I feel kinda sorry for Ian in a way just sometimes. He was only trying to speak up on Bobby’s behalf. And he was right. What Freddie and Anna did behind Bobby’s back was wrong and disloyal. Ok, fine, maybe it was wrong announcing it to the whole Vic like that. That may have been going to far there. And I know Ian can be a right git sometimes. But, nothing ever goes right for Ian and he’s always getting hit, punched, attacked, bullied, threatened or assaulted. How many times has Ian publicly been humiliated? I see why he’s unpopular. But maybe the Eastenders script writers need to cut him some slack. They always pin all the bad luck and public humiliation on Ian. 😁 And sometimes Phil can be a right git took to be fair. Ben is following n his father’s footsteps and also becoming a right git sometimes too.
The scriptwriters work for the BBC. In other words,they are extreme, virtue-signalling wokeists. Ian did nothing wrong here, but as demonstrated by the time Eve punched Zack and Martin, Stacey abused the delivery driver and threw her drink at Kheerat, and many,many other occasions that happen in nearly every episode, female violence against men is a matter of comedy for these buffoons.
ian is an idiot with phil from day 1. He knows what phil does to people who cross him and yet still continued to cross him/screw him over. Yeah phil is a bully and a thug at times but ian had most of it coming.

Bobby is slowly becoming a control freak, Anna owes him absolutely nothing as she's never showed any interest in him and made it clear that she likes him as a friend several times by how awkward she was every time they were alone but he's the one who keeps persisting and pushing her to the point where she lashed out at him and told him quite clear that she doesn't reciprocate his feelings!!
Even though this scene is comedy gold i hate the double standards for hitting the opposite sex are in soaps. If a woman hits a man shes strong and empowered. If a man hits a woman hes an abusive pig!!. Very double standards. If you hit someone, it doesnt matter if you are man, woman, parent or child. EXPECT TO BE HIT BACK!!.
