my kids passions. This would be an awesome resource to film these. Thanks for all the videos, always helpful info. 👊
Great video, very informative. I'm making the transition from photography to hybrid shooting and I've been thinking of investing in a good gimbal would help in many circumstances with production values (even if I mostly shoot videos for family and friends).
I’d like to use the gimbal with the a7iii to start doing videos for clients in the food/hospitality industry. Would definitely take this into a lot of kitchens. I’ve worked for several years doing photography for clients in Los Angeles, but really want to get into video and production.
Fist off, I’d like to start out by saying how much I appreciate your videos & style. As we all know, there’s plenty of channels out there to follow but few I can actually sync with & enjoy. I always take something away from you posts & videos that help me grow in the art of videography. I work full time for an ambulance service pulling 48hr shifts waaaaaay too often. My goal is to continue growing my study/interest of videography. At how I have mules, horses & many other animals. On my downtime I hit the Wilderness packing in on mules. With that & many more interests & loads of amazing life adventures under my belt, I think it’s time to channel my love & energy into a UA-cam channel. Gear reviews is on my map , as well. I am currently working with a Sony AX-100 to get my feet wet with. As well as a Atomos Shogun Inferno, Zoom H6, Shure & Rhode mics...etc. What’s left? I can’t make the kind of Magik I see in videos like yours without decent gimbals. I’m blown away how far they’ve come with today’s gimbals & am totally falling in love with the Zhiyun Cranes. Especially the Plus. Again, I appreciate all your hard work in your craft, here. Keep on keeping on. Until next time.... Smooth sailing O’Hally
Super dope! Id love to use this gimbal for a documentary I’m working on, interviewing former military and discussing the effects of ptsd and how that affects their everyday life.
I would love the crane plus since I shoot a lot of run and gun/vlog content and a stabilizer would really help for cinematic b-roll and improvement in quality
Found your channel from your 4,1 to 5,1 upgrade video. Thanks for that, it's been a great help. A great Gimbal that anyone would want in there kit. Someone's going to be very happy.
I would use this to shoot traveling videos where I’ll be showing aspects of the area I’m traveling that people don’t initially take notice to and miss. I need this because currently I work with my iPhone 7 Plus and a DJI Osmo where I hope to show more of what I’m capable of with better equipment and transition my hobby into a profession.
I really enjoy making documentary style videos w/ smooth b roll, 'walk and talk' interviews, all the good stuff. The crane would definitely be put into good use getting all the buttery footage I need!
1- done 2- done 3- i had Nikon cameras for last 10 years, great photo camera but zero support on video. I just (25 April) switched to Sony and can't stop filming videos, but 1 issue, videos is not stable, even with ibis. I would use use this gimbal to practice more in video to improve my image quality, planing to start vlogging and tech review channel :)
Currently been venturing out into the video world more and more often now. I currently have a 5dmk4 with a sigma 35 1.4 as my set up and would love a little more stability in my life! Good luck to everyone!
I've been interested in videography ever since. I just started making videos and I think a gimbal would greatly help and improve on how I create my future videos.
I just got an XH1 so I could start doing some video stuff. Nothing to crazy at the moment still trying to get the basics, but this would definitely help with my creativity! I got LumaFusion for my iPad after your tutorial and I love it so thanks for that!
Hi, Lee! I have really enjoyed watching your videos and they’ve been very helpful to me. I am a singer, songwriter, drama and music teacher full time as well. I’ve been trying to make my own videos on UA-cam more recently because I'm very interested in learning more about photography/videography. I stumbled upon your video about winning the Crane Plus! I’m a huge fan of the Crane 2! I bought one for my Canon 5d Mark IV set up and LOVE it because it produces such fantastic results! The whole set up is a little heavy for me and also for someone who helps me film though. I have recently bought the Panasonic GH5 & love the lightness of this camera/lens setup as well as the cinematic quality. I would really love to have the Crane Plus for this GH5 camera because it would be a much lighter set up for me. I hate to have to go buy another Crane even though I really want this one. When I saw this video, I was ecstatic! I thought that even though you will have many others trying, I had to also at least try. It would really enhance my music career here on UA-cam. Anyway, it is very kind of you to do this. I hope whoever you give it to will truly appreciate it! Blessings and thanks!
would use this to get more clients! Being able to provide much more stable footage is something that opens you up to a much wider range of jobs to take on.
For the zhuyin crane plus I would use this gimbal to add a bit of production value to my music videos my Panasonic g85 I cant rely too much on it onboard stabilization too much
Thanks for the great tutorial and break down. For some reason I cannot get my Zhyun Crane Plus to settle into the position yo got at 5min 44 seconds, what so ever. When I flip it like you it the back motor (Tilt motor?) is more or less in the way of the lens. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you! Hope all fam and friends are safe and healthy :)
I will like to use this for documenting my remaining times in Spain while I am studying here and use this as my primary video camera setup for future video editing and production! Thank you for this opportunity!
