    Cool. You should make a video about filling one of them garden weed sprayers with paint. You can do like 6 foot flare tags with them 😂

    I'm honestly surprised that there aren't more refillable cans like this out there. Super stoked. Looks awesome and it's super cheap. You could make a low pressure can without paying a ton of money.

      There are though they’re just called spot sprayers / break cleaners / a couple other things, they’re all over the place.

      Sure Shot is the original. I've been in the Auto Bosy industry for 30 yrs and every shop I've been in always had several They come in a variety of colors and they have replaceable brass spray nozzles and even rebuild kits for the wear parts.. I think they run around $60-$75 bucks.
      Double what they were when I 1st bought one.

    can you use it to just spray air?

  • @mouija1450
    @mouija1450 5 років тому +4

    You can make a really janky version of this with a Gatorade bottle, sawing a valve off a can, gluing it to the screw on cap, punching a hole in the side of the bottle and epoxying a bike tube valve in there. It lasts for a day of painting. Maybe two or three if you get lucky.
    It's cool to see a more professional version. Definitely worth $25 if you have a lot of old Krylon and Rusto colors that don't spray anymore and want to get that paint onto a wall or train.
    Don't put house paint through a spray valve. It's too dense to spray properly. The best you're going to get is a weak piss stream out of a blaster cap. You have to water it down so much that it's worse than Krylon yellow.

    3:40 What I always do in a case like this is to use a valve-core-removal tool to partially unscrew the valve-core (although this often does not actually let much of the air out because the spring-loaded valve-core still seals until it is unscrewed completely, so I hold the tool firmly "inwards" as I gingerly unscrew the core so that the core won;'t come flying out and hit my eye or get lost; that way, I can let the air out more slowly even with the valve core actually unscrewed all the way) and let out the pressure safely/gradually before opening the can all the way.

    I've been waiting for a review for this thing for a good while. Thanks for posting!
    I'd love to see it used with different caps/tips, and have a comparison to using the same caps on the original cans. Also, perhaps what difference the pressure makes. (Since they sell low pressure and high pressure cans). I'm interested in using it with acrylic (Montana) paints, so maybe there's a semi-non-toxic solution to use indoors? thanks for a great channel and great reviews.

      One4all works for that. I was in a hobby store and looking through the paints and one said it can be used as a glaze and noticed it was water based. I went home took some glassware and applied all4one, and popped it in the oven. It worked and held up very well. I could scratch it off with my finger nail so I took a razor to it. It took a fair amount of effort to get it off.

    I tried aerosol paint mix from other spray paint cans & it did not work at its standard thickness. don't want to thin the paint more, just want it to mod it to work like a spray paint can with atomization. thorough testing but will see what a regular paint can does with a refill Schrader valve.
