- Hello viewers and welcome back to my channel for another beginners oil painting tutorial. This scene was a lot of fun to paint. I had a slight idea of what I wanted to go with for this painting, but as always it didn't go exactly as planned. I wanted to thank all of you for being here and watching my videos. My oil painting tutorial #2 really is taking off and I am so happy you all love what I am producing.

Hello! I remember so much the painting style of the great "BOB ROSS"! Even the spatula is similar to that of the great Artist and I also have it. I also have some brushes and even some colors from the Bob Ross series! Anyway, my compliments and good continuation of the work! 🙂😊👍👋👋👋

Excellent job- what oil paints do u recommend? The bob ross paints are lacking in quality compared to years ago….
Oddly enough, I have been using the Bob Ross paints since day one! I haven't used anything else, and have no need to. From time to time the tube may need to be massaged and mixed a little but typically my results are repeatable and reliable. :)
I paint very frequently if you have noticed yet, so I always buy the big tubes and roll with those until they are gone. The paint starts off a little more wet and as you get through the tube it dries out. Again, it's reliable for me and this style, but that doesn't always mean the same for everyone.

Another nice one! Whereas I always felt that Bob Ross was the better teacher, Bill Alexander was the better painter. I think Alexander's paintings had a classier, more traditional look to them, and your paintings definitely remind me of his style.

Thanks. I'm working on some studio adjustments. I think it's my fan in the background keeping the lights cool. Hopefully I'll be able to make improvements soon. I have a new studio space, thanks for your patience.
