The themes as themselves were the best nonlicensed themes. I loved that cars loose parts when hit and if destroyed completely the character has to run - it’s so unique
The LEGO Friends game isn’t an adaptation of Scala, it’s an adaptation of a line literally called LEGO Friends. LEGO discontinued Scala back in 2001, while LEGO Friends began in 2012 with a much different design than Scala.
@@coolfinel Lol. I think CaptainHeckYeah was singing the Japanese DBZ theme song "Cha La Head Cha La" but with Scala in it. Apparently for no other reason than they sound similar.
There was a game released in 1999 called LEGO Friends based on the Scala line, Strider seems to have confused the two. Strangely I only know of the older game from a different video on this channel, but I guess it was a later one since he seems to have it straight there.
one thing to remember with the original lego star wars games, they were one of the first popular games to do the drop in/out multiplayer. so it wasn't taking the time to start over and let your siblings join in, or set it all up, it was just pop in that second control and boop they were playing too!
The VA still did an awesome job tho. I still remember most of his lines: “Oh Le-ex! It’s a boy!” “Where does he get these unbreakable toys?!” “You’re not sorry! You’re not sorry at all!”
Thankfully they got him, Kevin Conroy and almost every big DC voice actor to reprise their roles in Lego DC Supervillains. That was the deciding factor when I bought it. It may not be the most innovative Lego game in the franchise, but hearing all these familiar voices again and how beautiful and fluid the Lego aesthetic has gotten on consoles , I really enjoy it.
But how? Someone please explain why it's so loved. It's the worst LEGO game that I've ever played. It's just so poorly made. Levels repeat theirselves, and are overall unenjoyable with endless hordes of enemies and bad bosses.
@@veketal because it is Star Wars, it is so simple yet tricky at the same time, it's funny for all ages, you can play as lots of different characters and play through the first 6 movies. Keep in mind this was made for kids, so its was never supposed to be too difficult, and theres a good amount of things to do too, and you can start brawls in the cantina, which is always fun. This also came out around the time of the Wii, and graphics weren't the greatest thing ever. And playing it with friends is super fun too, as I remember me and my friend both playing as Boba Fett and flying around on jetpacks trying to kill each other. Fun times. Trying to go back into levels to find minikits was always fun, and trying to beat the levels while they were being timed was always a challenge. Also, you have the most unpopular opinion I have ever seen in my life. I have spoken. This is the way.
I would’ve gone for “Company of the Year”, “Businessman of the Year” or “Millionaire of the Year”. Just makes more sense imo and all 3 suit Bruce and Lex.
That was probably the worst of the Tt games. Sure, it looks pretty but it felt incredibly slow and the cutscenes were horrendous. I rather stick with the films
I remember me and my brother would play Lego Star Wars “the complete saga” for hours. A always loved the humor and all the characters we could play. I think we still have the game actually. Maybe I’ll pick it up again.
My brother and I also had that game and thoroughly enjoyed it. I usually used to play as Indiana Jones and had great fun doing that, even if I don’t actually enjoy Star Wars.
What about Lego Hary Potter, though? Game had many characters, clever stages and puzzles, excellent multi-player, and even challenge stages that can become whatever you want them to be. Oh and it uses the original soundtrack.
The thing that I love with Lego City Undercover is that it first released on the 3DS as a prequel of the WII U version (when it was still an exclusive game) so it was really cool to continue Chase's story and rediscover the city that was even greater than the 3DS version !

