I'm planning on starting a pressure washing business soon but I am a cautious guy who tends to move carefully. I would hate to dive into something and not know what I'm doing. I understand I will make mistakes, but I am trying to have those mistakes be minimal. So far I've watched dozens of videos like yours and this was one of the most informative. Also, I'm from FL but central FL so I won't take any of your customers!

What percentage would you use on a very dirty barrel tile roof? Here in my area most of the houses have barrel tile roofs.
Very dirty.. 5-6%. Depending on gutters / overspray maybe a few coats of 3-4%

Some vegetation will burn even with the way your doing it. Hard to not burn anything with straight chems even with a sprayer and you know that. You CAN pressure clean with chems that arent to strong and then use a hover with LOW pressure. You just gotta know how to do it without ruining the roof. I been doing it for over 20 yrs with no complaints. To many people doing softwash are spreading miss information. Both ways can cause issues, if your a professional you can do it right.
What do you mix your SH with to to delute it or to make it that it won’t go drop down to fast when applying to the roof
You dilute it with water and some add a surfactant.
what is the avg cost per sq ft you charge for a barrel roof ?
Depends on your areas. Ranges drastically from state to state but south FL is anywhere from 0.18 - 0.30 ish.
How long does a typical roof wash last before it needs to be cleaned again?
In my area (FL), roughly 2 years
I’m here in Homestead Florida and I’m getting into the pressure washing and soft washing business to go along with my Mobile Sandblasting business (Blast Away The Past) how much does it you normally cost you in bleach and surfactant per job say on a 2000 square-foot home
Depending on a few factors I’d say roughly $50-$80in chem. / surfactant.

Which surfactant u use? I can’t make my mix to stick on tile roof
It’s called cherry Bomb but it’s only sold locally to me. It’s very similar to apple wash. Honestly for barrel tile roof , no surfactant is going to make it stick very well. It helps but you’re still going to have crazy run off.
Weird how different USA and EU is, we all use pressure too clean roofs. We do have alot more thick ass moss sitting on the roofs.

Soft wash became a thing because America has heaps of asphalt tiles and it's the only way, now they are doing it on everything... Lichen and heavy moss you can kill with bleach, but not remove. You have to add pressure

Try to get between 4% and 5 %

Haha absolutely. I use deck boots. Good for water proof and very grippy imo.
