Not a fan of Keen. If I'm going to be running around in muck and junk, I'll just wear some steel toe cowboy boots. Other than that, I wear Jim Green's for regular day to day stuff, I wear Timberland Pros for working in the garage doing woodworking or whatever, and I wear Nick's Logger Boots for most of my dry outside work stuff. If I'm going to be in a lot of wet and watery situations, I have cheap rubber boots that work great for that stuff, and the manufacturing has gotten so good, that even the cheap rubber boots have great traction now.
I wear workbooks 12+hrs a day 7 days a week...in all terrains in oil and grease on concrete etc.have tried EVERY boot that I have come across...so far the most durable and comfortable are "timberland pro logger" (and have zero use for every other timberland) they really stepped up their game with that specific boot! Found ur channel on accident and absolutley love it! U seem like really good ppl! Enjoy life and have a good Christmas to u and your family!
Keen Detroit 8" saved my foot from being cut off...or at least saved the tendons on the top of my foot from damage. I've worn keen Targhee IIs through Africa, Afghanistan, The Teatons, The Long Trail in Vermont, and countless other ventures and job sites. They are my favorite band of boot.
I'm a landscaper, going on 4 years of it now, I absolutely love what I do. I love all ur videos and no joke I wanna work for u if I ever move to Minnesota haha
I've tried dozens of brands of workboots. The only boot I will wear now is Keen Coburg. They are the only boots that last a season in my line of work. They keep my feet warm in negative temps and are very durable. Would recommend Keen boots to anyone. Love them
Keen is an amazing brand. They are the only boots that last me. The different styles they have for different conditions are great too. Plus they give veterans 50% off on their site. Cant go wrong with that.
Mid April will be 2 years with my first pair of keen work boots. Best boots I've ever had. I also wore red wings prior to keen . The boots in the video are actually men's Davenport, not Mt.Vernon. Davenports are insulated and have the traction mentioned. I highly enjoy appreciate your videos. Keep up the great work!
Most definitely one of your better videos, that was pretty cool with the fox. I was a floor installer for 17 years, the company went out. After that I ran tire shops. I've always used Wolverine or Red Wing, because they're so durable, I sprayed them with Camp spray it waterproofs them. Working on cement floors all day my whole life my feet feel great when I get off work. They really take a pounding, and they last and, they're made here in OUR COUNTRY!!
I love my Kevlar Redwings for when im working construction and on the ground, when Im roofing my kevlar redwings are no good, which is a given, they are not intended for this, now I wear a pair of Keens for roofing and they are amazing, I have used them doing ground work and they are amazing too.. thanks for the video, now everytime we ladder up the crew now all wear Keens..
It's now nearly August of 2021 and wanted you to know I was a printer for 20 years so on my feet most of the day. The best shoes I have found after trying Red Wing for several years is the Keen sparta style targhee. I tie em up to where I like them and then slip my feet in and out whenever. Funny video, thanks for sharing and love the fox.
Love my keen boots. I used to only wear Red Wings too and my dad's boss let him try a pair of his keens and he never gave them back so I had to try them and now it's all we own. Many of the models are made in Oregon but many are also made over seas. I really like the Milwaukee model and the Tacoma model.
Red Wings "Irish Setter". Best boots I've owned and no break in time whatsoever. Comfortable right out of the box. Beautiful fox man. Thanks for the video
I just bought a pair of. Baltimore Keen boots and they felt like sneakers ..best boots I ever had and the odor and sweat system that these boots have is amazing.
I wore Redwings for many years as a factory worker. They are the only boots that were smooth as silk on my feet right out of the box time after time. When your feet hurt your whole body hurts. I never had that with Redwings. They are worth the cost.
I am a mail carrier and i have a set of boots for every kind of weather, thorogood for hardsnow/ice and keen hiking boots for rain (the driest boot ive worn for 8 hours in complete downpour) adidas ultra boost for summer days. the best accessory for anyone for boots/shoes is a boot drier, it actually bakes the boots the dry, slow heat drys and kill all the germs in the boot so in the am you have a nice dry warm boot to put on.
