Let do some gentle stiching together and with a cuppa. I am going to put these stars in the tree we call ‘ the giving tree ‘ in our local park.

What a good idea to wrap thread around a clothes peg! That way you can peg the end and always know where it is!

Wow I'm so glad I found "slow stitching." It's so forgiving and unique. Since my granddaughter took up crochet all my pretty scissors are missing hahaha.

It was so good to see the giving tree one more time in 2023! It truly looked so bright and cheery with the stars dangling for the passerbys to admire and appreciate.

I love your scrappy stars Janet, I have been enjoying stitching them this week⭐. I can just imagine the delight in peoples faces when they come across the giving tree, such a lovely way to inspire and lifts peoples spirits.🌠 I think the scrappy covered fleece you use is a magic scrappy fabric fleece, I wonder how many whimsical fabric creations it has helped create✨🪡. I loved the little apothecary building next to your shimmering thread, that would make a nice haberdashery shop. 🪡🤔😊🧵
Maria so glad you have been gently relaxing and sewing. With a little whimsy and fairy dust we could fit right into that Apothecary shop, you and I standing behind the counter, hundreds of little wooden draws spilling shiny treasures. Glass bottles filled with buttons in the led light windows. ✨ oh what fun it would be.

It was a wonderful time out with you and Freddie to visit The Giving Tree.....such a treasured place I see Flo is working her little fairy wings to the wire scooping up all the scraps of fabric and almost at the wink of of an eye had completed her imaginative whimsical star . That was a cute little mushroom fairy that your friend had was the fairy cloth or paper..I have never seen a cloth fairy so thats why Im asking ...I know they are probably out there ...if you can find out what fabric it came off of...love to make one....
Linda yes Julia’s mushroom fairy is so cute. She made the mushroom from fabrics and the little fairy is printed on a fabric from her stash. If you can’t find that fabric how about stamping a fairy onto plain fabric ? Happy creating 🧚🏼
