- Trangia cooking. I try a trangia recipe and cook teriyaki steak and noodles for dinner on my new Trangia 27 cook set. Solo overnight wild camp trip into the Hunua Ranges, New Zealand at the Lower Mangatawhiri camping area trying out my new Trangia cookset and my lightweight tent from Intents Outdoors. Its a Indie 2, lightweight 2 person tent, sold by a great Kiwi company.

Seamless footage... Occasional Adventure Person. Like the tent weight for size, though prefer stand-alone dual pitch and your Trangia system, well I'm a little jealous. Keep it up, have a safe Christmas, and I'll catch you in 2022.
Merry Christmas to your family, and Bentley. Tent is a dual pitch. I looked at a number of free-standing tents like MSR etc, but they were all more than 3 times the price of this one. Given I will be below the bush line, Im probably going to be OK. Its your fault I bought a new Trangia. I saw your burner and thought about digging my old one out. I did, but it was too beaten up, so found this one on TradeMe.

NICE COOKING! watering in my mouth. How do you clean your pan? It always looks brand new!
I dont have a problem with sticking, and I just wash with water. If there is some sticking on the pan, I boil water in it for a couple of minutes. Thats usually enough to enable me to clean it with a cloth.

No, it doesnt fit. Trangia do an aluminium plate that will nest. I use the plastic plate as a cutting board, so an aluminium one will distroy my knife! Thanks for watching.
Great Videos…. Just wondering how many hours average burning does a fill of Meths last ??
The burner reservoir isn't large. About 25 min average burn time. More if its warm, less if it's cold. I find meths struggles to burn well if it's too cold. I also mix 10% water with the meths. Doesn't effect the burn, but stops the soot blackening of the pots.