Try a pair of Rocky. I've tried a lot of different types. Redwing, Wolverine, many name brands. Rocky with gore-tex, waterproof, thinsulate, the best bang for your buck. No break-in period, I have took them out of the box and wore them all day (16 hr. day) through mud, water, cold, heat, stood in water 6 inch deep one time for 2 hrs. no leaks, feet nice and dry. I'm in and out of the truck, tractor, combine, shop all day mushing through snow, mud, whatever, messing around with cattle. No slipping, no messy tracks. Just stomp your foot once and whatever is on the bottom becomes free and falls off. I get about 4 yrs. out of them before they wear out.
I have been wearing Bates G8 Ultralites for probably 15 years they were made in the USA originally, they do not get wet unless they get over topped. The first set lasted 2 years. I was a Volunteer Fire Fighter and construction worker. I wore them 6 days a week. As a truck driver I only wore them in the winter. Then as a waste company commercial trucks driver I wore them 6 days a week all year round. Then the third set lasted about 4 years after about 2 years I gave them a shot of seal waterproofing just for added protection. I tried other boots but they just wouldn't stand up most only lasting 6 months. Feet get wet and stay wet boots stink they do not breath. Bates has a carbon fiber toe and shank they do not get cold like steel, then they are made for Police and Fire fighters as a duty boot. They are extremely light weight not weighting much more than a average pair of tennis shoes. I love them.
i had a keen winter boots that i loved, very durable, to a point i overestimated their toughness and ended up abusing them. they broke as any boot would. overall, i think it was one of the best small winter boot i had, and i tried many high quality ones.
Ive had the best luck with my Thorogood boots over the years and ironically I haven’t had a Red Wing that has fit my feet well enough to continuously use them. I might give the Keen’s a try as long as they make a wide platform. Their standard hiking boots feel good but fit small over all.
One of the biggest things Keen is known and popular for in the outdoor hiking world is being a nice wide broad boot!! Many run super small and tight! But Keen and Merrell run wide esp Keen! Both r known for extreme comfort! I'd kill to have a pair!! Or another pair of Merrells! But no money don't buy shoes of any kind....
Redwings kill my feet because I have wide feet. Keens have nice wide boots. I’ve never found such a comfortable boot as my Keen Pittsburg. I really want to try the Philadelphias but my Pittsburgs are indestructible so I’m going to just buy them because I want them, not because I need to. 😂
Redwing 2414 supersole, i put on tuff toe, I laced up my metatarsal guards, and put in Superfeet merinogrey, had them for 2 years. By far most comfortable and durable boot I’ve ever wore. Still waterproof. I’m a gas construction laborer.
I wear Keens; steel toed, non-skid boots. Not only do I wear Keens, I wear Keens all day long 6 days a week Monday through Saturday and half the day on Sunday. I work on heavy construction sites and Keens easily last me 15 months. I love them. They're light weight, warm, waterproof (even though they're not officially waterproof), and comfortable!
It’s funny every time I watch reviews I usually tune the people talking out and just watch the product cause I feel like most of them are paid actually ors basicly so they give good reviews but on this channel I always take his word lol he just seems like an honest dude
Great video. Living in Central Texas, ice is not an issue unless you knock your sweet tea over. It’s the heat that will get to your feet. My favorite boot as a remodeler is the- Red Wing Heritage Chukka, short boot with a crepe wedge sole.
Truth .. I worked with a couple contractors from Minnesota and worked right next to them for about a week with not more than ten words spoke between us. I happened to mention pike fishing and that was it. Story time for hours. Lol.
ive work keens for years. i cant wear another boot or shoe. you're right about knocking the snow off the bottom. i've found if i kick the sides together its a little easier. great review.
i go back and forth. Thorogood's are more comfy and the leather is softer, therefore not as supportive for the ankles. As for the wedge soles, the thorogoods are thicker but made of a softer material from what i can tell, because they dont seem to last any longer and they will slice up easily if walking over anything sharp like scrap sheet metal piles.
Only shoe I've found that is actually waterproof is the keen targhee. Tried several name brands and they all don't keep out water. Keen is the only way to go.
