I have a fine example of that Era. I have a Radeon HD 7970 Ghz Edition that I had been using until a few months ago when I finally upgraded to an RX580 8gb. Honestly that 7970 is still a beast.
The GTX 560 was the first graphics card that I had. It was way back in 2012. Then I upgraded to the GTX 1060 (6GB) in 2017. Now I have a Radeon RX 6950 XT.

I feel like I'm a lurker on your videos, so "hi" (or "high" if your prefer). What an impressive little card - I confess I got bit by the bug of trying to grab flagship GPUs at appropriate prices (LOL, yes, I wait, a lot). Have you ever considered doing something with CRT gaming with these old cards - it's currently what I'm messing with. One of the great features, for this stuff at least, is that they still output analog signal - whether it be VGA (rare on anything good, sigh), DVI-I, or analog capable Displayport. (If you're wondering, I'm currently messing with a 2012 Mac Pro, dual x5680, Titan Black, Samsung NVME over PCIe, CRT @ 1600x1200, 75hz). When you start throwing old tech at aging tech, the results are kinda magical. And saving stuff from a landfill is a good thing.

I have a old Intel i7 2600k with Asus Geforce GTX 560 Ti which I used to play retro games like Crysis on high settings without any stuttering. Still love this old rig of mine to fire any retro games.
I purchased two GTX 560 in March for $45 to try SLI, so this was interesting. You should try this card on your 2nd gen Intel rig. I'd like to see the difference.

Used exactly the same GPU from 2011 till 2014 (ASUS GTX 560 1GB DirectCU). Back in 2014 vram size became a bottleneck, 2gb versions lasted a couple of years more on low settings), then switched to hd7850 dual gpu setup

Glad you find these interesting to watch! I would've included BF4 and L4D2 but I didn't have time today (or energy). I had a wedding and a couple of birthdays this week so I could only do 10 games in this review! I also wanted to upload it today because I missed the previous Sunday video, so a monday video wasn't an option! That said, I'll definitely test more games with the 560, especially BF3 because this is the recommended GPU for that game 😁

This video shows one thing and that is that back then gpus needed raw power to be better these days gpus focus on upscaling and because of this gpus these days suck alot the last actual improvement in my opinion was the rtx 2000 series the 3000 and what came after it are just jokes from nvidia about amd their gpus are still good and the last raw power gpu atm that perform well and im looking foward to intels gpus since they will be cheaper than anything in the competition but from what ive heard their gpus cant play directX10 and lower titles well so i hope that can be fixed also i loved the vid hope you do more maybe a gtx 750ti? I bought a whole system with a i7-6700k and rx570 for just 150 usd the seller said the cpu was broken but it was just a cooler and i have some at home, i just bought a new ssd and now i have a good looking pc with nice specs for just about 180 usd (with the ssd) i had before some office laptop with integrated AMD GPU Vega 8 :D huge performance increase
560ti for me with a gt 250, and 3050, i want to try and collect all 60 or 50 series i had a 1650 and 1060 before i sold them for the rtx in the shortage

I can play the game at 4k resolution high setting..

Hello kryzzp, please buy and test some radeon hd77 series like 7770 or better 7790. These Cards are still prety capable, mine 7790 1gb can run fh4 on mid-high at 720p ať 30-45 frames.
man ! i remember those days , i did skip the fermi architecture cards , i upgraded directly from a GTX 9800 to a GTX 660 , night and day , the Fermi was a "HOT" spot i avoided , but still it was performing very well , and just like Kepler architecture it didn't age well but you can still play older title with very respectable perf , i think if i had to make a top 3 of Nvidia Gpu architecture , it would be like this : 1-Pascal (GTX 1080 & 1080 Ti) 2-Turing (RTX from the 2060 super and above ) 3-Tesla (GTX 8800 , the Legend ) 4-Kepler and Fermi (a tie) (from the GTX 560 to the GTX 690 ) happy to have experienced all those architectures , from a GT 5200 to an RTX 3060tI, man ! what a journey !

Iv'e got the HD 7770 with this exact cooler it actually does a pretty decent job of keeping the card at decent temps unlike some coolers from 2011

2 gen intel i5/i7 is maxed out with gtx 1050ti/1650. in other word, gtx 560 won't be bottlenecked by the 2nd gen i5/i7.

I have one of this, extremely surprising, playing RE 2 Remake 1024x768 and Fallout 4, it saved my life.
I got 560ti from the dumpster few months ago. Cleaned it and it runs :)
Gotta say that valorant test was impressive even for an optimized game

The older 60 series cards are all gems. I still run a 460 on one of my builds

You should test cards with knockout city. It's a little intensive but not too much, and it also uses vulkan so you can't test it on older cards.

man ! i remember those days , i did skip the fermi architecture cards , i upgraded directly from a GTX 9800 to a GTX 660 , night and day , the Fermi was a "HOT" spot i avoided , but still it was performing very well , and just like Kepler architecture it didn't age well but you can still play older title with very respectable perf , i think if i had to make a top 3 of Nvidia Gpu architecture , it would be like this :
1-Pascal (GTX 1080 & 1080 Ti)
2-Turing (RTX from the 2060 super and above )
3-Tesla (GTX 8800 , the Legend )
4-Kepler and Fermi (a tie) (from the GTX 560 to the GTX 690 )
happy to have experienced all those architectures , from a GT 5200 to an RTX 3060tI, man ! what a journey !