I’m looking to up my home video game. If I can master that I’d like to do some more when I go fishing. I’ve been using my drone but want to add a different angle. Thanks
I would use this gimbal to help create and tell my stories through film and video. Camera movement is such important part of storytelling and filmmaking, without it we couldn’t get certain points across. I Definitely feel like having a gimbal can help achieve these results.
I'm a dog photographer based out of Milton but serving the Toronto area and Peel. 95% of what I do is volunteer based I work with Save Our Scruff and Fetch and Releash and I would use the gimbal to shoot vignettes on harder to adopt dogs showing their more playful side.
I have a fujifilm XT2 and would definitely help with stabilization of my videos because camera doesn't have stabilization and also would love to get in to Cinema a lot more. thanks
I'd love to have one. I have a sony A6500, sony zeiss 24mm 1.8 and 55mm 1.8, Sony 85mm 1.8, and Rokinon 12mm 2.8. Plus Sony HVL-F45RM Flash and Comica Wireless Lav system. 4500 watts worth of stage lighting, the normal tripods, and backgrounds. The Zhiyun Crain Plus would definitely compliment this system.
I have a Canon Mark with a heavy lens , having trouble with the balance with that but works smoothly with smaller lense... do you think it will work with 24/70 lens?
The reason I would love the crane plus is because it would really help me with creating smooth cinematic shots for my new youtube channel. As well I have a 6D2 and its rather a larger camera, so having the bigger crane would definitely ensure steady footage. Lastly im in the beginner stages of my youtube channel/ career and having to spend so much money on gear is very difficult. Winning this gimbal would help alleviate some of those expenses. Thanks! and keep doing what you're doing!
This looks so cool! Many gimbals look too big to carry around a lot! I would love to use it for my videos about nature conservation and Sami culture here in Scandinavia! 😊 keep the videos coming! 👍
Hola Zed, I’ve been documenting my kinds life for some while now and would love to take my filming to the next level. I believe the gimbal will help me reach that smooth look that I’m looking for... and I think it would be a great present for my 50s!! Cheers!!
Trying to work on documentary stuff w/ jiu jitsu/mma gyms. I’ve always wanted to have one, though all of my budget for this yr is going into traveling 🙏🏼🤙🏼
Im just learning how to make cinematic videos. I would use this to document trips and events for friends, family, and my local university. Oh and my two dogs of course.
So when i use POV mode and change to lock mode the camera is still inclined. I need to much time to make it balance. I think if camera is inclined in POV mode it will be balance when i change another mode. So how i can make it balance after use POV mode?
Hey, just got an a6300 with 16-70 which I saved for for 2 years and would love to get a gimball too someday, hope the luck shines for me :) Love your videos!
I’ve been getting more into video lately and trying to improve my skills there in addition to just photography and I’d use this along with my X-T2 for some nice stable footage!
I would love this set up! I would love to begin making home videos for my family!!! I have 4 kids, and would love to make home movies with their years growing up. So they could appreciate them when they’re older!! I currently have a Nikon but I shoot portraits as often as I can.
Crane plus would be a great addition as I have the sony a6300 and bought a power zoom lens (18-105) so that I could use it on a gimbal but I'm not able to afford one. It would help me make better travel and short films and finally help me up my cinematography game and get some paid gigs hopefully.
Hey, Im an aspiring photographer and i have just started trying to get more into video since i do a lot of traveling! i want to make travel videos/product videos to start to make a living and the zhiyun gimbal would just be an easier way to upgrade my content!
I plan to add weekly vlogs to my channel and feel this would be such a perfect fit! I live in San Antonio that has a thriving art and growing music community that I would love capturing. The smoothness of the crane would be fantastic for gallery shots, sweeping by bands shots! I also want to use it for "haunted location" videos to add that extra clean look to when revealing the rooms, I'd be walking like a ninja during it anyway! :P Awesome video and thanks for expanding my mind on ideas. Not only it is informative, but also motivational!
Hey Chelly, I went to SA for the first time last year, I have some great friends there. I’m a music producer and composer and I’d love to hear what you think are some great music venues or artists I should know about…
what is the point that some people are saying that you have to connect the gimbal to the phone by a wire, but the issue is that it needs a mini usb and that is the only place to plug an external mic in, is my gimbal useless due to this reaaon? btw I am trying to get up a Zhiyun Crane Plus 3-axis gimbal and a Canon Eos Rebel T6, I am so completely confused because some videos and articles say it has to be connected to each other, and then other say it doesnt, I honestly dont even know what the point of plugging the gimbal into the camera. Once I have the gimbal in my hand, I am hoping that I have more luck at figuring what the point in that wire is, because I have to have my external mic, and I cant find a splitter that has a mini USB on on end and then the other end has a 3.5mm mic jack and then a mini hdmi as part of the splitter
I would love this gimbal because I’m using a panasonic g7 on a knockoff steadicam. I can get really smooth footage that I’m happy with! But the setup has to be SO heavy in order for it to be stable, so I have a cage, a top handle, and an external battery😂. All of this extra stuff could be terminated if I had a 3-axis gimbal, and that would be 👌🏼