I knew I liked you for some reason sir. Not only are you a down-to-earth hard-working individual you use the best boots out there. I do construction and my dad has always worn Red Wings. When I got my first pair the first week was miserable but after they broke in they are amazing. I've had these boots for 9 years now they've been resold twice. As far as work boots go I will never buy any other brand.
I'm a landscaper and I use Redhead boots. They are comfortable for walking all day and they keep my feet warm during the winter and cool during the summer. And also waterproof.
I must be hard on boots, no matter what I've paid they soon fall apart until by chance I bought a new pair of Corcoran model CV2330 boots that are made in PA. from a guy that sells tools on the side of the road near me. All I had with me was $15.00 and he excepted that. It's been 2 years and they still look like new.
No way man.... was just talking about you to my local tool guys, and now you stopped by and showed him your new backdrag plow! Awe man, wished I'd have known, I'd have loved to take you to lunch as a thank you for all the info you provide.
These are keen Davenport boots, not the MT vernons. I've had 2 pair of the built in america line and neither pair lasted a year. Sole separation kn the first pair and the leather where it meets the rubber pulled away or tore on the 2nd pair. Just got these Davenport's today, as Family Footwear took my old pair. I only had to pay the 10$ difference. This last pair I bought in may 2019 and they failed in December 2019...the first pair I bought in August 2018 and they failed in April 2019. Let's hope this davenport pair make it up to a year.
I work as a snowmaker at a local ski resort.. I spend 8hrs+ a day in knee deep snow and ice... I wear Dunlop steel toes thermo rubbers.. no liners or any thing! I reccomend them hands down. excellent traction.. never get cold!! check em out!
I like danners made here in oregon too they have a life time waranty and if anything fails theyll rebuild them or just give you a new pair well worth the 200 dollars i spent on them
I own two pairs of danner boots I really like them after about a year. Are you sure about that lifetime warranty? I know most are recraftable but I don't think that service is free. Guess I'll have to look into it.
@@2_be_determined I've bought 3 pair first pair in 1988 worn them out finally about 1993 active duty (light) infantry. Bought second pair still have them, still going... then Army changed boot color. Their "desert" boots lasted 2 years almost. Pair #3 soles material failed.
For 30 years I was an industrial/commercial machine mechanic, a large part of that time I repaired commercial Automatic doors, which means I spent a lot of time on my knees working on or at ground level. Once bought a $100.00 (+) pair of Redwings steel toes, which in the early 80's was a lot for a work boot, in approx. 3 months I had almost completely wore the hide off the toe area showing nothing but metal. I was severely disappointed. Never bought another pair after that.
Tip if you shop at redwing store. Don't assume all their shoes are redwings. They also carry cheap pos boots that you should stay away from. Make sure the shoe actually says redwing on them.
Did you really let an excavator put the bucket over your head and drop those boots...poor example of a safety conscious company, and dangerous. It doesn't matter how good the operator is.
Yeah he came pretty close. I'm sure he has all the trust in the world in the guys skills. Still it was a silly move, I wouldn't have done it if I was the operator.
@@gorillakillaaa If you've ever watched hydraulics failing, you would understand. Youngins can have a blast as long as they are not putting their body under heavy metal only supported by hydraulics... just like you don't go under a car without jack stands. Same reason.
I went from Redwings to Keen. I found them more comfortable. I'm on my second pair of Keen's and I do have a complaint about the soles...both pairs have split across the width of the sole. Both splits happened somewhere around the first and second year of use. Mind you that I'm wearing the boots almost everyday. Never had a pair of Redwings soles split...just worn the soles out. Come to the conclusion that comfort might be the determining factor vs. how long they last...
I have 2 different pairs of Keen boots and they are great. Very comfortable and can wear them all day without having sore feet. The same thing happened to me once in my Keens where I stepped into a ditch with a bunch of water. I didn't see the water due to being covered by a ton of brush and my feet were totally submerged. My feet didn't get sore despite being wet for most of the day. Keen boots are the real deal.
