Honestly if it wasn’t for your channel I probably wouldn’t have had the courage to lock my hair. You show just truly how diverse locks can be and it made me not feel so stuck in my journey. Current 8 months locked and loving it 😊
Girl you're the real mvp. I love how you broke so many rules yet you never gave up the journey. I enjoy changing colors as well so this video was for me. I'm now in the 2 strand twist phase and I can't wait to get to your length.
You are the QUEEN!! Love the way you BUSTED a lot of the ‘taboos’ and ‘myths’ surrounding locs! I also love that you do your own styles/ loc maintenance, too, this saving lots of money!💚
I love this update. I became obsessed with your channel last year when I was contemplating finally deciding to loc my hair. I was never a loose natural either, I was a wig, braid all things protective style girly and kept rocking my faux locs... once I saw how much versatility you showed with your vids I got my hair loc'd Jan 2023...I am mostly enjoying the process but have my days and your video really helped me know that I will get to the other side, literally all the things you are saying like how the locs were locking but your hair looked limp 😢 I was like wow.... your vid renewed my hope that may sound corny but it really did I can't wait until I reach 1yr and beyond... thank you😊❤
I am beginning my loc journey. My baby girl put them in 2 strand twists. Went looking for an informative, not too much talking, straight to the point video. And i found yours. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. Thank you for showing the different stages. Watching your videos is helping me since I live 6 hours from my daughter. Thanks for debunking the myths about locs. Keep up the great and amazing work and videos.
I've enjoyed and appreciate you sharing your loc journey! I feel like ive grown my locs along side you! My locs will be three in October. Keep up the great content :)
The talent you have to experiment so many cool styles while successfully completing the process is amazing! I've been thinking about hopping on the loc train and seeing this video is such a relief and very insightful! My fav was the extensions, heck all of the styles were awesome!
You definitely shouldn’t regret it at all! I’m very similar I looovvveee length as well and it’ll be 3 yrs for me come September! I absolutely loved all your styles it’s probably the mermaid boho curls for me
Hi I really enjoyed your journey! I loved all of the versatile & the many different styles & and colors! You did you! YOU DID THAT! I luv it! Thank you for your inspiration & encouragement! My journey is just beginning. I am a plain Jane...but you definitely give me hope! Stay blessed! Peace & ❤
I just wanted to say I LOVE that you had fun and you loved every STEP of your journey. I watched this video all the way through. You didn't let other opinions or societies expectations change your path. And thats what influences others to think "you know what, I may be going through this journey. But I can make it me." I've always struggled with my hair. When I started getting braids I became addicted. Being sad about take downs, trying to get the first 2 rows re-braided so I didn't have to take it down. I've been looking at starting my locs, and your video was just the video I needed to see. I loved how you stated you was going through different hair phases and embraced every single style. Just goes to show sometimes you know whats best for you. Keep doing you boo 💓
Thank you for documenting your journey with honesty and candor. I appreciate how you did not shy away from highlighting your challenges and I strongly admire your fearlessness in doing much of it all yourself! This has helped me to embrace my own journey, frizz and all. You're a BOSS, Sis!
Thank you so much, contemplating starting a loc journey and this was very convincing. Once I decide, thinking about starting off with about 65-70 locs as well. my hair is very thick and full. And your hair looks like my hair texture and looks gorgeous !
I absolutely love this loc tutorial. I am 7 months in...mine are still thin. Some are not loc'd. My hair is naturally curly like yours but not as thick. I can't wait until mine get thicker. You are absolutely beautiful as well. Ty ❤️
I absolutely love this video!! I’ve been loc’d since august 2020- started with 6 inch loc extensions added to my natural hair, and I’ve trimmed my locs quite a bit since. I want to go back to that shoulder length look as well. I love the length I have now just to effortless throw up in a bun or do styles easily.. but realistically, I wear my hair down in braid outs or perm rod curls. That shorter length is just bomb! I think I’m ready to cut after seeing so many styles you were able to achieve at the shorter lengths
Blessings. Thank you for sharing. You're video is in a word, inspirational. I start my hair only 5 months ago. I have over a hundred twists..surprisingly many have all began to loc . We have the same grade... Ive experienced the the exact same results. I look fwd to the 3 yr mark. Ty
Congratulations on your 3 year locversiery I really enjoyed the 2nd year all the looks were so cute lm only 3 months in and lm considering extensions I want to do so much already 😂😂😂 thank you for the video
im combing mine out , im on dayy 3 now .. but this really give me inspo to loc bacc in ayr or 2 . im really ready too try those small extensions like u did. 3 yrs of Loving Locs done for me too
Since my hair was already lightened when I started my locs, for the most part I would just deposit color using Adore which is a semi permanent hair dye.
I love your hair. but I don/t like the wig curls added to your locs. it took away from the look of the locs... I am sorry you wasn't so happy about your loc journey to the point of adding weaves and wigs etc... over all you are pretty and I love your locs even when it was short. you left a piece of extension twisted in the back
Honestly if it wasn’t for your channel I probably wouldn’t have had the courage to lock my hair. You show just truly how diverse locks can be and it made me not feel so stuck in my journey. Current 8 months locked and loving it 😊

@@SharmelLynnette my locs are breaking some say it is the color I used. What do you have about this and which color products do you recommend?

You kept it real girl. Thanks for your honestly
This was so helpful in making my decision to lock. So versatile. I love that you're not afraid to do your own thing despite what others say..
This is the reason why I want my ends to stay curly . I don’t rub my locs in my hands . I want to keep my curls . Your locs are beautiful!!! ❤❤❤❤

I just love all of your styling!!! I’m 2 years in, and my hair is just down all the time lol
where did you get these wigs!!! There was a straight one with body that had some blondish/honey brown in it that was so cute
Love your hair, and styles, they are so pretty!❤
We have the same start date. I will be one year on 9/8.
♥️ ♥️
What hair colors do you use? They’re so good 🔥🔥
On another note your so pretty you really rocked every style!!
Is it best to start 2 strands on wet or blow dried hair?
Your hair is so beautiful even without the extensions.
That cinnamon honey blond takes your locs and beauty to the next level ❤❤❤
Please share the brand and color you used😊
Do the extensions ever slip or come out? Your locs are beautiful regardless.
I’m 10 months in but girllllll you are making the loc extensions look like a go ! Cause this strange length is bothering me 😩🥲
Loved this video...thank you for sharing your journey❤❤...
Which box dye did you use ? 1:54
how have you kept your edges through so much change?! 😅 would love to see a maintenance vid if you have one
I actually have a few maintenance videos on my channel. Check out my "Loc Journey" & "Loc Styles" playlists
I like the lock extensions. I might do that.

Great video!! Thanks for sharing!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️

I’m on my first day! Loc journey ❤
You did that sis!
What pic extension did you use?
Very creative 😍💁🏾♀️
What hair dye do you use? I just hit a year with my locs
Since my hair was already lightened when I started my locs, for the most part I would just deposit color using Adore which is a semi permanent hair dye.

Were your extension human hair? Brazilian? 100% synthetic? Please
They were human hair extensions. The seller is "AfrikanLocs" on Etsy