I want to invest in a gimbal
between weebil s / crane plus
What do you recommend?

I would use this gymbal for pan shots/steady shots in filmmaking, for filming sports, or just videography in general.
Been using my xt2 mainly for photography and I want to step my video game with the new 4.0 firmware. A gimbal would also help.
I’m nearing taking the leap of doing photography/video full time. The Crane Plus would be a sweet addition to my setup as I don’t have a gimbal yet. Thanks!
Hey Zed! I will use the gimbal to make super cinematic shots and create a short film.hopefully building up to a full length film

Hi Lee, have not tried much video, but with this gimbal it would give a good reason to do more video with my X-T2. Enjoy your quality videos !
Do you connect the gimbal to anything like the camera? I see that there are two USB ports on it.
Wow! It is so steady, I would use it for my own music videos and some dope camera movements !
Hi, zed I have a question. Can you do zoom throw the gimbal. ? My cam is the Sony alpha a6000. Thanks
Can It shoot a 360 inception like rotation as it can be done easily on Ronin S?
I've never used a crane and I am looking for something new to challenge my skills! All the research i've done has lead me to believe that the Crane coul further my skills in cinimatogrophy and Broll!
Need to replace my Crane V2 as I think I am reaching the limits in term of weight .. (Sony A7III + 16-35 + mic)

OMG! If i had this gimbal, I would use it to make CRAZY cinematic sequences. So pumped and excited

My little girl turned 1 year someone days ago and starts running around. The crane plus would be cool to balance my ultra wide angle setup I am using to when running infront of her in a low angle.

I would use the crane plus to make smooth videos while I go hiking in the Alps. The crane plus would be great because it's not too bulky.
Very helpful video for those who don't have a gimbal (like myself). The benefits of having one opens the door to unique story telling. Thank you.
Hey bro, I used my Crane plus with a Panasonic GH4 and I can see a little handshaking when I walk. Could be that I am setting bad the gimbal?
I would love to use a gimbal to add some production value on more narrative or docu-style videos I'm making.
I can tell you that lens makes the setup too front heavy. you are better off upgrading to the Crane 2 which has a heavier payload.
I'd use it for stabilized shots of walk through tours of areas I visit on the Sony a6500.
I would use this gimbal in an upcoming short film I’m working on with my brother to add more cinematic and dynamic shots!
Took me 10 minutes to set my gimbal up after watching this video. Good looks bro! you locked me in for another gig!
Dope!
Hola Zed, I’ve been documenting my kinds life for some while now and would love to take my filming to the next level. I believe the gimbal will help me reach that smooth look that I’m looking for... and I think it would be a great present for my 50s!! Cheers!!
hi bro!! A question! What follow focus recomend for zhiyun crane plus? Thanks
I would like to use it with my Fuji XT2 and 16mm to do events. Since handheld isn't great.
1. My crane app just crashes instantly hence can’t change settings?
2. My videos are jittery! What setting will stop this? Yhx
Hi I would like to use the crane plus with my Panasonic gh5s for independent filmmaking. It would help me immensely. Thanks
I would love this set up! I would love to begin making home videos for my family!!! I have 4 kids, and would love to make home movies with their years growing up. So they could appreciate them when they’re older!! I currently have a Nikon but I shoot portraits as often as I can.
Thanks for the tips. I'm having fun using mines
Bro, you did one hell of a job on the setup! Perfect! There’s power in simplicity.
Awesome video and thanks for expanding my mind on ideas. Not only it is informative, but also motivational!
Hey Chelly, I went to SA for the first time last year, I have some great friends there. I’m a music producer and composer and I’d love to hear what you think are some great music venues or artists I should know about…
I'm currently doing youth baseball and local festivals and trying to expand photo gigs by adding video as an option.
I just started shooting video, and I would use it for automotive and daily stuff. Also love your work.
what is the point that some people are saying that you have to connect the gimbal to the phone by a wire, but the issue is that it needs a mini usb and that is the only place to plug an external mic in, is my gimbal useless due to this reaaon? btw I am trying to get up a Zhiyun Crane Plus 3-axis gimbal and a Canon Eos Rebel T6, I am so completely confused because some videos and articles say it has to be connected to each other, and then other say it doesnt, I honestly dont even know what the point of plugging the gimbal into the camera.
I’m producing a short film with a dancer. A lot of quick movements that need steady tracking. This would be a wonderful addition to use.
I would love this gimbal because I’m using a panasonic g7 on a knockoff steadicam. I can get really smooth footage that I’m happy with! But the setup has to be SO heavy in order for it to be stable, so I have a cage, a top handle, and an external battery😂. All of this extra stuff could be terminated if I had a 3-axis gimbal, and that would be 👌🏼
Nice video, been looking at the crane for a while! I would love to have one.
I have the g85 and the 25mm lens. I slid it forward and the camera is still kinda pointing up. Is the lens too light?
Hey may I know if nikon d7000 is compatible with zhiyun crane plus?
I have a Canon rebel t7i with a 18-55 mm lens, will it work?
Great video, I would use to start using all kind off video, but primarily I would use to shoot b-roll
