Pretty soon, these volunteers are speeding, code 3, down busy streets in the city of Brunswick, to pick up their kids or just for fun. Saint Simons is a very congested Island year round. Often grid locked in the summer. A genuine problem, except if you have a code 3 set up in your personal car. Complaints poured in and the volunteers had to remove the lights and siren. 40 of the 55 quit.

You are right, code 2 means respond quickly, no lights and sirens. I think people are watching too much GTAV police mods and assuming they know what they are talking about.
Gregory Johnson Uh Code 3 means lights and sirens but not going 10 over the speed limit. You *CAN* go over the speed limit by 10, if need be. So while your response isnt wrong its not exactly right either... :P