Chippewa super logger since late 80’s. I’m only on my fifth pair and one pair is clean for stepping out only. Machinists 15yrs truck driving 16yrs. First pair went through landscaping and dirt bikes.
Keen all the way. Started wearing them a few years back and don't think I'll ever switch. As for the made in China or America some of there boot lines are made in the US with all materials from the US.
I drive mixer truck so my boots never would last with always getting concrete on them and getting hosed off several time a day. Keen seems to wear way better then any other boot. They stay dry and are extremely comfortable for walking or driving
Great video. Only thing is those aren’t Keen Mt. Vernon’s. Those are Keen Davenport insulated. Just wanted to clarify for anyone looking to buy those boots.
I wear Keen Pittsburgh steel toe boots everyday. They are hands down the most comfortable steel toe boot I've worn, hold up great, and are extremely water proof.
Keens. I own 3 pair and they are all over 5 years old. I pair hiking boots 1 pair slip on walkers and 1 pair low top ties. I absolutely love them, wear them all the time and looks like I'm going to get many more years of wear out of all of them.
I was A Red Wings guy but they are what the used to be. I switched to Keen about a year ago. The last pair of red wing I bought cost about 190 bucks last about 8 months and were made in China.
Switched to Keen boots in 2010. 8" insulated waterproof steel toe version. I liked them so much that I bought another pair before the first pair wore out. Super comfortable from day 1. These boots are so comfortable, I would wear them in the summer even thought they are insulated. Now that they are worn out, I will have to find a new model from Keen because they no longer make this particular kind anymore. Love my Keens.
you gotta get the Keen Braddock is made in the U.S and they are very well built and super comfortable. Just make sure to get a 1/2 size bigger because they ran a little snug
I did a trial run through Amazon Wardrobe (7 Day trail up to 8 items) 1) Caterpillar Manifold (Lacked Comfort, I could feel the Steel Toe, lacked Support and Qaulity) 2) Timberland Pro Titan (Great Comfort, extremely nanrrow even in a wide) 3) Keen Pittsburgh (The Absolute Glass Slipper) AMAZING Comfort, Support, Qaulity and I do not even know I am wearing a Steel Toe Boot) - WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER
Far and away the best boot I have ever had is White's boots custom made for my feet. Far better than any Red wing. Carolina. when broke in they are more comfortable than tennis shoes. These boots are a little pricey on the front end but my last pair lasted me 10 years no lie 10 years. I was getting 1 year out of red wings working construction and I got 10 out of the Whites doing the same job.
Do Whites make a flat sole? from what ive seen they mostly make logger boots with aggressive soles and like 20 eyelets. Which boot compares to a classic redwing moc toe or round toe?
I keep buying cheap $70 boots and my feet keep killing me. Any recommendations on some really comfortable work boots. At this point I’m willing to put out the money. The Fox is beautiful btw 👍🏽
Best long lasting boots I’ve come across are thorogoods, they’re well-made and use quality full grain leather. Best cheap boots I’ve had are dewalts. They’re comfortable, cheap, and they’ll usually last about a year
Did residential tree service for 6 years. I also have a 26 acre farm and I'm always out in the woods. I wear Chippewa American loggers unless im on the town or i know I should be landscaping in good conditions. In that case I wear Merrill, ankle high hiking boots.
I recently graduated to White's Boots... I've had Filson, Irish Setter, Cabella's, Browning, Georgia, Rocky, Keen, Vasque, Merrell, Ice Bug, and other boots in the past but the White's are a whole different breed of boot.
Being female, with size 7 womans foot, good boots are hell to find. I gave up long ago on anything from Marks WWH. Like many outlet stores, I can't believe the cheap princess crap they try to pass for work boots. Pink shoe laces aren't worth the grief... My favorite boots are my leather steel toe redwings (electrician boots I think they are called). Had them so long I cant remember...Made for gals like me to take abuse in horse paddocks daily for almost 10 years. They have the 'roper flap' to fit in country stylin', and can withstand 1100 pounds of shod horse stepping on them or being submerged in muck for a day. I also own a pair of leather Terra boots sized for men with 6 inch ankle for construction. They look like a combat boot, and like the redwings, require no break-in period. No sweaty or cold feet, (yay!) and I love the cut outs on the sides to yank them on. Good enough to hunt in.
