    Loved this simple no welding build, would you ever consider sharing the plans for this build so that it can be used by your viewers please?

  • @archangel20031

    Also, if you have to make a C shaped slot around a pivot point, get a cheap end mill the same size as the drill bit, punch through the part making the first hole, then clamp the pivot bolt in a vice with the part in question installed, then install the end mill and slowly rotate the part using the pivot point as the pivot and the end mill will cut the slot perfectly as the pivot point was used to cut the slot.
    It's much cleaner than drilling a bunch of holes that might not be perfectly aligned then using a file for the next hour.

    If you designed it or not, is a great great job.!..I couldn't even imagine me where you were to. Never I am going to make such animal.!..but believe me I enjoyed a lot just watching you working, and some things I took of your experience. My shop is very small, and so is my experience, my tools, my money, very good job.!..Congratulations.!!

    Hi, watching you bend a piece of black metal with holes in it reminds me of a basic principle of blacksmithing. The steel needs to be cherry red to manipulate, it then bends like a roll of butter. You can then lightly tap and make almost any shape you like.
    Like your build though, makes it within the reach of someone like me without a large shed full of machines.

    And just 30 seconds in, A word of advice.
    Get your self, or invest in (even piece by piece as you replace broken ones), Gun Taps, because you can just turn the drill press on at it's slowest speed setting and as the name implies, shoot right through the hole leaving perfect threads in seconds rather than futz around with channel locks tearing up your drill chuck. I'm lucky to have a 6 foot tall, late 1800's automatic tapper that has an automatic reverse and enough play as to not strip the threads when reversing.

      드라이브 휠과 트랙킹 휠에 약간의 크라운(경사각)을 주었어요
      그러면 밸트의 트랙 저정이 조금 쉬워요~^^
      건강잘 챙기시고,,, 참 물난리가 났던데 작업장 피해 없었는지요?

    • @taejinlee5556
      @taejinlee5556 7 років тому

      Young Je 밴드쏘의 crown 모양 휠과 같은 원리였네요~
      제가 쓰고있는 소형벨트샌더 페이퍼가 사용하다보면 조금씩 한쪽으로 치우치는 경향이 있어 신경이 쓰였거든요^^;
      완전 부러운 샌더머신이예요~~
      제 작업실이 강옆이라 비올때 살짝 걱정되기는 해도 강폭이 워낙 넓어서 아직 수해를 입은적이 없어요~
      그나저나 이제는 한국도 기후가 바뀌어서 가끔 동남아처럼 느껴질때가 많아요...올해는 국지성호우 때문에 제법 피해가 있네요.
      무더운날씨에 건강 잘 챙기시고~
      감사합니다^^

    • @YoungJe
      @YoungJe  7 років тому

      그런면도 있구,또 밴드쏘는 날을 보호하는 측면도 있어요~
      2 x 72 샌더 머신이 제대로 된것은 $ 1,000불도 넘어요,
      작업실 피해가 없다니 다행이예요~

    • @taejinlee5556

      이렇게 저의 wish list에 한가지가 더 추가 되었네요 ㅋㅋ

  • @enzorocha2977
    @enzorocha2977 5 років тому

    Not a hater, but as a knifemaker, I'd try the other designs from Jeremy Schmidt or Chris Fall (also found on youtube). Walter Sorrells said it best-- you want a grinder that's thick and heavy to minimize chatter, and as this video shows, there's a lot of that in this project once the motor starts up (check out the belt when running compared to the one in Schmidt's build). Good for woodworking, I'm sure, but maybe not for metalwork (imho).
