basically, the best way to keep a conversation going is to deconstruct all there sentences in to thing you can ask her about. making the illusion that you have lots to talk about.

The Josh Speaks I stress over the miniscule of things.
For example, this is something to happen to me:
I sit in the back of the room and I'm going to throw a piece of paper away. First, I wait anxiously to throw it away. Then wait for someone else to throw something away to know it's acceptable. Then wait so I doesn't feel like I'm copying. And trying not to stumble because I think everyone is watching me. Then feeling really proud of THROWING AWAY PAPER . :V

If you're in a situation where you have no choice but to interact with them, try to keep any and all interaction focused on the work and nothing but the work. That's the most you can do other than asking your teacher to assign you to a different block if you can.

If she was having a rough time she would actually be treating her friends the same way as me. But that's not even happening. She is all playful and happy with her friend.