Let's be real: Lego Star Wars TCS is an unhated game at this point. Already, the 100+ characters is reason enough to play this holy game, but TT Games outdid themselves with the puzzles and boss battles. Yes, the spaceship controls are slightly finicky at first, but the concept behind it is easy enough to grasp. I must also add that unlocking a different "type" of character, whether that be a bombing Bounty Hunter or a sinister Sith Lord really feels right. Finally, that last minikit is yours, thanks to the gray man with red force abilities. Finally, you can get that perfect True Jedi score, thanks to a robot with bombs unlocking a bonus area! Another area I'd like to address concerning this masterpiece is the Internet. I cannot go two pages without seeing a meme about this game, whether it be Yoda's bizarre death sound or the crossover with Indiana Jones, but I can rest easy, knowing other people have a similar level of respect for this game, even if this respect was earned from a frog man groaning. With that, and the fact that it's 2 : 11 GMT, I rest my case. Good night.
I do agree that this game is amazing and definitely deserving to be on this list but everything he(the youtuber not you) said is in every other game on his best list. I can guarantee that Skywalker saga will be way better in every way. This game has bad graphics for today's standards, the levels aren't as creative and the hub world is worse then the previous two Star Wars Lego games. Overall this game is one of the best Lego games however I think that the lack of an open world, although makes sense for how old it is, is painful, the character creator is super basic, the lack of voice acting (in my opinion) makes it less interesting and the character models, combat and flying sections haven't aged well at all. Even though there are all those probloms, this game still did so much right. It's just that every game afterward did all those things and so much more. I made this comment a little while ago and would like to add some things. First reusing voice lines from the movies is not what I meant as if that is the case then making the characters silent at that point would be best. Second, this game did do so much right but pretty much the whole game has been done bigger and better. A good comparison is Lego Batman 2(btw not clone wars as that was a more experimental game). When comparing the hub worlds it is really no contest. Lego batman had a linear hub world with the bat cave but let you explore all of Gotham. There were more interesting ways to unlock characters which was really basic in complete saga. Also the cutscenes having voice lines makes room for an interesting story while being funny at the same time. With Star Wars they just reuse the story but the voice actors make an original story possible. Plus it had power ups to make up for the small amount of characters in the story mode(I know this was also a feature in Lego batman 1. The characters in Lego batman have more variation too. I am not going to pretend that all characters are unique but most have at least one thing about them that is original. This makes trying to get every character make more sense. However, there are like 6 types of characters in complete saga. While on the topic of characters the voice lines are reused way too much. For some reason jar jar binks has two death sound and Luke Skywalker shares his with a TON of characters. The amount of characters sounds impressive at first when you hear there are 100+ characters however this doesn't even matter when the amount of assets reused is obscene. Contrary to this, even the running animations for each character in Lego Batman 2 feel unique for many characters. Another point is that Lego Batman 2 has so much fan service. The attention to detail for so many small things is insane. Yet Lego Star Wars the complete sage has a bunch of fan service too, but nothing that feels like it wouldn't be in any generic Star Wars game. Taking a look at Lego games like Lego DC super villains and Lego marvel 2, they add characters that were always super obscure. When I play Lego DC Super Villains I don't automatically think of green lantern squirrel. That is what makes these games so special but complete Star Wars has barely any interesting characters. In fact, most of the roster is padded with alternate costumes for characters like Luke Skywalker, when later Lego games count these as skins rather than separate characters. Overall Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is and should be remembered as one of the greats, but is easily out done by most modern Lego games.
Honorable Mention: 2011's LEGO Universe. The first LEGO MMORPG and it had everything; unique story, combat, quests, racing, collectible weapons, classes, gear, pets, vehicles, etc. and most importantly, customization and non-linear LEGO building! A real shame it was too perfectionist and had an access paywall that couldn't sustain it for even a year.
I made a comment about this too before I saw yours, easily one of my top 3, was worth the subscription in my opinion, too bad it closed so soon, but waiting on the fan revival that's been in development for the past few years
How the heck do you always manage to time it so that the commercial break comes on right between your introduction of the thing and the name of the thing? 'cause seriously, I've watched three of your videos back to back and the cliffhangers are killing me :D ....I think it's probably coincidence...
Lego Island was the first game I ever played, and I still have some good memories. I'm looking forward to the unofficial remake. Probably not the most popular games. But I had Lego Loco, a 2D look down open world like 'game' where you build a miniature railway world. And LegoLand, a simplistic Roller coaster Tycoon game themed game.
@@vadamsvengeance3219 I enjoyed LOTR more since in the Hobbit they only did the first two movies so there is kind of a Cliff hanger but there is more to do in each level so that's a plus tho you can't jump so that kinda sucks
@@vadamsvengeance3219 I really liked the hobbit game. Personally I think Lotr and hobbit are equal. The exploration and world design in hobbit is significantly better in my opinion than in lotr however lotr I feel has more content than hobbit. Both are good
HOW IS LEGO UNIVERSE NOT MENTIONED, THAT GAME WAS SUCH AN AMAZING MMO WITH A GOOD STORY, ENGANGING GAMEPLAY, AMAZIN WORLD DESIGN, AND SUPERB MUSIC (Too bad there were too many f2p players and they could keep it up)
Thankfully that game is being revived by fans, Darkflame Lego Universe looks to be well underway but it's gonna take a few years to fully get up and running again.
The fact that they didn't have the X-men of Fantastic 4 was an incredible downgrade. Plus I don't like that they really wanted to make it more MCU than comics cause I like the references to comic history a bit more.
I would give it number 1. Its so good with a hub world that was gigantic at the time. Worlds are all fun and there's more to collect then any other lego game. One of the first with voice acting as well. That hub world really sells it though.
I recently moved and my WiFi is not great and right now I am replaying through the complete Saga trying to 100% it and it is hard but so much nostalgia I have it on the Wii and brings backs so many memories with my dad so I recommend replaying it again if you have not it brought back soooo many family memories
Lego Batman 27 No, Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 removed the X-Men and Fantastic Four after they were in the first game with important roles, they don’t deserve to be called the best game out of them all.
They had an actual LEGO game for the Scala line called “Lego Friends” released back in 1999 for the PC and it’s WAY worse than the Lego Friends game for the DS.
For me it legitimately may be Lego dC super villains because I grew up with both the DC cartoons and Lego sets. Hearing those original voice actors for the first time in Lego form was incredible.

