It's a very nice balanced budget gaming rig. I have a Nephew who has a setup like this with an Aorus B450M and MSI Gaming GTX 970. "Yes!", On having the duel channel memory. Enjoyed the content. Cheers!
I have the same Setup and dont have such Performance Issues. I noticed you run the System only with 1 Stick of Ram in Single channel Mode this will half the Performane in some Titels. Ryzen benefit a great deal in Dual Channel Mode. I think this will be place this Combo in a bad Light for People who may be considering to buy a used Setup like this. This is why your Gpu Usage was only around 50 % in Cyberpunk because the Memory bandwith is halfed and could not handle the demand. And you could consider tho OC the Card. My strix GTX 970 is perfectly Stable @1500mhz Core and 4000mhz Memory with Stock Voltage . In Benchmarks this will increase the overall Performance by 14 to 17 % .
Yep that is correct. The unfortunate thing was it was not our system really to play with to much so a single stick it was to be. The full memory bandwidth makes a huge difference in some games. Maybe we will get a chance down the track with using more than one stick. Thanks for watching.
You cant call this a benchmark when half the gaer you are using is not configured right. Why does your 2600 only have 4 cores? why are you calling 60 fps high and why aren't you stressing about the usage of the parts not maxing out? Your PBO is off aka no 'best' clockspeed for GPU Your gpu is not OC'd nor is it being used because of the CPU Your ram is also scuffed for unknown reasons You dont show Powerusage just scuffed man
There is a couple of things going on here. Firstly the motherboard is using only one channel of DDR4 ram. This limits the ram bandwidth which does show in 3d games. Finally, There have been many performance and bugs fixed up in the latest version of Cyber Punk. I would say if we reran the game on the same system it would probably fair a lot better than what we had in this video. From memory, the game had only been out for a little while and we may have been running on version 1.03 or something like that. Unfortunately, we did not own this system at the time and therefore we can't easily just rerun the game now and see how it goes. Though down the track we will probably end up with another system similar and at that point, I would love to revisit this build. Since overall it ran very poorly for games in general and I think this was more to do with using 1 stick of ram instead of 2. Thanks for watching, I hope I shed some light on the situation, but I may of went off on a tangent.
You should get a lot better performance out of your system, I felt this setup really did suffer from running it in single channel mode. At the time we did not have any spare DDR4 ram and the system was a borrowed system. So unfortunately we had to leave the system as it was. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Yep the RX 580 is a hole lot better of a video card. The GTX 970 really does suffer when you use over 3.5gb of vram as well. Good job there NVidia. Thanks for watching.
@@drfreeman1609 We have no idea what is the go with Cyberpunk our gpu and cpu where basically not being full utilized. Forza 4 ran pretty much no problem @ 60fps the whole time. Thinking limited by the monitor, we probably could of gone up on details. But the game forza recommended medium settings so stuck with it. We may need to revisit cyberpunk on the the system. But we no longer have the ryzen 5 system in our possession anymore. Thanks for watching.
@@OFFbitTech something is not right with your rig a gx 970 can run pubg verylow settings above 100 fps average and 15 fps cyberpunk only on this video i see that bad performace
The problem with this system is that it only had 1 memory stick. This runs the cpu in single channel memory mode (much less memory bandwidth). We believe this is why the systems performance was under par. Ryzen CPUs struggle with slow ram, so going from a dual channel to single channel would most likely have even worse effects on performance. Thanks for watching. If we ever come across another ryzen system we will revisit this and try running this in dual channel mode. At the time we did not have any DDR4 except what was already in the motherboard.
@@OFFbitTech wow its refreshing that you actually replied. I heard ryzen is heavily dependent on fast memory too. I just noticed your gpu usage was at 50% a lot so the ram was definitely a bottleneck

is the 970 4gb or gb??
Yes this gtx 970 is a 4gb card.

Maybe so.

I have this exact setup and can run 90% of games at high/very high at 60 fps (Including RDR2 & Gta 5) this video is flat out wrong

gtx 970 is overkill for me LOL
