Some of you just dont know how convenient it is to have a primer on airbrush that you dont need to disassemble to clean after every use. Thats the main reason i have a Syphon airbrushe.

I think that works very well. But I think in part it’s your experience with the thinning of the paints using a really great paint you gave that device the best of the best to use with your skill of knowing what paint would really go through five needle in a nice way, I think people would probably struggle more with paint or thicker paint and myself included. I know that’s one of my problems is knowing how to thin my paint when painting but as always a proud patriot member supporting the channel. Be well be you

I have one of those portable airbrushes and it works fairly well. It’s nowhere near as good as a proper compressor but it suffices. One of my complaints about it is the compressor isn’t as powerful as I’d like but this airbrush seems to have plenty of power. I’m actually really impressed. Even though it doesn’t look like much it really performs. Great find!

That could be super useful for folks who only have a small space for their kit building and no room for a compressor setup. If you do spray a car please choose a color with metal flake, I'm curious to see if it plays nice with those.

I went and bought one of these spray guns. First tried it with an acrylic black primer thinned like I do for a conventional airbrush. It works for about 15 seconds then stops. Have to continually clean the needle. Upped the amount of thinner and now getting better results. Then tried with "Mister Surfacer" 1500 Thinned 1:3. Works great! Very pleased with the results. Thanks for the heads up for this product.

    anyway for all asking:
bottles, I got 30x 100ml bottles with caps for £14 uk from japchet on amazon
nozzles are as someone else said luer lock 21g blunt tip 15mm, 25mm total length, i got all metal ones which fit fine. you must get the BLUNT tip ones. also from amazon uk.
tubing is just silicone tubing 3mm inner diameter (ID) and 4mm outer diameter (OD) and cut to required length depending on bottle size. amazon uk
i'm pretty sure amazon us also have they same as they are mostly generic products.

As you said there's no description of the differences between the water based and the oil based versions. Since I'm not very experienced with air brushing, do you have any input on the level 1 compared to level 3? Best I can find is about darkness of spray tan levels. Thanks either way.

    • @albertko1

The difference between the water vs oil is the bottle material. PA bottles for oil based. If we can find the appropriate bottles for those needles, it could make it quite convenient.

Looks like a nice tool. Will be interested in a long time test, if you still like it after it has a few hours on it.
"Amazon" shipping has really gone down hill, poorly packed boxes, broken produce, and slower than they used to be (I watch the tracking and wonder how some package wonder back and forth between two towns, like it was stuck on the wrong truck.)
The Paasche H is great when you need to spray a lot primer or the same color paint. They are inexpensive, have several size bottles available, easy and quick to clean and have 3 sizes of nozzles available for different viscosities of paint. Bottles of paint can by stored for a day or two by capping the feed tube and tape over the vent hole.

You described it very well. A more convenient spray can. And that's why i think it's too expensive for what it offers. I mean, if you already have a decent setup (compressor, booth etc) it would be better buying a dirt cheap airbrush of this style and call it a day. They're perfect for priming
The small wings did lose some detail, maybe you missed it in your excitement, and the shield doesn't really look very....crisp after painting. But maybe it's just me being too picky. I do have an eye for detail and finesse.
But i do see it's value for thins other than scale modeling. Like touching up paint on vehicles, appliances or painting stuff in general that don't require detail.

I would venture a guess, there's nothing 'special' about it. You just need a bottle with the same thread/ size and one not so big it's too heavy or doesn't fit. Look for a supplier of bottles for folks that make essential oils, or scent sprays and tinctures. They come in both glass and soft and hard plastic. Clear and colored. And lots of sizes. If you have a local store that does plastics/epoxies and supplies, my local shop has tons of bottles, glass and plastic. Some marine supply places have stuff like this too, for boat builders/repairs. Find the size you need and compare the price for the same on amazon or wherever. Plus they usually come with lids or sell them extra. Same type places often have the needle tips as well and in different needle sizes/gauges.

@@barbatosrex9473 Thanks, I spent some time looking for extra caps.
I identified the cap type, they are 20-410 threads and with a luer lock.
I'm 95% sure they are 20-410, and 5% they are the next size down 18-410

Does that specific unit you got have any indications of a brand or model# or a serial# or anything like that? There's several listed on Amz (Amz Canada for me) and they are all listed as "Generic" but of course vary from $30 to $100 bucks, but all pretty much look the same.
    Thanks!

The price has dropped. For the Level 1 oil based paint, it's now 33.49 and for the level 3 water based paints, it's now 43.59. Probably the seals in the needle is the difference would be my guess. Thanks for the review.

Rex, i know your mostly a car/gunpla guy, but have you ever thought about making military colors for us aircraft/armor guys? Just wondering, would love to support your new paint line but i only do military kits and so most of these bright colors (even though they look great) wouldn't be of much use to me.

Hey that is cool, because I do military aircraft and vehicles as well as some star wars vehicles. So far I've bought the metal colors for use on exhaust nozzles for jet aircraft and the star wars models. Would love to see the military colors.
