2006. I think they were beginning to record the self-titled album while All Excess was being filled
40 minutes went fast! I really enjoyed watching this thing with you, even though i have seen this documentary before!
Unholy Confessions is the all time favorite of mine and my mother’s. She would play that song all the time, and that’s what got me into them

Amen to this. I was a fan since '05, and huge in to Pinkly Smooth, and really lost the faith after Jimmy died. I've poked around at their stuff after Nightmare but couldn't... Just couldn't. Watching reaction videos like this really has brought back so much of the passion and reminds me what it was like to feel all this in the first place...give the stuff after Nightmare an actual shot. ❤️
I love that And All Things Will End and Clairvoyant Disease are in the background of a lot of this documentary. Both easily top 3 from WTF.
I believe Zacky did have a bigger influence on Waking the Fallen because it came after STST, where he probably wrote most of the guitar parts. Matt has always been a big songwriter, seems to contribute a solid amount to all of their albums. City of Evil was mostly Syn and Matt I think, one of the band members has been quoted saying Matt and Syn wrote Sidewinder. Blinded in Chains is clearly written by Matt. The Rev of course wrote drum parts for all the albums, but didn't become a substantial songwriter until self-titled album.

This is cool..... I made the transition into a "death bat" about 6 or 7 years ago. Before that I actually had a hatred for this band equal to that of nickleback. I viewed them as poppy or too mainstream for me. Almost easy and afterlife are the 2 songs that caught my attention. Then I heard buried alive and it was over! They are now my #1 favorite

@@ViolettAudios Unfortunately UA-cam and the Copyright Mills force creators hands with this stuff. I am SURE people will tell you that I create an extraordinary amount of content but in order to dedicate the amount of time I invest, I have to do it this way

Where does Avenged go after The Stage? It's hard to see them topping it going that same direction. I say go full circle and revisit their roots. Bring back the Waking The Fallen style with their current skill sets, production quality and Matt's incredible singing. Maybe not entirely make it like Waking The Fallen but definitely bring back a lot of those elements that have been gone for last 15 years.
They never liked Metalcore so they're not going back to that style. They probably do something completely different from The Stage.
