Hey sis 4 years over here and it’s been tough but I am committed I fall in and out of love with them but I’m also proud of my commitment to this journey best wishes to you Sis !!!!
Happy 5 years! I just hit the 5 year mark back in April and i love them! What i have learned though is that i actually like my hair shorter 😂😂 all my life i wanted super long hair and that’s actually the reason i started my loc journey! Now my locs are about mid back length and i swear im going back and forth about cutting them back to shoulder length lol. I definitely see why people say trust the process and enjoy every part of the journey !
I toyed with the idea of loc’n my hair for months. Watched video after video after video. It was because of watching your videos I took that leap and haven’t looked back since. I stayed up for hours watching your UA-cam on hair care, your journey, your do’s and dont’s,etc. the one thing you didn’t mention was the confidence that increases once you’re loc’n. I always thought I was a lil cute. Since starting and loving my locs, I’m way cuter 😂😂😂 ❤️ 2 yrs in and counting
Omg yes!! I’m almost a year in and I swear I get hit on more now since my hair has been loc’d. Could’ve been had my sugar daddy if I was thinking sooner😂
I’ve had my locs since 2002. I still love it. I also started running daily so I use mielle oil on my scalp everyday. Locs are beautiful and I love how unique they look on everyone. Have a blessed day.
I learned that I don't have commitment issues however I love something new! I use yo switch my hair every 2 wks. I also learned that beauty truly is in the eyes of the beholder.
I finally made it past 1 year last month, and I am in so much deep love with me deciding to "Trust the process" watching you videos helped so much as well too ❤
I got mines done a week and three days so far so far I’m loving it would I learn so far you can wash it shampoo it as much as you like, not used too many hair products And tips on dying hair is to make sure it’s the color that you want and the decision you want to make. Love loc Journey it is a vibe🎉
Thank you for always sharing your loc journey, tips, experience, and etc with us. 🫶🏽 Congratulations on it being 5 years for you! 🥳 It will be 3 years of my loc journey tomorrow! ☺️ Some days I really love my hair and some days I'm not as confident about my hair. I've gained and learned a lot about myself and my hair for sure! Overall though I am truly loving my loc journey! 🩷
You are SO right about the second chance. Cut my locs thinking that the second chance would be better and so far it is worse. The key is the hair - can't make it thicker and cannot make it do anything it is really not capable of doing. Less product is best. Loc N Gel seems to give the longest retwist. No oils in between and only spray with loclicious mist.
I’m 28 months loc’d & I love ❤️ them. I wish I started a decade ago, I procrastinated for 10yrs about it 😂 my locs do not like to be styled at all. I get so tender headed when they are styled, so I stopped styling 11 months ago & my locs just took off growing.
For me, it’s not build up, it’s lint from clothing and blankets, ect. There’s a way to remove lint but it damages the loc so I leave it. Eventually I’ll cut it out over the years.
My locs have broken off at the ends. It’s my hand in hair syndrome and dying it 3 years back. I’m 5 yrs and 8 months in and my locs are shorter than yours 😢
I'll be 4 and a half years I debate daily if I want to do some color but idk if I was to do extra maintenance..... and I never think that it's long 😂😂😂😂

I learned that I don't have commitment issues however I love something new! I use yo switch my hair every 2 wks. I also learned that beauty truly is in the eyes of the beholder.

Goin on 3yrs in Sept, just did my first vibrant color, loving it here... Easier buns now 😂😂😂😂😂

3 years over here! I’ve learned to be patient just leave my locs alone! lol😂 let them breathe let them be
Nice!!!
I always love your pony’s !
Do you think they harden like that because of prior hair dyes? also , do you think there’s a way to remove some of the white buildup in there?
For me, it’s not build up, it’s lint from clothing and blankets, ect. There’s a way to remove lint but it damages the loc so I leave it. Eventually I’ll cut it out over the years.

It is definitely spiritual and I do get alot of complements and inquiring if I do them
I was about to ask about the weight. I don’t think my hair will ever hang. It still sticks up. I’m ready to accept it will never hang
❤❤❤❤