I still ahve the pc version (surprisingly works on modern pcs) my brother and I still play it from time to time. XD
Lego Racers should have gotten an honorable mention.
Lego Racers 2 is in my opinion one of the best LEGO games. Definitely a step up from the first LEGO racers. The open worlds of the different LEGO themes are very nice. The themes as themselves were the best nonlicensed themes. I loved that cars loose parts when hit and if destroyed completely the character has to run - it’s so unique
Imo Lego Marvel Super Heroes Lord of The Rings City Undercover and DC Supervillains have the best open worlds of all the Lego games
Same tbh.

Apparently for no other reason than they sound similar.
it didn't make the game suck any less though...
There was a game released in 1999 called LEGO Friends based on the Scala line, Strider seems to have confused the two.

one thing to remember with the original lego star wars games, they were one of the first popular games to do the drop in/out multiplayer. so it wasn't taking the time to start over and let your siblings join in, or set it all up, it was just pop in that second control and boop they were playing too!
14:05 That aint mark hamil, he wasn't a voice actor in this game.
My bad >_
The VA still did an awesome job tho. I still remember most of his lines:
“Oh Le-ex! It’s a boy!”
“Where does he get these unbreakable toys?!”
“You’re not sorry!

Let's be real:
Lego Star Wars TCS is an unhated game at this point.
Good night.
The spaceship sections are pretty hateable tho, because aiming for True Jedi is nearly impossible when everything you touch kills you even walls
ikr. good point there.
sikisikiamimis the bounty hunt spaceship thingy is literally the hardest one to get a minikit
Overall Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is and should be remembered as one of the greats, but is easily out done by most modern Lego games.
>outdid themselves

Sometimes I wonder how you explain about the "bad stuff" without going completely insane.
He simply signed up for it, regardless of the pain and suffering he will receive. What a noble guy.
Honorable Mention: 2011's LEGO Universe. The first LEGO MMORPG and it had everything; unique story, combat, quests, racing, collectible weapons, classes, gear, pets, vehicles, etc. and most importantly, customization and non-linear LEGO building! A real shame it was too perfectionist and had an access paywall that couldn't sustain it for even a year.
the paywall was for the US only as well. you literally had to have an american credit card to play beyond the first world