Tried them all in heavy work, forestry, landscape and solar construction and utility distribution audits ( ditch humping mostly). Using Thermics now; although a bit heavy they are a serious "all wheel drive" boot, comfortable shock absorption, armoured shins, and form fitting which means your feet and ankles have all-around support and not as hot as you would think.
After going though several pairs of redwing, ba mason, a variety of military boots and other boots I came across a company called Russel Moccasin who hand makes their boots custom fit. After spending about $600 I got a pair of boots that are hands down the best I have ever had. So far they have outlasted 2 pairs of any of the previous boots mentioned with much more service in front of them.
I know lots of people that love their Keens and they do make sturdy footwear, but...I haven't had good experiences with them. I replaced a pair of Tevas with some Keens and that is when I first started developing plantar fasciitis (fallen arches). The Keens had zero arch support and I guess I've always had high arches. I never even knew because no shoe I have ever worn has had so little arch support. Even with orthotics, I could still barely walk in my Keens at the end of a workday. I finally went back to some new Tevas and my plantar fasciitis immediately started getting better. It is now a few years later and it is pretty much gone. Take from that what you will.
Was looking at video reviews of electric chain saws for my wife, so she didn't have to use the 22 inch Stihl, when I saw this video. Absolutely luv your fox. I have been wearing Keen boots every day for the last 2 years and have yet to have a complaint. Waterproof, comfortable from day 1, work very well in the summer heat or winter cold (at least KY cold). Looking at their web site, or in the stores, you will find that some are made in China and some made in America, sometimes it's hard to find the country of origin though. Ran into the same thing years ago when I bought a pair of Justin boots. Both times I ran into features I liked better in the foreign boot, but always bought American.
Aldi's the grocery store chain had some work boots on sale last year for about $20.00 I bought a pair but took em back . They had a hole in em where the "pleather" didn't even come together at the seam . Can you keep an eye out for em in their ad's this fall and maybe do a review if they sell em again ? I'm still waiting for you to do a review on the Texas Steer work boots ! Who sells those now anyway ?
Vibram Soles are the best in my opinion highly recommend them to anyone who has not tried them before! Although if you havent your probably living under a rock lol.. I have not tried these keen boots before and they seem very nice. Vibram soles though stick extremely well to slippery surfaces!! I have also compared their soles to other boot company soles and vibrams never seize to amaze me!! Most good boot companies usually offer a boot with vibrams! Even boot companies that make their own soles usually sell a higher end pair with vibram soles. Very interested in trying these keens though! I owned a pair of keen sandals and they were great but they did not have the yellow specks in the sole like your pair does. Keene has a foot shape design that i like. Very cool video! Very cool fox too!! Fox have always been my favorite animals, they are very intelligent creatures!
So Stan what's the upshot of the boot situation ,still wearing the keans or gone back to Redwings. I use A/T Olivers but I am replacing every 12 months. Thanks again. Aussie Jeff
Most of the Boots that wear are Carolina's. Gotta say Stan, I'm surprised you don't have a pair of muck Boots or something similar for when you walk your Fox.
I love keen work boots!! When I worked for cintas we used them and I use keen boots for my job as a window cleaner. They grab very very nice on roofs and ladders
I accidentally bought a pair of Keen boots, well it was really my only choice due to the size of my feet. Needed them for a Landscape Management program I enrolled in. Every other boot I tried tore my feet up. They really are bless. That was a good intro haha.
I didn't read past the first 20 comments on your video so forgive me if someone else posted this but I couldn't find them by the name you read off of the boots you mentioned in the video. I went to Keen's website directly and found that they are these on their website: Keen Men's Davenport 6" Insulated Waterproof BooT. PS: thanks for the great video in bringing this Boot brand to my attention. I myself hail from the North East and I will give them a try.
I've been wearing Keen sandals, shoes and boots for years.I get so much compliments on them.Where I live always has buy one get one no other place in the world has a better deal.
