Just stumbled upon your channel after reading Operation Bullpen for the second time! Outstanding read, I highly recommend for anybody into sports memorabilia! Very informative video gj!
I absolutely love these analytic videos Frank. Keep it up.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed
@@baseballHOFautographs can I send u video thru UA-cam of my mantle autograph? It's on MLB plaque bought in 94 with certificate but I don't have certificate anymore

Very cool and informative!
Great video. It's funny but once you know what to look for (as you pointed out) the bad Mantle's really jump out at you.
Cool thanks for the info
Awesome Video, do you know where I can find a good video for the older Mantle auto's like ~1950 before he did the half-moon's? Seems like his older auto's don't follow all of these same rules you mentioned.
Frank, the dot on the "i" is also a giveaway. Mantle usually dragged it down versus making a "dot." Thanks for the video, I learned some other tips!
There are a lot of differences, didn’t want to give all of them away, but the main ones.
drags it down
Great info! Thank you sir. My question is what is a good price someone should be buying a legit mantle signed ball at? They usually seem to float around $500-1000
I appreciate you sharing. Very informative. I have a newer one that I am pretty sure is fake. It looks like the banana example. His autograph has changed over the years for sure. I have another one he signed in 1952 that my wife's Uncle got from Archie Wilson who was a family relative through marriage. He had the Yankees who were there that day sign the a piece of stationary from the Soreno Hotel where they stayed during spring training. The only big names I know that didn't sign it were Bill Dickey and Billy Martin. White Ford was not on the team at the time due to a military commitment. Archie Wilson was Mantle's roommate in spring training. Definitely different looking than the ones you show, but his signature was nice, just more simple.
Agreed, he had such a good signature in the 50s, but still nice until the end
Hi! History is definitely neat to hear and share! I wish I would have liked it in highschool!
Can you look at my Mickey Mantle to see if it’s legit? Do you have an email I can send it to?
I have a Mantle autographed ball that I just came across. This video is very informative, however, my ball is either authentic or a very good fake. Would like to send a pic to the author/admin of this post for their own personal opinion.
I've got a Mantle I'd love for you to look at!
Hello. Thank you for your video. I was hoping to get your input on a signature on a ball passed down to me. Looks shaky but you would be the expert. Please let me know you have the time. Thank you.
Solid video about Mantle autographs; definitely one of the most faked if not #1!
Great Video! How can I get a Micky Mantle baseball authenticated?
I was passed down a MM autographed baseball, could you help looking at it? Judging by what you showed in the video it’s leaning towards a fake but I rather be 100% sure
We had a signed Softball my parent got from Mickey Mantle. Is it worth anything?
I have seen earlier Mantles with a different shape'M'. I have a 58' Mantle baseball card with his full name but rather sceptical of it's authenticity. How would I know?
Correct, when he was a rookie/early years, his "m" was more of a standalone M and not really a cursive M. Guess you could always send it in to a TPA (PSA/JSA)
I have a Mantle Auto on an 8x10, that I'm now pretty sure it's legit after your video but I'd like for you to take a quick look at it if you would, anyway I can email you a pic of it??
Another lesson in baseball HOF autographs! Do you pay extra for the middle name?
Where can I send a picture of a mantle ball for you to look at?

Frank, I see your a fellow metro Detroiter. I stumbled upon your video as I’m just about to purchase a Mickey mantle signed ball from the 70’s (allegedly). I’d love to get your input (unofficially) prior to buying it. Let me know if I can send pics and get your thoughts- Larry
Sure, send picks to frankr@schreiber.cpa
A person is selling an autographed mickey mantle card for 200$. Was wondering if you think its a fake? How can i send you a screen shot of it?
At that price; I would be very suspicious
Could you take a look at a mickey mantle supposedly authenticated autograph for me
Sure, subscribe to channel and email me at frankr@schreiber.cpa
Mr. Frank could I send u a pic of a Mantle that I just bought and was thinking about sending it to JSA Would u be able to look at it sir if I sent u a Pic Thanks God Bless

I have a autograph from Mickey Mantle on a prescription slip that he personalized on October 24th 1952 when he had to have a physical at the US Army Hospital in Fort Sill OK. It was a 2 day physical that my step-grandfather was able to get as he was one of the Doctors who was working there. I know it's authentic, but is it worth getting it authenticated? I'm not looking to sell. I just want to frame it and hang it.
Honestly, depending on size, I would maybe get it encapsulated to UV protect it. However, if you know it is real-authenticating it just for the sake of authenticating it is a waste of $$ IMHO.
@@baseballHOFautographs thank you! It's definitely real. My step grandfather was stationed there and was a doctor!
I’ve recently come across a free Mickey Mantle autographed photo. Is there any way I could send you some pictures of it and you could tell me if you think it is authentic or forged?
Sure-email me frankr@schreiber.cpa
@@baseballHOFautographs Done. Thank you!
Very tough signature to authenticate imo
You still taking request on Mantles, I have one, using your video I say yes, but I don't know how to send it to you

Frank I was impulsive and bought a non certified Mantle ball. Where can I send you a pic? Would love to save the PSA $ if you think it’s a total fraud
Frankr@schreiber.cpa
I put him well over Ruth on the actual number of fakes. Maybe not % of fakes. I would be scared of almost every sharpie 8x10 and items signed w DiMaggio and Williams and such. High % fake
Can i get an opinion on a mantle?
Sure, email me at frankr@schreiber.cpa; safe or out on FB is also a great reference to
How about this unusual early Mantle?
Different beast altogether and much less forged
I got a real one.
I have a Mantle auto ball I'd appreciate you looking at if you have a time. Mahalo. Crash
Sure, email me at frankr@schreiber.cpa
Can you please help me with a mantle Authogtaph?
Sure. Email me at frankr@schreiber.cpa
Hey Frank great videos. Trying to find an email that I could bounce a mantle off you.
All the best
Honestly, the FB group "Safe or Out" are great when it comes to Mantle.
I got burned on a Dimaggio, Mantle, Williams 8x10 made by the Operation Bullpen guys. I was 15-16 and had to put it on "layaway" and pay the guy every few weeks with money I made mowing lawns. It takes a special kind of scumbag to rip off a kid like that. I'm an expert on Mariano Rivera (1400 of his autos in my collection) if you or anyone else ever need a free opinion on one of his let me know.
Would u beable 2 tell me of I have a fake or a real mantle if I sent u a pic of it
Sure, send to my work email.

can auto pens be used on bats and balls?
Depends on pen/marker-but yes. A sharpie would work on both…but could fade rather easily.
Could you look at mine
Sure, frankr@schreiber.cpa
hello sir i sent you a email...thanks
Hey “genius” Instead of just searching “Mantle” maybe if you searched “Mantle Autographed Baseball” you would get tons of them. 🤦
