The aluminum cans are culprit. Thin aluminum like that tends to be somewhat porous and the soda/beer, etc tends to evaporate. I have found 6-packs where some, or all, have had varying degrees of emptiness and some or all of the fizz is gone. I am assuming that yours still had some fizz and it had pressure after you shook the can. The metal seems to let more fizz or soda escape when the metal is thinner due to the poured casting being porous. This porosity is why you also see soda on the bottom of the can. If I am wrong, we can guess that the bottom seal is not the best at times. However, I have had sticky tops too, but that could have been residue from the bottoms of stacked cans. You're pretty intelligent. What do you think?
It was diet soda so no sticky. That's a good thing. Still not sure how soda got out. I'd only had them a couple of days. Something to do with the jostling. Campers bounce a lot!
Transportation from canner/bottler to warehouse, to distributor, to store, to shelf, to home, and down the road in the bouncy camper. There's a lot going on before you open it. We are greatly looking forward to seeing your travels. Wife and I are glad to see Joyce back in the videos. Rock on and have a great camping season.
Good to see you and Joyce again. 😊