I only wear REDWINGS, my dad wore them and I stuck with them. I quit my job of building timberframes after 17yrs and now work in a metal fab shop. I do everything there, I've tried other boots because I sand blast a lot, my boots don't come off after I'm home either. I've very busy with everything at home. Redwings last the longest and hold their comfort level the same from 5am untill 11pm
Jalatte Swedish welders/offshore boots for me all the way. Comfy like your favorite pair of old slippers, good traction, durable, and saves you from tracking mud through the house because you can easily kick em off at the door (no laces)
Love my Wolverine Steel Toe work boots for the summer. But just bought a pair of insulated Sorel Winter boots at Cabelas! For the first time ever I'm enjoying warm dry feet no matter what the Temp is!
Hey I am a custom carpenter (finish ) and I wore nothing but Red Wings and occasionally a lace to toe Danner (I wore out in 5 months). Then I seen a pair of Keens ; their “San Jose” boot! It’s warmer here in Northern California gets to maybe 25-30 degrees winter and 100 plus summer? I love these boots and I hv a new pair of Red Wings? I won’t take off my Keens! Hey what’s up with the square I hv a headache? Might hv to take legal action here?
I have a pair of Sperrys for off-work winter wear. And a pair of Irish Setter hunting boots for deep snow and water. Most comfortable of all, my HiTeks but they didn’t last long. Man I miss those.
WTF is up with the blurred square?
Not a fan of Keen. If I'm going to be running around in muck and junk, I'll just wear some steel toe cowboy boots. Other than that, I wear Jim Green's for regular day to day stuff, I wear Timberland Pros for working in the garage doing woodworking or whatever, and I wear Nick's Logger Boots for most of my dry outside work stuff. If I'm going to be in a lot of wet and watery situations, I have cheap rubber boots that work great for that stuff, and the manufacturing has gotten so good, that even the cheap rubber boots have great traction now.
5:50 “what is that? Is that a dog?” “No” had me dying lol
Lmao he even skip edited their conversation😂😂😂💀
😅 maybe he didn't want the authorities called 🤔 hmmm....
He edited because we all know it's illegal to have a wild animal lol.
not here few here in canada adopts them as pets and protects them from dangerous hunters wich there friendly and playful little things :)
That would be like a new "Here's Your Sign" joke for Bill Engvall.

This is painful. Does he ever show the boots?
🤣🤣🤣 yes he does. They're the Keen Mt Vernon's. And believe it or not, he seems to actually be a fan of them. I kept waiting for him to slam them.
Thanks Ryan and happy you love what you are doing !
I found you after searching cool tools
And now im here after searching about boots.
I also watch the work you do.
Got me hooked.

Red Wings "Irish Setter". Best boots I've owned and no break in time whatsoever. Comfortable right out of the box. Beautiful fox man. Thanks for the video
Thanks Eric !
Ive had bad luck with irish setter
I just bought a pair of. Baltimore Keen boots and they felt like sneakers ..best boots I ever had and the odor and sweat system that these boots have is amazing.
Cool stuff, thanks for sharing Rene!
See that's the reason I wear boots because I hate sneakers.
What size do you wear, lace up or slip on
I wore Redwings for many years as a factory worker. They are the only boots that were smooth as silk on my feet right out of the box time after time. When your feet hurt your whole body hurts. I never had that with Redwings. They are worth the cost.

Cool! Thanks for sharing that Rene
Keens are really comfy and durable boots! Ive got 4 pairs of them and have no complaints
Awesome stuff 👊
Red wing 606 with superfeet soles are one of the most comfortable boot on the market.
Thank you Shawn
Great video. Living in Central Texas, ice is not an issue unless you knock your sweet tea over. It’s the heat that will get to your feet. My favorite boot as a remodeler is the- Red Wing Heritage Chukka, short boot with a crepe wedge sole.
Typical Minnesotant. Story telling for days on end. 😂 surprised there wasn't a fish story in there. Just kidding. Great video
Truth .. I worked with a couple contractors from Minnesota and worked right next to them for about a week with not more than ten words spoke between us. I happened to mention pike fishing and that was it. Story time for hours. Lol.
