  • Not your typical shank lesson!
When you have the shanks going, it is mentally traumatizing. I am sure you have seen same ol drills all over the internet to fix the shank. Boring! Right? Want to know a better way to fix the shanks? I will take you through Aimee Cho style and show you a complete new approach to fixing the shank. It is as simple as doing the 4-step drill.
Practice & become familiar with the new club face orientation, swing plane, hand & body motions! In the “Shank Part 2” lesson, I will show you how to use the body as main control and get rid of the shank 100%

I have to say I’ve been playing golf for over twenty years. I have never come across anyone who can put so much detail in such a simple way to understand. You truly have an amazing gift Aimee. From one very happy golfer thank you.

I have been playing for around 20-years and I have barely improved despite many lessons, though at one point I did get to a 14 handicap. I have been watching Aimee's instruction for a week or so and during that time I have gained so much in terms of really understanding the swing by simply going back to basics and watching her basic lessons. Everything is so clearly well-explained and demonstrated. Its actually fun listening and learning with her. This is not a lady teaching ladies how to play the game, she is teaching all of us. With the amount of subscribers and views that she receives she is head and shoulders above the majority of instructors online.

Thankyou so much Aimee. You have saved my game. When I first started to watch your video's, I laughed, because its everything I do. No one has ever explained things the way you do. Now I love golf again. I think you are the best. Cheers from New Zealand

You nailed it both are the reasons why I shank. When I practice too much on the range or body is tired I started to shank right and I cannot get things back in sync. These actually cause my grip to be tighter and making things worse. Now I just need to follow your drills and hopefully I can enjoy shank free golf forever! Thank you Aimee!

I’m a 6 handicap just starting to play regularly again after a decade of very little golf. I have an intermittent shank that has plagued me and has caused other problems like over the top hooks to prevent the shank. I’ve been so frustrated for months. I was on the range shanking ball after ball and grabbed my phone and found your video. Not only did it fix my shank, the 4 step drill gives me a great swing thought for taking the club back. I was killing my irons. Thank you for saving my sanity.

6 handicaps almost never shank. Hell, 21 handicaps don't even shank much.

Great instructional video. I don’t think any of the other shank videos I’ve watched have explained or emphasized what the hand positions should be at various points in the swing. Very helpful! I’m ready for Part 2. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️

This video saved my golfing life. I have been struggling on and off for a long time to completely rid myself of the unmentionables. This is a must watch for anybody with a flat swing that tends to go back inside early on the takeaway and then has to go over the top and out of the swing plane on downswing and so will always bring the heel (shank) into play. Thank you so much, Aimee. Chris

I have been playing golf for over 30 years and have always had inconsistent contact with my irons. Lately I have been shanking the ball a lot, a problem which seemed to come out of nowhere. I spent a couple of hours watching PGA professional videos on UA-cam regarding “instant shank cures” and none seemed particularly compelling. Then I watched this video and thought this takeaway/backswing drill was interesting - I have never seen this four-step approach before. I did the drills on the range and it completely changed my swing in a very simple way. I haven’t shanked a ball since and my club face is now square at impact. I am compressing the ball at impact and feel like my swing plane is consistent and correct. Highly recommend this four-step approach.

BRAVO! I've been fighting this stinking shank to the point where every other ball at the driving range was a snap slice (I'm a righty.) After studying this video... not one shank in a large bucket of balls. I feel like my old self again. I don't know where that handsy, flippy, inside move came from, but now I just need to hit a few more buckets to fully eradicate it. Great, great tip. I've actually rediscovered the TOE of my club again, and the strike pattern has returned to the center of the club face. This is SOOOO much better than all of the other stuff out there about early release, lack of eye hand coordination, blah, blah, blah.

Please note this drill requires a slight upright stand. In other words it cannot be done with too much bend. Thank you Aimee. With this drill I almost break 80. I like your coaching because it suits me and you don't hold back anything. Keep it going 👍

Thanks Aimee..Awesome video! This drill really helped me greatly and has cured my shanks and slices within one trip to the golf range..I've watched many videos out there on how to cure my shank n slices and your video 4 step process has was the best and I followed both vids and within about 10 swings I saw major improvements and will recommend you to others..once again thanks for your help and a new sub..cheers!:)

Never thought of performing a golf drill using the right hand. I seemed better at the driving range trying this last night, yes I am in the shanking club although I hope soon to be an ex-member. I like this drill because it is so simple. Thank you Aimee.

I got another tip that worked for me, we are holding a stick but trying to get something 2 inches away from the bottom of the stick (the centre of the club face in relation to end of shaft) to strike the ball. When setting up look at the ferrule (black plastic bit on end of shaft) and use that as a reference and not the middle of the clubface

Thank you so much for this lesson. I have tried all the traditional shank 'fixes': focussing on the rear of the ball, head cover/ ball basket drills but none have worked. Following your right hand drill has it sorted. At the top of the backswing, my right hand was not in the 'plate' position. Thank you!!
