In this tutorial, I’m showing some of my favorite techniques on how to create a soft mauve Smokey eye. Covering all the bases from how to prep your eyes, how to blend and layer shadows to create depth, and tips on how to balance the rest of your makeup when wearing a dramatic eye look.
Now if you are not a huge fan of mauve, you can easily take all of the blending/ application techniques and use it with any color you’d like.
This is the kind of makeup look I use on myself and clients for special occasions, nighttime events, even weddings!

Nice tutorial! However I notice that her forehead is often too dark and over-contoured. looks kinda burned - is that a look?
Thank you for watching, I do like to contour my forehead and make it look a teeny bit smaller. Definitely don’t think it looks “burned” more like sunkissed. 😉