I’m from MN and this is so true🤣
Lol...that funny
Damn packer fans
I feel sorry for his wife.LOL
ive work keens for years. i cant wear another boot or shoe. you're right about knocking the snow off the bottom. i've found if i kick the sides together its a little easier. great review.
chad hall sub to me I sub to you
US made Redwings are great boots but I go with Thorogood at darn near half the price. Still a very good US made boot.
who sells thorogood?
Cant trust that "us made" red wings are infact us made anymore.
Check out unionbootpro.com they sell thorogoods.
robby844, what?
i go back and forth.
Totally different style of boot but my preference is the Chippewa super logger
Chippewa is the affordable, quality boot maker.
I am loving this almost daily uploads Stanley!!! As a 16 year old I can’t get enough!!! Thank you so much 😊
What a beautiful fox, Stan!
Good percentage of us Rail Roaders up north wear Timberland boats. I use them for work then out for a hike. Very nice boots.
ironranger1 ever try the baffins?
I knew I liked you for some reason sir. Not only are you a down-to-earth hard-working individual you use the best boots out there. I do construction and my dad has always worn Red Wings. When I got my first pair the first week was miserable but after they broke in they are amazing. I've had these boots for 9 years now they've been resold twice. As far as work boots go I will never buy any other brand.
Thanks!
That's awesome Joseph and a great deal !
Yep, Corcorans are no joke.
My boots started to unglue on the front toe cap portions and in the end they took care of me! Keen is a seriously great company!
I'm from MN too and I wear the Keen Flint mid steel toes, almost all year round. they are comfortable and help keep my feet dry from sweaty feet.
@@2_be_determined 1 year warranty
I love my Acaidias
@@2_be_determined
I've bought 3 pair first pair in 1988 worn them out finally about 1993 active duty (light) infantry. Bought second pair still have them, still going... then Army changed boot color. Their "desert" boots lasted 2 years almost. Pair #3 soles material failed.
I bought Danner one time and always felt like Frankenstein's monster with them on. H-E-A-V-Y!
Used to build giant tires Bought a 160$ pair Redwings back in the late 70s lasted 2 months . Haven't bought any sense
I did get my money back, bought Herman Survivor first ones that ran to China and ruined their boots
Tip if you shop at redwing store. Don't assume all their shoes are redwings. They also carry cheap pos boots that you should stay away from. Make sure the shoe actually says redwing on them.
Mine were red wings bought off Red Wing Truck red wing tags all that crap
john scott-bullshit
Did you really let an excavator put the bucket over your head and drop those boots...poor example of a safety conscious company, and dangerous.
It doesn't matter how good the operator is.
Yeah he came pretty close. I'm sure he has all the trust in the world in the guys skills. Still it was a silly move, I wouldn't have done it if I was the operator.
Yeah, no thanks.
Okay grandps, go back to the recliner sipping your bud light and let the youngins have their fun
@@gorillakillaaa If you've ever watched hydraulics failing, you would understand. Youngins can have a blast as long as they are not putting their body under heavy metal only supported by hydraulics... just like you don't go under a car without jack stands. Same reason.
You do the best reviews Stan!
Yes, the comfort is really important. Thank you for watching Mark !
Hey Stan. I’m wicked hard on boots I killed a pair of rocky boots in 6months my KEENS lasted 2years “GO KEEN” I love these boots
Chippewa super logger since late 80’s. I’m only on my fifth pair and one pair is clean for stepping out only. Machinists 15yrs truck driving 16yrs. First pair went through landscaping and dirt bikes.
I thought my raccoons were the coolest pets ever now i am not sure.
Awesome, glad you found the right boots for you , thanks for watching !
I was A Red Wings guy but they are what the used to be. I switched to Keen about a year ago. The last pair of red wing I bought cost about 190 bucks last about 8 months and were made in China.
I love my Keens they are the best boot I have found! I am so surprised by how light they are for a steel toe boots!
This guy is an amazing salesman. The way this video is setup and structured. Perfect sales pitch.
