Let’s slow stitch together, gather up all those little fabric scraps. It’s so relaxing no right or wrong, great for beginners or those that have stitched for years.
These whimsical buttons are great for journals both paper or fabric. I have made one of mine into a brooch too.

A call goes out on Twitter, come and help yourself, we are closing and it’s all going to landfill. Creatives flocked and we chatted companionably whilst filling our shopping trolleys. Meanwhile an artist in China heard and brought all the remaining stock. In true Raiders of the lost Ark style they were crated up. I wonder if he ever did make his button installation !!

I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I think think that was a grand idea to make large buttons. Wearing it as a Broach is a good idea and you could put it on a snippet roll or a journal! It’s all in the enjoyment of making them. I am going to make one and am really looking forward to it. I don’t think you saw, but Flo has one of your buttons on her had. So lovely it looks. I so enjoy seeing Freddie and when your son came in n and you two started talking and laughing and giggling. Oh my, that really brightens my day. There is so much love in your home. Thank you so much for the visit today. I really look forward to our next visit. Oh and I love your button tin. Give Freddie a pat for me.

You have so much fun with your family period it just does my heart good . And I love your buttons I really do think that if you made them smaller they actually could work as buttons . I am going to make a small one and see if I can use it somehow in my journal

Wonderful. You may attach your fabric bottoms on a cord and do a necklace. I did with real bottoms but every botton is expensive!

The pink flowers are Nerine or Jersey Lillies they are a bulb that doesn’t like to be disturbed, the leave come out in Summer and die back and they flower in November, the frost has come and yesterday the flowers were gone so just captured them in time. Just popping in to say hello and also to say that I love this process video. I’ve been cross stitching some Christmas ornaments the past week whilst listening to some Christmas music to get me in the mood! It’s turning cooler this week in Brittany but I hear it’s going to be a LOT colder in the UK. So nice to see Freddie and to know your boys are back home safely and bearing gifts … yummy! the glaciers of NZ are just down the way from my place.. Our local river is a glacial blue. A bit spoilt scenery wise here.
Oh Phillipa how wonderful, the boys could not get over the colour of the glacier lakes. They stayed when they could in air-b-and b’s by lakesides or by the sea. Water is so amazingly relaxing. Wonderful to meet you. 🩵

Still very tired but thats normal because I'm disabled by rheumatism. I don’t have the best imagination. I love the looks of these buttons but what do we do with them? Sorry.
Evie oh thank you so much, I made one into a brooch and I will put one in my fabric journal, may even make a gaint button hole. If you do a paper journal or junk journal I think they would make such a cute little pocket to tuck a card into, adding a little texture to the page, it’s fun to use fabric and paper together. I wonder if anyone else will have more idea.

perfect timing! exciting video🩷 they remind me of my childhood. My mom would stitch over and over on test strips like denim cut offs, and they became this way in texture.
Those big wood buttons must be decorative only and not functional!