Thanks fir viewing Bryan !
I did a trial run through Amazon Wardrobe (7 Day trail up to 8 items)
1) Caterpillar Manifold (Lacked Comfort, I could feel the Steel Toe, lacked Support and Qaulity)
2) Timberland Pro Titan (Great Comfort, extremely nanrrow even in a wide)
3) Keen Pittsburgh (The Absolute Glass Slipper) AMAZING Comfort, Support, Qaulity and I do not even know I am wearing a Steel Toe Boot) - WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER
Silverado boots made in Somerset Pennsylvania can't beat them !
Mark Spande I agree on the paying more on the front end, I have whites, wescos, nicks, vibergs, can’t spend too much on work boots.
Do Whites make a flat sole? from what ive seen they mostly make logger boots with aggressive soles and like 20 eyelets. Which boot compares to a classic redwing moc toe or round toe?
Franks boots are made in spokane and have been better boots than my hawthorns or nicks.
My son and I just bought our first pairs of Keen boots over Thanksgiving and we love them! Go Keen!
Awesome!
I keep buying cheap $70 boots and my feet keep killing me. Any recommendations on some really comfortable work boots. At this point I’m willing to put out the money. The Fox is beautiful btw 👍🏽
Try HOSS boots. They're fairly cheap and durable. Their boots size are a bit flexible, comparably to other boots companies they made.
Danner makes some great boots
Best long lasting boots I’ve come across are thorogoods, they’re well-made and use quality full grain leather. Best cheap boots I’ve had are dewalts. They’re comfortable, cheap, and they’ll usually last about a year
I too used to wear Red Wings religiously I switched over to Keene trying something new and I've been very impressed
Bill Roberts red wings arnt what they used to be my aunt retired out of there a few years back lol now i have to actually pay for my boots
I bought a pair of redwings for $380 and returned them 2 days later for a full refund. I’ll never buy another pair. Not worth the money.
Thanks for the comments Raye Anne and thank you for watching !
Whoa, what a beautiful animal!
Thanks for the boot review, too!
You're welcome Sharon and thanks for watching !
Love all the videos are how often u upload now
Tried them all in heavy work, forestry, landscape and solar construction and utility distribution audits ( ditch humping mostly). Using Thermics now; although a bit heavy they are a serious "all wheel drive" boot, comfortable shock absorption, armoured shins, and form fitting which means your feet and ankles have all-around support and not as hot as you would think.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Cant take a guys word on workboots whos hands are clearly as clean and soft as my wifes.
As a Russell I approve this comment
Hell of an entrance stan
Thorogood hands down they are the best boot I have ever had.
you've never owned a (heritage) redwing, then.
turtlepowersf ...they are slightly overrated
Both times I ran into features I liked better in the foreign boot, but always bought American.
worst boots and shoes I've ever worn were redwings.
Thank you for the comments and thanks for watching !!
Stanley . . . Do you recommend these boots for summer? Great videos! I love your passion!
So Stan what's the upshot of the boot situation ,still wearing the keans or gone back to Redwings. I use A/T Olivers but I am replacing every 12 months. Thanks again. Aussie Jeff
Most of the Boots that wear are Carolina's.
Gotta say Stan, I'm surprised you don't have a pair of muck Boots or something similar for when you walk your Fox.
hemijohn03 muck boots r the best where them plowing, hunting and ice fishing
Muck boots are heavy in my opinion.
I am loyal to my Carolinas loggers boots
no support in a muck boot will wreck your feet
I'm a Pacific NW guy and have Danner pretty close by. I'm a Danner boot guy.
I went to Keen's website directly and found that they are these on their website:
Keen Men's Davenport 6" Insulated Waterproof BooT.
PS: thanks for the great video in bringing this Boot brand to my attention. I myself hail from the North East and I will give them a try.
I've been wearing Keen sandals, shoes and boots for years.I get so much compliments on them.Where I live always has buy one get one no other place in the world has a better deal.
hillarious :D the weather may be frozen but the attitudes still sunny :)
I love my Keen PCT for hiking and working!!!
